There is a newer looking one about three blocks away from this one, so perhaps it is just for looks. But yeah, they can be an eye sore, however they are needed for getting water to our homes around here. <BR/><BR/>What I like most about water towers now are all of the attachments that are growing off of them now for the cell phone users. I remember Minnesota having at least one in almost every town.
