Reach 11 Recreation Area Sunset Hike

Awesome sunset hike tonight at the Phoenix's Reach 11 Recreation Area. I entered the rec area at Scottsdale Rd. and Princess Blvd.

Tip: great spot to explore....and it is located very close to the Princess Resort. Good cell phone coverage. Best to not travel alone. No park rangers or patrols spotted during my visits.

Access points are provided at Tatum Boulevard, Cave Creek Road, 56th Street and Scottsdale Road.

Reach 11 Recreation Area is a 1500-acre City of Phoenix, Parks and Recreation district park. The recreation area is approximately 7 miles long and less than 1/2 mile wide. The park runs east and west along the north side of the CAP canal. The park includes 18 miles of trails.

The AAA Five Diamond Award for hotels and restaurants is North America’s most coveted symbol of excellence in the hospitality industry, according to American Automobile Association.

Five Scottsdale resorts have received the AAA Five Diamond Award for 2010, AAA public relations manager Heather Hunter said.

Camelback Inn, A JW Marriott Resort & Spa, was named a AAA Five Diamond Award winner for the 34th year in a row, AAA announced Friday.

Fairmont Scottsdale, received the AAA Five Diamond Award for the 19th year in a row.

Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North, received the AAA Five Diamond Award for the 9th year in a row.

The Phoenician, received the AAA Five Diamond Award for the 6th year in a row.

The Canyon Suites at the Phoenician, received the AAA Five Diamond Award for the 3rd year in a row.

Arizona's winners will receive their award at an event at the Camelback Inn on Nov. 17, said Michelle Donati, a spokeswoman for AAA Arizona.

Missing 11-Year-Old Boy Found

The Scottsdale Police Department says that a missing 11 year old boy has been found at his family's home near 17th Street and Freemont in Phoenix. Police say that the boy is well. The boy was picked up by his 20 year old brother and brought to the house, said Officer David Pubins, a Scottsdale police spokesman.

The boy was missing earlier today from Navajo Elementary School (4525 N. Granite Reef Road, according to Officer David Pubins.

No Scottsdale hotels on the Forbes Travel Guide Five Star list.... The Phoenician won a Four Star rating.

No Five Star Scottsdale restaurants for 2010. The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North's Talavera restaurant was awarded Four Stars.

Scottsdale has two Four Star Spas. 2010 Forbes Travel Guide awarded Four Stars to two Scottsdale spas: The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North and the Willow Stream, The Spa at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess.

The Wrigley Mansion is a NO AWARD winning restaurant, according to the latest Maricopa County Environmental Services inspection. Restaurant inspectors recently visited the restaurant on September 24, 2009. The inspection report detailed 4 major violations. The Environment Services websites notes that the restaurant received a no award!

Restaurant inspection records show the Wrigley Mansion had 27 major violations in a span of three years!

Dear Mr. Drudge:

I have written two editorials which have been published this past year in the USA TODAY.

I have written now three editorials to the publisher on the Marriott Camelback Inn in Phoenix, AZ that have gone without any interest from the USA Today. Maybe because each room at the resort gets a USA Today M-F!

I have ended my silence on an very disturbing practice at this five star five diamond resort of getting interior and outside information on inspections of the two major hotel travel guides AAA and Mobil.

Not only is this hotel cheating each US consumer it's management was doing this for all these years (I was there 7) and the resort has not been caught!

To verify that the possible inspector is actually one I witnessed management in guests rooms going through belongings while the guest was gone (inspector).

The resort when I was there was being tipped off of inspectors by the [Business Name Removed by Me] with guest names (inspectors) and vehicle info......I thought that info is supposed to be private....

Also the Marriott was using past info from inspections and using reservation names and tracing the computer info with all the past known inspectors and all known AAA and Mobil inspectors.

Security was in room next door or across the way in full view of the inspectors room with binoculars viewing comings and goings by the inspector.

This resort has the longest going five star five diamond rating going!!!!!!!!!

Bill Marriott owns rooms at this property too along with co- fortune wealthiest in world [Name and Business Removed by Me]. Also a possible past Mobil employee or board member owns a unit. Bill Marriott is also on the board of GM which is associated with Mobil Travel Guide now with it's gizmo in it's new cars for travel info...

Also the Camelback Inns one of it's largest clients is [Business Name Removed by Me] associated with Mobil is in every year.....and guess what the Board of Directors Meets every year at the Five Star Five Diamond Marriotts Camelback Inn..........

Can you catch the drift Mr. Drudge....I have not told you that this resort is aging and many rooms 1/4 of property is NOT Five Star Quality views rooms a/c this property was one of the first in AZ and is Managed by Marriott and all the rooms are individually owned....many by Marriott Family Members....

The [Name Removed by Me] has been there over 20 years he's the mastermind of this thats why he has not been transfered when gm's normally would be........He would be out front in dark glasses and hat watching things....heheheh

The Bell Captain and Asst [Name Removed by Me] and [Name Removed by Me].....would always take this inspectors to the rooms....no one else and these rooms would be the best and new everything down to the comforters........the resort has even blocked many more and done the same make over in case of room changes and for the inspection of others rooms by the inspector which always takes place..

This is all supposed to be secret on these inspections......but Marriott Camelback Inn each and every time new in advance and was ready......it was so funny that security would follow the Inspector around and radio the where a bouts to warn the hotel and even the restaurants would hold off on taking reservations to allow Management to fill the tables around the inspector to ease drop ect......that happened where ever the inspector went......spa...there would boom be Management in the tub ...to chat ect ect...

Well I think I have said enough if this is in your interest and would like more info please contact me. I am a 13 Year Member of AAA Auto Club and would like the traveling public and spending consumer to not be cheated in any way.
