Despite a boring (and painy) broken foot and the necessity to walk with boring (and uncomfortable) pair of crutches, last night we went to the UnderCover Event in Giardino dei Boboli, Firenze. Let's start to say that all the pain we felt was completely repayed by the beauty of the show. The Show was composed by the presentation of the Men's Collection and the "Doll's Making" Show. The fashion Show was unbelievable: Collection was damn good and innovative and, in a certain way, a "next level". After the fashion show, we all moved to a different location even better than the previous one, to watch Jun himself operating live on the "Doll's making". Doll making was impressive, visionary and a bit psychedelic, due to the perpetual electronic soundtrack; something impossible to forget. The final result was wonderful and really moving.

The premise of this book couldn’t be simpler: 130 photographs of Damien Hirst taken by David Bailey during a single shoot lasting eight minutes. Each pose is spontaneous and determined not by Bailey but by Hirst, who mocks the camera with his tongue poked out, mouth open wide and hands pulling at his cheeks.

We haven't decided yet: is this a genius idea, or is it just crap?!?

Even if we live in a "global world" where is possible to find everything, everywhere, we still have some difficulties to put our hands on the stuff we love. Ebay is plenty with fakes and japanese online stores are generally damn expensive, plus they usually don't ship oversea. For those reasons, when we finally discovered the Dope Factory website we couldn't believe it was real. We simply tought it was a joke. Happily it's not a joke, but a dream that come true; a place where is possible to find the hottest stuff at the coolest price! If you are after brands such as Neighborhood, Visvim, Nike, Head Porter or PAM you can't miss to bookmark their address and check it constantly.

Last month we were talking about the rumors of a possible re-retro of this Jordan Beauty.

Today we have the official picture and the official release date.

The Air Jordan III True Blue features a white leather upper with true blue accents on the mid-sole, inner lining, and lace region, white cement print is place on the heel, lace region and toecap. As of now, no major differences between the re-retro and the retro (2001) release can be spotted.This extremely sought after sneaker has a tentative release month of August 2009, so be sure to stay tuned for updates.

Everybody calls themself streetwear lovers should know Malcom McLauren. But if you don't know who this Icon is, let us give you few bits!!
Malcolm Mclauren was born in 1946 in the suburbs of London, England. In 1971, he and then partner Vivienne Westwood opened a shop inspired by the Teddy Boy movement called Let It Rock in West London.

After being manager and designer of the band New York Dolls, turned his focus to fetish wear that paved the way for punk, in the 1975 he formed and managed the legendary band, The Sex Pistols.

In 1983 McLaren embarked on a solo music career with the release of his album "Duck Rock". His new music
was a fusion of the then newly emerging hip hop sounds with more traditional African and American music. The album was a collaboration with "The World Famous Supreme Team" that was Just Allah and See Divine, two emcees from New York City. McLaren also worked on the Album with key artists of the time including Dondi White and Keith Haring.

Supreme will release a small collection with Malcom Mclaren comprised of original artwork on tees, hoodie and New Era hat. In addition, a Vans V-79 was designed for the project.

The collection will drop this weekend so make sure you will pop by your dealer.

Marco "Marzok" Marzocchi è una di quelle persone che oggi verrebbero etichettate come "multitalentate". E' stato un campione di skate quando nessuno ancora ci aveva visto un modo per fare soldi, è un culture della musica hard core-punk, è un collezionista ossessivo di vecchie fanzines e adesso è pure un feroce appassionato di quelle bighe senza freni che piacciono tanto "alla gente che piace", ma la sua prima e vera passione, che ha trasformato brillantemente nel suo lavoro, è la fotografia. Secondo noi è uno dei fotografi più interessanti ed intelligenti in circolazione. Per questo motivo quando abbiamo saputo che aveva in corso un progetto molto ambizioso, lo abbiamo contattato per saperne di più. Il progetto porta il nome criptico di LA SERPE. Per adesso è un website fotografico, ma promette di essere moooooooolto di più. Sentiamo cosa ci ha detto Marzok:

La Serpe è un Collettivo. Da chi è formato?
La Serpe è la necessità di fare gruppo, di fare squadra e mettere assieme diversi stili, diverse teste, diversi modi di intendere e proporre immagini.
La necessità in comune è il fatto che ognuno di noi non può fare a meno di fare foto, non può fare a meno di essere ossessionato dalla propria visione riguardo la fotografia.
Tutto è nato per cercare di fare qualcosa di diverso, di dare corpo all'esigenza di mostrare le nostre immagini in giro e ci è sembrato interessante creare un collettivo, che cercasse attraverso la fanzine un canale per uscire dalla noia delle cose che vengono solitamente proposte, cose viste e riviste.
La fanzine ha una identità a sè. E' il prodotto del collettivo.
Cerchiamo uno spazio che sia nostro in cui dare corpo alle energie che ci muovono in questo senso, e la fanzine è il mezzo più diretto, più interessante per farlo in maniera genuina e istintiva, in maniera diretta e onesta, totalmente personale.

Toglimi una curiosità, perché il nome La Serpe?
Io rimango sempre legato a tutto un background culturale che si rifà alle vecchie fanze hc/punk, allo skate, e inevitabilmente ne sono influenzato, si tratta di certo di un'iconografia che mi ha segnato. L'idea poi che il veleno de la serpe sia la fanzine mi garba assai! Spargeremo veleno!

Quali progetti avete in cantiere?
Trattandosi di un collettivo ci piacerebbe fare una fanzine che di volta in volta mostri lavori comuni, oltre alla semplice proposta di immagini, ma non aggiungo altro: vorrei fosse una sorpresa ;)

As you already know, we like to discover new brands to submit to your attention. So, when we received the look book from IT'S OUR THING we were really happy and we wanted to share their amazing stuff with you.
IT'S OUR THING is a Tokyo-based tshirt's brand, created and designed by PMKFA, a designer that used to work for brands such as WESC, DC Shoes, Uniqlo, Diesel, Honda/Scion, Wax Poetics, Ubiquity records and many more. We find that their graphics are fresh and their attention for details (in particular for the printing and packaging) is praiseworthy. Very well done.

The first ever UK solo show of American, billboard hi-jacking, political activist, pop surrealist RON ENGLISH.

What makes a Ron English piece of art instantly recognisable beyond its signature photorealist technique and brazen colour scheme is the utterly unique way in which the artwork presents a new idea embedded in the familiar, creating progressive mutations whilst referring to historical events. When English was an art student he started to hijack billboards as a way of displaying his art to as many people as possible – it was later that he realised he could make political statements by the same means. He replaced existing advertisements with his own hand-painted "subvertisements" spreading his own socio-political message. The new exhibition, with its deliberately provocative theme of resurrection, reflects the contemporary socio-political situation, presenting uncomfortable and dark insights beneath the slick, plastic face of our society.

Included in this exhibition, are some of Ron English's latest canvases from a series of paintings based on the 1937 Picasso masterpiece 'GUERNICA' Whilst the original depicted the tragedy of the Spanish Civil war, English has transcribed the composition to reflect our troubled times.

We think this exhibition deserves a view!! So save the dates...
