The goal, according to the band, was to make the music available in all forms at once: vinyl, cd, and digital. However, fate was not on their side and itunes accidentally put the album up for sale 3 days before the planned date of March 25th.<br />The album stands strong though as an excellent second effort from a supergroup where the expectations may have been for a weaker record. Consoler of the Lonely takes you for a ride through the backwoods of Tennessee on a runaway horse cart with Jack White and co. at the reigns.
