Replace the battery !Moving a pet to an EU country requires microchip identification. Yesterday, Wednesday, 13 February 2008, we inserted a ResQ microchip into "Henry" .. a toy poodle, scheduled to fly to Paris, France in May of this year with his family as accompanied cabin baggage.

After successful insertion under the skin in the mid-scapular area .. we scanned the pet to verify the chip ... and, lo and behold .. no evidence of the chip on the ResQ i MAX Black Label Reader --- a reader/scanner manufactred by Bayer.

Fortunately, we had an additional i MAX Black Label reader by DATA MARS SA .. and, yes .. the inserted chip was immediately read and observed.

Summary: if the scanning of a dog or cat for a microchip is not immediately evident ... replace the battery in the reader and try again.airanimalhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15891760500477140141noreply@blogger.com
