Like all palms, there is a need for both male and female for the fruit to cross pollinate and create fertile seeds. I doubt that I will be able to do the same here unless I artificially cross pollinate.<div style='clear:both; text-align:LEFT'><a href='http://picasa.google.com/blogger/' target='ext'><img src='http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif' alt='Posted by Picasa' style='border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: initial; -moz-background-origin: initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: initial;' align='middle' border='0' /></a></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/26205667-6157054954723207540?l=mygarden-lexcen.blogspot.com'/></div>Lexcenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17856993035719777231drakis@optusnet.com.au0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26205667.post-10111275865313972852008-10-11T17:23:00.002+11:002008-10-11T17:29:50.942+11:00Succulent Aloe Plicatilis<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_1RctYwPH0lg/SPBGcxnEgPI/AAAAAAAAEmw/5x-pY4rjOIM/s1600-h/PA110003.JPG"><img style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; clear: both; float: left;" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_1RctYwPH0lg/SPBGcxnEgPI/AAAAAAAAEmw/5x-pY4rjOIM/s400/PA110003.JPG" border="0" /></a> First sight of the Aloe Plicatilis flower.<br />This is a native of South Africa and develops a smooth trunk as the plant matures.<br /><div style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><a href="http://picasa.google.com/blogger/" target="ext"><img src="http://photos1.blogger.com/pbp.gif" alt="Posted by Picasa" style="border: 0px none ; padding: 0px; background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 50%; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial;" align="middle" border="0" /></a></div><div class="blogger-post-footer"><img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/26205667-1011127586531397285?l=mygarden-lexcen.blogspot.com'/></div>Lexcenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17856993035719777231drakis@optusnet.com.au0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-26205667.post-40632367847188104572008-08-05T16:01:00.000+10:002008-08-05T16:02:10.628+10:00Oranges<a href="http://bp0.blogger.com/_1RctYwPH0lg/SJfs4hRNcCI/AAAAAAAADR0/_P74bAPOwDQ/s1600-h/05082008008.jpg"><img style="CLEAR: both; FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px" alt="" src="http://bp0.blogger.com/_1RctYwPH0lg/SJfs4hRNcCI/AAAAAAAADR0/_P74bAPOwDQ/s400/05082008008.jpg" border="0" /></a> It's been a long time since the orange tree had this much fruit.<br />Credit should go to the cow poo used as fertilizer.
