I was in the car with Katy and the Current was playing "Shine on You Crazy Diamond," and I was all, "Huh, that's strange. The Current never plays Pink Floyd," and Katy was like, "Dude, didn't you hear? One of the band members died today." I had to stay in the car and finish listening to the rest of the song in tribute even though we had long since arrived at our destination. Syd Barrett has always been in my life and now that he's gone it's like he was never there. His music lives on to carry on the thoughts and feelings he couldn't express any other way.
