I am an odd "bird" who happens to love chickens. I know they're dumb and dirty; I just can't help it. I had a small flock in my backyard a few years ago. they were specialty chickens, Japanese silkies, so adorable. We had a couple of regulars, too. I never got over the whole deal of how hens manufacture an egg that size in 24 hours and just push it on out. When they died, I was sad. I'm sad about yours, too.
