uh ya, that's what it worked out to(maybe a couple minutes longer)thanks to Mother Nature...(now for a longish recap for one of my shortest times on a bike)Naom's, the dogs and I managed to get out of town around 6:45pm on Friday....kinda late considering a 7(ish)hr drive(not including border crossing/gas) and considering one of the 2 of us was going to be on their bike racing in roughly16hrs...

The best DH ski day I've experienced(so far) was today...over 2ft fell at Castle over the last 36 hrs...sadly Naomi is in btwn night shifts and had to play adult and sleep....it also meant the first real maiden voyage(to the ski hill, minus the trip to Fernie to hang out on Wed) for our new(to us)VW Golf...of note: winter tires are now high on our list of todo's for this car, the Pirelli P6's did

it took about 2 months to realize the our Xterra was more vehicle than we need now that our Westy is at about 90% road trip worthy...so after sorting out whether we wanted to trade it 4 a Subee & awd or a 2wd and sick fuel range...we ended up deciding on an '05 Golf GLS TDi...looks pretty boring sans roofrack, but not for long...bummer that we're both sick....again...'gotta get used to the

so the Westy is at the shoppe currently getting it's fuel lines updated and brakes redone, we were hoping to have it back today, but alas, snags were caught and Monday is the new due date...boourns...out on my road bike today, pretty much shorts and jersey weather here, that's sweet.4 days off of work beginning at 5:30pm tomorrow...sweeter.

'Snowed a couple inches this am....which hopefully means Castle and Fernie got dumped on...fingers crossed..Going to try and get a decent ride in today. Since getting back from MB last week, Naomi and I have both been quite sick, and so, have been laying low. Hopefully that's it for this winter, as the timing of our sicki-sickness kind of fell into taking time off...rebuilding for next years
