The good thing about ebooks are that there selling like crazy. Below I will list some invaluable tips on how to choose and write a ebook.

Choosing a Niche -Choose a good interesting topic where you have lots of knowledge about, also choose a niche thats in demand because theres no point writing a ebook if it wont sell and worst of all if there is no demand of that niche you've chosen. Before writing a ebook visit websites or blogs to try gathering information about the niche. Take your time researching and writing your ebook. Dont get impatient and give up because it will take months of hard work to make a successful ebook.

Helpful information -When writing a ebook try making the ebook as helpful as possible. Try to give people who will buy the book as much information as possible. When giving them lots of helpful information, give them a few handful of tips and tricks as well. Also try to give the buyers information that other ebooks haven't told them. The buyers will appreciate you and remember your name so that if you write a new ebook they will want to have it as fast as possible because they know you wrote a good book. This is called building your reputation.

Naming your ebook -Naming your ebook will be a important factor on how well your ebook will sell and on how much interest your ebook will get. If you have a attractive, catchy name for your ebook you will get more interest and people will be wanting to read it.

So lets say you've made a ebook about making money online. If you name your ebook make money online I personally wont get attracted to the ebook, Because there are loads of other ebooks called make money online and the name is to ordinary. But if you name your ebook tips, tricks, secrets, revealed on how to make money online. It will personally get my interest to the ebook. Anyway you know what I'm trying to say.

Testing your Ebook -Once you've finished your ebook and are satisfied read your ebook from start to end and see if it contains good and inspiring information. If your really satisfied and think you've written a good ebook give a example of your ebook to your friends or family to read. After they've read it ask what they think about the ebook and ask them if they think you can improve any think about the ebook. This way you can see what other people think about your ebook and you can try to improve it if needed.

Deciding the price -After publishing your ebook you will obviously be shouting of joy. But you should be thinking about the next step and that next step is the price of that ebook. What I would do if I published a ebook is put the price low that every one would be amazed, stunned that the ebook is so cheap. This will be a advantage because they will be happy that they've bought a cheap ebook and will tell this to other people to buy it because it's so cheap. After all the hype is growing and everyone knows about your book try raising the price of your ebook by 2 or 3 dollar's. People will maybe think ...huh...the ebook has become more expensive, but after all they'll say to themselves 2 or 3 dollar's is nothing and they'll just buy the ebook.

Selling your ebook -After publishing your ebook you need to sell the ebooks. You will need a marketing strategy on how to promote and sell your ebooks. There are so many ways on how you can sell your ebooks. You've got Clickbank, Adwords, and other ways of promoting your ebook. If you want to make the most out of selling your ebook you can always make your own affiliate system or website. So what you could do is make your own banners or links and place them on Clickbank so websites will be able to promote your ebook and place your banners or links on there website. And every time someone buys your ebook through someone else's site the person who sells the ebook will earn commission on the sale. This is a great way of making other people sell it for you.

Another way of making money is by using affiliate program's, but to be a success in this you will need to know how to fully make good use of these programs. All you need is a good website with lots of unique content, and visitors that often visit your website regularly, after you've succeeded this goal you will automatically notice that more people will start to visit your web site or blog and that your site will be ranked higher in search engines, also you will notice that your earnings will be higher if you use AdSense, because the more traffic you have the more people you will have that will click your AdSense ads.

If you have built a new website or blog that's got lots of unique content and useful information don't expect it to be a success straight away, your website will need time, it can take a few days,a few weeks, or even a few months before it starts to rank on search engines to show its true colours. So always be patient with your website or blog and just wait and see what happens. This problem is most people's downfall because they have no patient and can't wait and want there website to be a hit in a instance. That's why people just eventually give up and fail to make online money with there website or blog.

If you have just finished building your first online site it is recommended to only use AdSense as an income and to just focus on this. After your doing well in this Affiliate try to add some other resources of income like Click bank or Commission Junction or other affiliate program's. Also try to do a lot of research how to make most of affiliate programs.

So what I'm trying to say is that there are many ways on the Internet to be a success and to make online money with your website. Most people achieve this by using AdSense or other affiliates.

Does your blog load slowly? Many bloggers don't have a clue on this. They assume everyone is seeing their blog at the same speed they are. If it is your personal blog, it may be a big deal to you. If you are trying to run a business, or offer people important information, this can be very important. If your front page takes a great deal of time to load into a browser, then you may want to do a little redesigning to increase the number of visitors that decide to stay at your site.

First, remember that not everyone has a T1, cable modem, or ISDN connection to the internet. In fact, there are still a large number of surfers with modems less than 56K. So, as web designers we must see to it that our sites load as quickly as possible without losing anything important.

Let's start with the obvious bandwidth hogs: images and other media. My suggestion here is to take out every form of multimedia embedded in you front page except for images. Sure, a background song can be nice, but these sound files can take up a great deal of bandwidth, especially if the sound is a .wav file. (I made a 30 second .wav on my computer- It came out around 140K). Videos can be even more taxing, (1 MB or more at times) and should probably be avoided unless absolutely necessary. As a surfer, if I have to wait more than 10 seconds for something like this to load, I'm tempted to hit "Stop" or "Back". So if you use these, keep the file sizes small (Probably 30-40K or less would be OK). Better yet, save them for a later page.

Your images will be your next big worry. These can also get quite large, so caution is necessary when dealing with images. For starters, do not make an image any larger than you need it to be for the effect you desire. If you have an image that is 600 pixels x 600 pixels, your page could take forever to load. One of the easiest ways to reduce the file size of your image is to simply give the image smaller dimensions. Go to your image editing program, and resize or resample your image to make it smaller. You can also compress your images using special services on the web which reduce the file size of images for you, and let you choose the images that still look good once they are compressed.

After you have the images as compact as you can make them, you can save loading time on other pages by using one or more of the images from the front page on other pages. The image you loaded for the viewer on the front page will be in the browser's cache, and will load instantly when it is called on your other pages! This will allow you to load other things you may need without needing to worry about the image again.

Another trick you can use is to define the width and height in all of your image tags. This way, the browser knows how much space the image will use on the page, and will not have to adjust everything once the image starts loading. It will save a little time, and will also keep the page from jumping when an image loads.

Finally, be sure your front page is as short as possible as well. A longer page can take a long time to load, even if it is all text. Put extra information on another page and use a link for people to go view it. You will save a little extra time, and maybe reduce clutter a little bit.

Bloggers may notice that their junk email has gone up about 100% once their blog gets popular. The reason, of course, is that your email address appears on the site and can be easily "mined" by spambots. Spambots search the net for email addresses that can be collected and sold to spammers. A good, valid list of email addresses can be worth a fortune.

Some sites make an attempt around the spambots by listing their email address as something like "Joe-at-aol.com" and invite you to change the "-at-" to "@" when you send email to the site. The trouble with that technique is the spambots learned all these sorts of tricks years ago. It is the easiest thing in the world to write a script that searches for email addresses and also phrases like "-at-" or "-dot-" or several other combinations and then automatically converts to the correct address. So, the technique is essentially worthless and it makes it difficult for a legitimate user to respond.

The answer to this? Easy. There are plenty of Java scripts available that encrypt your email address and then decrypt for the user's browser. The whole thing is transparent to the user and makes the email address completely invisible to the spambots. If you look at an email address that is encrypted, it looks normal. If you hover your cursor over it, it even displays the actual email address. But if you look at the HTML code through a spider's eyes, this is what you see:

Good luck trying to put that together.

How hard is it to accomplish this? It takes about thirty seconds thanks to Email Riddler. This is an online tool from one of my favorite sites, DynamicDrive (http://www.dynamicdrive.com/emailriddler/). You simply enter your email address in a box and it returns the Javascript with your email address encrypted for you. You then simply cut and paste over your existing email HTML code. In a typical situation, you would look for your existing code: "a href="mailto:joe-at-aol.com" and replace it with the code the Email Riddler creates for you.

This tutorial reviews how to create a blog using Movable Type (MT) and is based on a DigitalEveJapan workshop I taught on March 15, 2003. A kind of "blogging for dummies," it is aimed at the beginner and assumes little knowledge of website design/building. However, programmers and other web gurus unfamiliar with blogging may find it useful.

Note, this tutorial does NOT offer easy Movable Type installation instructions. If you are not comfortable installing and configuring a Perl script on a web server, I suggest you sign up for MT's paid installation ($40 payable via PayPal) or find a script-savvy friend or family member to install the software for you.

ABOUT MOVABLE TYPE

Movable Type is a "decentralized web-based personal publishing system designed to ease maintenance of regularly-updated content."
