A holiday in Jesolo is just perfect for anyone looking for fun in a popular resort, with a wide range of both entertainment and wellbeing activities. The 15 km long beach provides excellent sport activities but is also great for relaxing, and there's so much to do with organised games all along the seashore. Following a hot day, what better than to cool off in one of the many clubs or restaurants lining the coast and sea front, spending happy hours in good company.

The little ones can enjoy themselves at the funfair or in one of the many theme parks around. The "Giro d'Italia" Goes Through Jesolo

If you're thinking about making a booking in Jesolo, Sunday May 10th 2009 the city will host the start of the second stage of the 92nd "Giro d'Italia". The teams invited to attend and compete for victory will be 21, with 198 cyclists. The event begin in "Piazza Mazzini" and go all the way along "Via Bafile", "Piazza Brescia", "Via Aquileia", "Piazza Drago" and "Via Mameli" up to the first intersection of "Via Roma Destra", here the stage will kick off at 1.35 pm. The 156 km long route will take the participants to Trieste. 80 vehicles will head the athletes; it's the "Carovana Rosa" - a promotional programme that ensures fun and entertainment. The possibility of joining the "Giro Club" will allow many to closely follow the exciting event. Jesolo traders will join the initiative by adhering to the "Vetrine in Rosa" agreement, open to shops that will dress shop windows in theme with the "Giro". These should be prepared by May 3rd and held that way through to May 10th.

80 Festival Turns On the Night of Halloween in Jesolo

Friday October 31 is celebrated the night of Halloween, a traditional event also in Italy by now, and fun in Jesolo is assured thanks to an interesting event: the Palazzo del Turismo will host "80 Festival" an night of music with unforgettable successes of the '70s and '80s.

Starting from 09.30 pm, you can relive the magical atmosphere of those years, dancing and singing together with major Italian and international artists. On stage will perform live some icons of '80s music (as Samantha Fox, the Righeira, Den Harrow, Richard Sanderson, Tullio De Piscopo and many others) who will interpret the songs that made them famous and marked an era.

Saturday, September 27, the calendar of events in Jesolo proposes the concert of Alberto Fortis, the famous Italian singer that is author of numerous hits especially in the eighties (as Settembre and Neve).

Away from the Italian stages for a long time, during which he has lived in the United States, now is back in the limelight thanks to the appearance in recent years in popular TV shows (Music Farm in 2006). The live performances are the standing out points of the career of Alberto Fortis, which has always given his listeners moments of great intensity. Sunday, August 24, beginning at 16:00, the sky of Jesolo will be the theatre for the air showof Frecce Tricolori, the acrobatic patrol that even this year, according to tradition, promises to involve aviation fans and tourists on holiday in Jesolo.

The event Jesolo Air Extreme will take place in flight zone situated in front of the stretch of Jesolo beach ranging from Piazza Manzoni and Piazza Marina and will count on the presence, as well as Frecce Tricolori, even of the helicopter HH3F used by italian Air Force for search and rescue operations and other civilians acrobatics patrols as the Pioneer Team and the Brietling Team.

Duran Duran in Concert in Jesolo

For the traditional event "Spritz on the Beach", Sunday, July 20 at 21.00, the beach of Jesolo, near the zone of the lighthouse, will host the concert of Duran Duran: the historic English band (composed by Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes , John Taylor and Roger Taylor) that has sold over 70 million discs worldwide and received numerous awards during a long career.

From Thursday 22 to Sunday, May 25, 2008, Palazzo del Turismo of Jesolo will host the National Final for Chess Team, an event that is included in the programme of the Student Sports Games. Organized by the Italian Chess Federation, under the patronage of the Municipality of Jesolo and the collaboration of various agencies at both provincial and regional levels, the event will offer an opportunity to admire the young promises of this discipline characterized by skill and strategy, among the most complex, deep and absolutely fascinating of all time.

The final phase will engage representatives (male and female) of those schools who have qualified during regional play off held last April. Just another one among the endless opportunities for fun in Jesolo.

Equilium 2008 in Jesolo

The month of April in Jesolo is devoted to horse-riding, with a three weekends event where the horsemanship art is the real protagonist: "Equilium 2008". As confirmation of the strong link between sport and Jesolo, here is an event that is becoming a tradition and this year includes the gathering of riders and Spring Riding (12-13 / 04), the International Equestrian Competition CISO (18 - 20 / 04) with more than 300 horses participants, the National Competition Riding A (25-27 / 04) also open to younger riders both Italians and coming from abroad.

There is also a day (date yet to be defined) dedicated to children: Giocacavallo, with pony shows, exhibition of caleches and various entertainments, all with free entrance.
