Kevin Martin thinks that they should wait until the end of the season to change the ball. I totally agree with him. One reason is: The players are not used to this ball since it hasn't been in play since last year. Changing it in the offseason will give the players a chance to get comfortable with it. The second reson is: Kevin Martin has been shooting great with this ball! Why change it!? It will be interesting to see how he does toninght with the old (now new) ball.#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-62012234016116788772006-12-26T13:32:00.000-08:002006-12-26T13:33:33.397-08:00Hope everyone had a great Christmas!!I know it is late, but I'm wishing everyone a very merry Christmas!#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-10502650086510295792006-12-21T22:33:00.000-08:002006-12-21T22:38:51.190-08:00Kings to make a trade? As everyone can see, the Kings are not playing well. They are 10-14 and have yet to find out which style of basketball they can play best. They also have a lack of athleticism on their team. This is why they have a tough time competing with the most athletic teams in the NBA. Could this be the start of trade talks for the Kings? They definitely need to get someone or have someone step up that can bring it consistently every night. Do you think the Kings will make a trade? If so, who?#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-90499406413461956172006-12-21T22:19:00.000-08:002006-12-21T22:33:43.047-08:00Sacramento Kings blow another, fall to 10-14Yet again, the Kings lose. They started out great. Probably the best they had all season. Kevin Martin looked his best, Brad Miller was knocking down the jumper that we grew used to seeing a few years ago, and Bibby was dishing out assists. That was in the first half at least. The Kings led 59-53 at the half with all momentum on their side. It was all downhill from their. The Wizards came out of the locker room as hot as a flame. They were knocking down everything, everytime they saw the basket. At the start of the fourth, the Kings made a run, cutting the lead from 14 to 6. That didn't last long though. The Wizards continually made baskets bumping the lead back up to 14. By the end of the game the Kings were able to make it a 7 point game with a final score of 126-119. The Wizards big 3: Antwain Jamison, Gilbert Arenas, and Caron Butler were just to much for the Kings. The Kings seem to always have trouble against the more athletic teams. One of the Sacramento Kings only bright spots throughout the game was Kevin Martin. He scored 40 points! That gets washed out though with another tough loss for the Kings. The Kings have not yet found an identity for their team. One half, they'll come out looking like the Suns. Another they will look like a bunch of inexperienced players barfing up shots. They better find their identity soon or it will be a long, painful season for them.#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-6442108620947702702006-12-13T20:39:00.000-08:002006-12-13T20:40:49.017-08:00Iverson is not coming to SacramentoAccording to the Sacramento Bee, Iverson is not coming to Sacramento. There were trade talks going on, but it never worked out. I'm glad he's not coming to Sacramento. Let me your thoughts on this topic.#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-1172079166582364222006-12-10T09:24:00.000-08:002006-12-10T09:33:35.145-08:00Could Allen Iverson be coming to Sacramento? If you haven't heard already, the 76ers are going to trade Allen Iverson. The only question is, What team? There are some rumors out there that he could be coming to the Kings for Brad Miller and Mike Bibby. This is highly unlikely though, in my opinion. Let me know what you think about this.#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-79216508161568932912006-12-07T14:59:00.000-08:002006-12-07T15:06:25.124-08:00King's Maurice Taylor is suspended for drug use<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://bp1.blogger.com/_60TIitFnVfE/RXieaLKnTvI/AAAAAAAAAAM/1WNllAzjHUg/s320/3184.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5005925158333402866" />
This is Taylor's 3rd violation of the NBA drug policy. That just seems stupid. Wouldn't it be enough if you got caught once? I guess not for Taylor. 3 times is unbeliveable. Another amazing fact is that he is only going to be suspended for 5 games! That is way too easy on the drug users. The good thing is, Taylor is not a big part of the Kings. Let me correct myself, he is NOT part of the Kings. He almost never plays and never contributes. I wouldn't be surprised if the Kings cut him. The Kings do not want any drug-users on their team. Let me know your opinions.#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-29277477690451241952006-12-06T06:58:00.000-08:002006-12-06T07:07:45.064-08:00Kings lose 4th straight with loss to Suns. What a tough schedule for the Kings. These are their last 4 games in order: Mavericks, Spurs, Magic, and Suns. Mabye the 4 best teams in the NBA. Even though those teams are top of the line, the Kings just aren't looking very competitive out there. They lost last nights game against the Suns 127-102. They are just playing horrible defense. Mike Bibby couldn't get back on defense to stop the Suns fast break and Brad Miller got eaten up down in the paint. Nobody really looked good this game except Jason Hart. He came of the bench and played good defense and scored a few points. He really energized the team. That's why I really didn't understand why he was on the bench almost the whole 3rd quarter. Part of the difficulties were experienced because Artest was not in the lineup again. His back is still bothering him. They need him back for some defensive help. It is safe to say that the Kings are strugling and they need some help, otherwise this might be a long year for them. Please let me know any questions or comments you have.#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-78943073891467431282006-12-02T20:32:00.000-08:002006-12-02T20:43:11.277-08:00Kings lose a thriller against the SpursThe Kings lose again. It seems like they go on big winning streaks and then go on big losing streaks. They definitely need to become more consistent to compete for a good playoff spot. This game wasn't all negative though. The Kings were down by 17 in the 3rd quarter. They came back to take the lead with about 1:30 left in the 4th. It looked like they were going to pull off the upset. It didn't happen that way though. The Kings found themselves down 7 just a few seconds later. It looked like the game was over. It didn't end their though. The Kings made a late run. Kevin Martin made clutch free throws and baskets to lead their comeback. The Kings also had some help from the Spurs with all their missed free-throws late in the game. The Kings were then down be 2 with 4 seconds left. Mike Bibby threw up a prayer from halfcourt and it didn't even come close. The final score was 100-98. Yes, it is tough to lose such a close game, but on the bright side, the Spurs are one of the best teams in the NBA. Kevin Martin got his shot back and scored 30 points. On the downside, a loss is a loss and it is no different if you lose by 50 or 1. All the Kings can do is get prepared for another great team in the Magic on Monday.#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-23005606458392942622006-12-02T17:53:00.000-08:002006-12-02T17:57:15.679-08:00Ron Artest wants more touchesOhhh no. Hopefully this isn't a bad sign. Ron Artest was not happy with how many touches he had against the Mavericks on Friday night. Hopefully he can stay focused like he always has with the Kings. This isn't a major deal, but it could definitley be the start of one. Something tells me everything will be alright though. The Kings coaching staff is top of the line and will not put up with complainers. Stay tuned and I will let you know what happens.#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-22862439486595853552006-12-02T12:49:00.000-08:002006-12-02T12:54:13.494-08:00Kings lose to red hot MavericksThe Kings never lead in this game. They just played horrible defense. It seems like they can easily knock off the bad teams, but the Kings get killed by the best teams. In my opinion, this makes them jus and OK team. They have potential, don't get me wrong, but they must step up their game if they want to compete the rest of this season for a playoff spot. Sorry for the lack of information on this game. It was so bad that I turned it off by halftime. Tonight the Kings play the Spurs. Hopefully they can make up for their bad loss with a win here. Let me know any comments or questions you have.#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-79555674001350566582006-11-29T20:51:00.000-08:002006-11-29T21:17:41.652-08:00Make sure to vote for your Sacramento Kings for the All-Star Game!!Make sure to vote on NBA.com. If you want to be a true Sacramento Kings fan, you have to vote for your favorite Kings players. Make sure to vote for Kevin Martin. Surprisingly, he is not even on the ballot. He is on the right in vote. Make sure you don't just vote once either. You can vote every 24 hours!! Make voting for your favorite Sacramento Kings players your #1 priority!!#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-9003669634887752482006-11-28T21:28:00.000-08:002006-11-28T21:36:10.974-08:00Kings win again!! They are now 8-5Another great geame for the Kings. With the win, they are now 8-5. For the first time this year kevin Martin had an off game. He had only 2 points! Isn't that hard to believe!! Ron Artest and Mike Bibby made up for his lack of contribution though. Artest had 28 points and 8 rebounds. Bibby had 19 points 10 assists and 7 rebounds. Brad Miller even contibuted this game wiht 12 points and 8 rebounds. He is looking great. He has his shot back and he is setting great picks to free up Bibby and other outside shooters. It will be interesting to see how Kevin Martin rebounds next game. This will be a real test to his menal toughness and if he can overcome a bad game. His expectations will be high and we will see how he handles the pressure. The Sacramento King's next game is Friday against the Mavericks. This will be a VERY tough game. The Mavs are on a 10 game winning streak. We will see how they play. For now though, the Kings will celebrate another victory!#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-56980592440298029592006-11-25T21:45:00.000-08:002006-11-25T21:55:59.151-08:00Kings go to 7-5 with the win over the BlazersThe Kings played another great game. They were very streaky, but they came out well on top. The final score was 105-85. Brad Miller came back in this game and played a few minutes. He didn't look great, but he was decent in his return from injuries. He hustled and scrapped for rebounds unlike he usually does. Kevin Martin had another great game with 27 points. The Sacramento Kings would be nowhere with out him. Ron Artest also came back in this game. He wasn't great either, but it is great to see him come back. The Kings flowed on offense and played good defense. That was why they came out on top by 20. The next game is on November 28 against the Clippers.#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-91415687221437032702006-11-25T17:57:00.000-08:002006-11-25T18:02:15.629-08:00Ronnie Price DUNK!!

What a dunk! The final score was 109-100. How about Kevin Martin! He scored 35 points! For those of you saying that all he can do is score, think again! He played great defense and had 4 rebounds and 3 assists. If this guy doesn't make the allstar game, I will be disappointed. He deserves it as much as any star player. The beginning of the game was up and down with no defense. The Kings were then able to slow the Sonics down and pull away for the easy victory. The major suprise was Ray Allen. He only scored 18 points in 6-22 shooting. The Kings looked insync this game. They just aren't consistent yet, but that will come with time. Hopefully they can pull off another win tomorrow night against Portland! Please post any questions or comments you have. They were leading by 21 at the half and everything was going their way. They were owning the Jazz on offense and defense. I was starting to wonder, "How can the Jazz be 10-1?". Well, they answered that qusetion in a hurry. The Jazz ended up scoring 73 points in the 2nd half. They proved exactly why they are now 11-1. Deron Williams had yet another excellent game with 20 points, 13 assists, and 7 rebounds. Boozer added on with 32 points and 13 rebounds. For the Kings, Kevin Martin had another great performance with 24 points and 8 rebounds. Ronnie Price slammed down the most amazing dunk I had ever seen. That was one of the few bright spots of the second half. It will be more than very tough for the Kings to get over this loss. The best they can do though, is just study game film and do whatever they did in the first half. Even with all of the negatives though, the Kings did bring their A game in the first half against the best team in the NBA. As I said, it will be tough to get over this one, but they will have to at some point. Instead of considering this a bad loss, I look at it as a learning curve. The Kings could have some bright days ahead. Please post comments with any opinions or questions you might have.#1KingsFanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10093490438023852380noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-257278111316687211.post-13893063592843074182006-11-21T19:51:00.000-08:002006-11-21T20:21:41.277-08:00How about Kevin Martin!!

Kevin Martin is having a breakout year. He's averaging 23.7 ppg and 5.1 reb per game. On top of that, he is just getting better!! It's just a matter of time before he is among the very best shooters in the league. When I first saw him come into the league, I had no idea he could be this good. He was too skinny and his shot is very abnormal. I was wrong though. Even with his wierd shot, he is able to get it up quickly enough to get it in the hoop. How about his athletic ability also! He can jump as high as anyone in the league. His only downside is how skinny he is. He is putting on some muscle and he will bulk up with age. This guy is going to be the complete package!!
