I strongly considered leaving too, during my sophomore year when I was failing 3 of my 5 classes. Not leaving was the best decision I ever made. Your self-esteem will take a beating while you're there, but there is nothing like the feeling you'll have on your graduation day. I promise.

For what it's worth, cs1 is generally way overunited--some sort of departmental karma for cs11 (which, by the way, really isn't supposed to take only 3 hours/week; that's just so you can take it for credit 3 times. Grr.)

well i'm still here for you, robert, and i speak for all of us in Rapid when i say COME HOME occasionally (for God's sake, i went to ultimate a few days ago and there were only 3 people!! it was pathetic.) i don't have much advice worth dispensing, but i must again turn to the guileless words of scotty nelson: if it feels good do it. it's as simple as that. all you can do is make the best possible decision given the amount of information and capabilities you have at this particular moment in time. everything will be alright.

call me up sometime. and if you you're willing to disclose your rubik's secrets, that would be more than welcome. :)

You're super ambitious dude. You actually follow your interests- which is pretty cool. I need to take that mathematica class, but don't have any room for it. Right now I'm planning to take 55 units.. bah.
