Police investigate Hounslow UFOs

Police have attempted to quash reports of widespread UFO sightings among baffled residents from Bedfont to Twickenham by insisting the mysterious lights were just entertainment at a party.

Since our initial article last week, describing the three strange lights spotted by Bedfont gran Lynne Martin, calls have flooded into the Chronicle office from all over the borough and beyond, with one teen bringing us video footage of a previous identical sighting - click here to watch it.

Dozens of callers claim to have seen the mysterious lights hovering in the night sky on Sunday, July 6, and they all insist there were no beams linking them to the ground.

Gulsheen Kaur, of Jersey Road, Hounslow, said: "My husband and I didn't think anything of it at first we just assumed it was a spotlight. But later we realised there had been no beam and we got scared."

And over in Twickenham 68-year-old Lesley Butler insisted: "They looked like balloons, with no middle darting about. They definitely weren't laser lights, or aircraft and there was no beam."

After receiving a number of calls from bewildered members of the public Met Police decided to investigate.

A spokeswoman said: "Members of the public called police from approximately 11pm to reports of numerous lights in the sky in the west London area of the city. Police tracked the lights to a birthday celebration in the Bedfont area."

But these claims are unlikely to deter hardcore UFO enthusiasts who are convinced that what they saw was not of
this earth.

Susan Ward, 47, of Sandalwood Road, Feltham, said: "I don't care what they say. I've seen searchlights and I know this wasn't coming from the ground."

Latest UFO Sightings For July 7, 2008

California-06-14-08-My daughter was sitting at the computer. Our front door was open due to the warm weather. She looked out the doorway and noticed something falling from the sky. At first she thought it was a shooting star, but it lasted far too long. She then said, "Do you see that?" and pointed at the sky through the door.

My husband then looked and saw the object. His comment was that it looked like the moon was falling. My daughter said it first flashed green lights, then glowed red, like a meteor entering the atmosphere. Then it smoked, glowed green again, then fire balled. It finally dropped down between two trees to the northwest of our house. The object was so large that she expected to hear or feel a large boom when it actually landed, but we didn't hear or feel anything.

Did anyone else report this sighting? We do live to the southeast of Camp Pendleton, but have never seen anything like this. source: www.mufon.com

Delaware-06-19-08-I woke up at 2 o'clock in the morning, then I saw two lights on the sky. I first realize the two lights as helicopters, but when I looked at them a few moments, I couldn't exactly define it as human objects. Later, I tried to identify which object they could be. When I looked at them closer, they blinked in an evenly way.

I wanted to record the objects with a camera, but at first I didn't know exactly, if they were UFOs. In the end it was too late. They flew away and left a bright gleaming veil on the sky. Illinois-06-07-08-On Saturday, at 9:22 PM, I saw a huge, white orb brighter than the moon, head directly over my house in a southeastern direction. The orb was silent-it moved slowly and smoothly. It was at a pretty high altitude, so the size of this thing was astonishing. I reported the sighting to MUFON and the National UFO Reporting Center. Ever since that night, I watched the same areas of the sky… hoping I would see it again.

I did see it again, AT NIGHT, on June 17, 2008, at 10:15 PM. I saw what I thought was a star just light up so brightly, and move slowly downward. It hovered for a couple of seconds, and I could see the shape of the craft this time. It was definitely triangular. The light that came off lit up the sky all around it, like an electrical charge, and the color of the beam was a very spectacular bright, bluish-white.

After it hovered, it turned and took off at an absolutely incredible rate of speed, and followed a commercial flight that was heading due east. It easily caught up to the flight, and passed it up as if it were standing still. Texas-03-25-08-Wichita Falls-I saw, what appeared to be, two flying saucers around 8:20 PM in the evening. I had just come home and was starting to pet my dogs, through the gate in the backyard... then I noticed a large light in the eastern sky and as I continued to look at it, it starting moving erratically up and down, sideways and around.

Then I knew I was seeing something I had only heard about... then, the light turned into two separate flying vehicles, at first I could only see the "V" shape of lights in the front, which I suppose is where the pilots would sit, but the rest of the UFO was invisible. About that time, I decided it was some kind of secret military air craft, since we have Sheppard AFB here, the second vehicle broke formation, turned to a horizontal position, and turned its lights on. Wisconsin-06-21-08-It was around 1:00 AM. I was on my phone in my driveway when I looked up and saw a object that at first glance appeared to be an aircraft, but after looking for awhile, it was definitely not an airplane of any kind. It was a triangular-shaped object, a little off in the distance, but it still appeared to be huge in size. It made NO sound whatsoever. None. I've never seen anything like it.

The blinking lights (one in front and two bigger ones in back) were incredibly bright, so bright my eyes had to adjust and refocus every time they blinked, and I could follow its progress as it seemed to float away off into the distance for some ten minutes, until the trees blocked it out. It had no red or green lights that an aircraft would have, just three extremely bright white lights. Pluto's Identity Crisis Hits Classrooms

Pluto was once a planet. Then a dwarf planet. And, as of this month, a plutoid.

The fall from grace has teachers, parents and educational publishers struggling to keep up, while kids remain loyal to their favorite, the ninth planet. Underscore "planet."

On June 11, the International Astronomical Union (IAU) announced Pluto should now be called a "plutoid," two years after the organization voted to demote Pluto to "dwarf planet" status.

Meanwhile, many kids are nearly certain Pluto is still a planet.

"I think it's a planet. But me and my friends, we talk about it sometimes and we go back and forth," said Natalie Browning, 9, sitting in a park in Manhattan with her family.

"Right now, I'm not 100 percent. I'm just 75 percent" sure that Pluto is a planet, she added.

On this Day: UFO Sighted in Roswell, N.M.

On July 7, 1947, William Brazel reported seeing a UFO at his New Mexico ranch, sparking widespread public rumors about aliens and a U.S. government cover-up.

William “Mac” Brazel said he stared in awe as a massive, shining object cut through the muggy summer sky above his ranch in Roswell, N.M. He alerted local sheriff George Wilcox, and within hours the Roswell Army Air Field announced that it had come into possession of “a flying saucer.”

The Roswell incident set off a wave of public suspicion about the existence of extraterrestrial life forms.

A 1947 Federal Bureau of Investigation report stated that the alleged flying saucer had in fact been a radar-tracking balloon used by the military. However, the public was not convinced and accused the government of lying to cover up its retrieval of an alien spacecraft.

Area 51, a military base in Nevada, became a hot spot for controversy when people suggested that it was home to secret government operations.

In 1984 a series of false documents, known as the Majestic Twelve papers, began to surface, claiming that the government was involved in a top-secret alien conspiracy.

After a General Accounting Office inquiry in 1995, the Secretary of the Air Force said that the debris found in 1947 was remnants from the U.S. military’s Project Mogul, not pieces of alien spacecraft. The Air Force also explained that supposed “alien bodies” found near Roswell were in fact airmen who died in training accidents.

Although the Roswell incident has been largely dismissed as false, its excitement and mystery have inspired movies and video games.

Indiana-06-03-08-I was on the roof of my house and making a call to my home. When I gave a glance to the sky, suddenly some unusual things were moving together, and a 'chain' of lights (around 40) moving very fast in a floating manner. The light was somewhat like 3 "U" shapes in a slight slanting position.

The size of the light chain was so long that I felt something unusual was happening. A plane cannot be that size and there was no sound. Also, a plane cannot be that kind of shape and it was too fast, anyway. I stopped calling my parents and tried to take photos using my mobile but it came out blank, and nothing is clear. New York-06-14-08-I live in a luxury hi-rise apartment in Midtown, next to the Empire State Building. At around 4:40 AM, I got up while my roommate was going to sleep and went to the rooftop for a cigarette.

At around 4:45 or so, I noticed a dark blimp or oval-shaped vehicle, which I first thought was a blimp, but then realized there was no cabin, no indication of rudders or fans, no markings or logos, and absolutely no lights.

It appeared to move without wobbling or without any influence of the wind direction, but rather in a stable path over or near the East River from about the Union Square East area (14th Street) to the 34th Street area, disappearing from my field of view on the east side of the Empire State Building, then reappearing on the north side. This is where it changed course, and turned east and quickly ascended until it reached the cloud level and disappeared.

Oregon-06-12-08-I was camping on the edge of a seasonal lake bed,(Skookum Lake), last Thursday with a friend. It was the first evening of several days of rock hunting. We had finished a late BBQ dinner 1-2 hours after dark. While I was readying an air mattress and bedding in the open bed of my pickup, my friend was watching the night sky and talking of seeing a couple of shooting stars and seeing what she called jets maneuvering. I recall hearing sounds of jets but really wasn't looking or paying attention.

At one point her voice got a little excited, saying, "Look over there," pointing in a northwesterly direction. By the time I did, I didn't see anything. She simply said it was an odd light. Finally, I saw a single light flash on, I can only describe it as, if you make a circle, cut it in half vertically and exaggerate it a little bigger, like a side view of an old style auto headlamp. I witnessed this once or twice then saw two, one next to each other. These flashed on for aproximately 1-2 seconds. I have spent many, many nights sleeping in the open air in the high desert over the past thirty plus years and have never seen anything I didn't think was probably easily explainable until now. source: www.mufon.com

Pennsylvania-06-12-08-I opened my back door and saw a bright huge light shooting rays upward. I ran and got my boyfriend who was sleeping. We both examined it for a while then I got my camera I took some pictures. The light would not show up, but there are some things you can see. I also took a video.

My boyfriend said that the rays and light just shut off. I wanted to catch it on film, but he said it turned off its light a TV screen. Today, 6/16/08, I went out to the field with my mom, sisters and aunts to see if it left anything and there is a circle of grass lying down in the field. Washington-06-16-08-I was relaxing at the lakefront beach, looking out at the water and the sky, when I saw 3 air force fighter jets chasing a silver, globe-shaped object, over Spanaway Lake, at approximately 4:20 PM this afternoon. It was enough to convince me that I saw something indubitably out of the ordinary-a silver disc almost globe-shaped and roughly, from my viewpoint, the perceived size of a bb at arm's length.

This object was discernibly bisected on the horizontal plane, almost like a silver wedding band placed horizontally around the midsection of a flattened chromed steel ball. Its airspeed was also similar to a passenger jet on approach to an airport. It made no sound I could hear, at least not above the sound of car/boat traffic and wind and the masses of people frolicking at the beach, none of whom seemed to notice what was happening in the sky above them. Chinook Helicopter Pursues A Super Fast UFO

WASHINGTON, USA - A military helicopter was photographed pursuing a super fast UFO in Washington State, America last week.

A High resolution image taken at a speed that freezes the rotor blades of the helicopter could not capture more than a blur of the UFO being pursued.

James Gilliland's ECETI Ranch is the location where UFO enthusiasts gather to watch "lightships" at night and hyper velocity UFOs by day.

Mr Gilliland is often ridiculed by the Billy Meier UFO group ( religion ) which appears to claim exclusive rights to authorized UFO encounters. Mr Gilliland said "These photographs were taken by guests with multiple eyewitnesses just a few of hundreds of photos and 70 hours of footage along with witnesses like triple PhD Boeing Engineers, Air Force Base Commanders, pilots like Pierre and Nigel as well as physicists from all walks of life."

"This group is well known for attacking all other researchers, contactees, crop circle researchers and anyone outside of their camp. There are several total contradictions in their story, the contacts stopped in the late 70's according to his video and his sons testimony at the International UFO Congress and his Contact notes say there are over 7,000 people being contacted by his' "Advanced ETs" which seem to not always tell the truth"

"As Billy Meier being the only contacted and prophet of, "Spirit Form"what they call God I find this totally ridiculous. Considering his history of being in prison, joining the foreign legion to get out, deserting, then bounty hunting, etc it seems God would have made a little better choice."

"His actions and the overwhelming evidence proves to the contrary. Not just the evidence here but around the world. Beware of anyone who says they have exclusive rights and connections to off world visitors and God."

The United States government knows something about the UFOs seen over Washington last week as it is the only entity that owns a black Chinook like the one trying to pursue the UFO.

Is the UFO from earth, space, a black ops budget or another world ?

UK Military Spots UFOs

A SHAKEN soldier told last night how he saw THIRTEEN UFOs spinning in the skies above his military barracks.

Corporal Mark Proctor was among three squaddies who spotted the objects while out on night patrol.

He filmed them on his mobile phone and reported the close encounter to Army top brass.

Ministry of Defence experts were studying his report and video yesterday — after ordering Mark and his pals NOT to say anything else about the incident.

California-06-14-08- Traveling west on the I-10 just north of Palm Springs, I witnessed a very bright bluegreen ball of light which seemed to be just above San Jacinto Mountain which borders Palm Springs. Shortly after, there was a bright white light maybe an impact, I really cannot say.

I continued to travel west on the I-10 West while looking up the San Jacinto Mountain from its northwest side, there seemed to be a plume. I did not notice any clouds in the area, my boyfriend phoned KESQ-News and spoke to someone that confirmed something of the same sighting over the scanner. source: www.mufon.com

Florida-06-14-08-My brother and I when outside to smoke a cigarette when a sudden glare of light appeared in the sky very low to the ground. Then the glare reduced to a small and dimmer light, as we both entered the street and the light became very bright again, and then reduced to a dimmer light once again.

The object slowly started moving in our direction and we started walking towards it so we could get a good look. We kept asking each other, "Is that a UFO?" Once it passed over our heads, we could see all the different lights and though it was close to us, we didn't her any noise like plane engines.

New England-06-14-08-I was outside with my son when he said "Look up there dad!" I was facing east as the object came from a northeasterly direction. There was an elongated object (quite big) moving silently across the sky at the height of the clouds which are pretty low out here in Nebraska. It had no wings and was heading in a southeasterly direction right above Lincoln. It went through or behind a patch of clouds and I didn't see it for a brief time, and especially at the speed it was going I judged that it must have paused for a moment when behind or in the clouds.

Then I saw it again continuing along its original course of travel. It must have been about sixty to eighty feet long and possibly thirty to forty feet wide. There was no contrail or chemtrail behind it. It must have been traveling about 80 to 100 mph. Mostly blue sky with some perfectly white clouds. Rhode Island-06-14-08-I went out to the backyard to have a smoke, and my girlfriend asked me if I could see strange lights on the ground. I thought perhaps it was the solar garden lights so I moved them, then looked up in the sky and the stars were very dim because of cloud cover and one started moving. It moved fast then slow left to right in circles. I got dizzied watching it, but I didn't want to lose sight of it.

West Virginia-05-18-08-I was at work standing at my boss's truck talking with him and the dozer man. I was looking at the darkening sky to see what stars I could see at the time. From the northeast, came a small medium sized orb-like object. It was silently moving over our location.

It changed colors from white to green, and moved erratically at times. The object disappeared after about 5 minutes into the horizon. New Robot Can Replicate Itself

English researchers have developed a robot that can not only create 3-D replicas of objects like shoes and door handles - it also can replicate itself.

Scientists from the University of Bath in England unveiled an open-source machine that acts like a three-dimensional printer. Instead of printing out documents or pictures on paper, this printer uses blueprints to produce 3-D plastic objects.

The machine has been dubbed RepRap, which is short for replicating rapid-prototyper.

The goal is to eventually build a robot that can produce individual processors and circuit boards so people can build their own computers, according to Zack Smith, director of the RepRap Research Foundation.

"It's a printing press for the digital age," Smith told Computerworld. "The goal is to have one on everyone's desk. If it could build circuit boards, someone could design and build their own at home. Open-source electronics is a movement that's really taking hold."

While 3D printers have been commercially available for about 25 years, RepRap is the first that can essentially create its own structural parts, said team member, Vik Olliver, in a written statement.

Smith explained that unlike a regular printer that uses ink, RepRap heats up plastic and then squeezes it out into a line. The lines are built up into usable forms as they solidify. So far, the robot has made everyday plastic objects, like door handles, sandals and coat hooks. The machine has also successfully copied all of its own structural pieces.

For a full replication of all its own parts, Smith said that might be as far away as 20 years down the road. "Being able to replicate a computer chip would take a whole lot of precision," he added. "For me, the exciting part is we're building a tool that can build other things."

UFO Sighting - Decatur, Alabama

Alright, now this one is close to home for me, since Decatur is only about an hour's drive from where I live. So naturally, this one caught my eye right away.

What was it last night around Decatur that had people talking?

Friday night and into today, our newsroom has been flooded with people inquiring about a strange sighting in the western sky.

What did people see?

What we do know is that an object was in the sky that night. What it was is the focus of tonight's WAFF 48 Investigators Report.

"I saw it coming thru the sky back that way and it".

Cody Terry was driving by the Aquadome Recreation Center Friday night in Decatur when he happened to look up in the sky and he notice something strange.

When it was coming through the sky, I really thought it was an airplane that lost control so I came to a complete stop on the road. When I got out and looked at it was no sound coming from it."

No sound, and he says it didn't appear to be an aircraft.

"It speed up to maybe two hundred miles per hour it went straight to the ground and disappeared."

Some people say they saw Med-Flight back here but some people say they saw something else.

Cody says he saw three military helicopters in the air and ambulance on the ground.

"We saw what was in the ambulance and to me it looked like what was a giant pearl and it was shiny. It put off kind of like a diamond type reflection on it"."

For now what ever was in the sky will remain a mystery.

WAFF 48 talked to the director of Med-Flight about an hour ago and he did confirm they had one helicopter in the area and no other helicopters were in the air around that time.

Another Silver Sphere Report

I received this report last night from a retired USAF pilot and current airline pilot. It is in response to a recent report from Anthony posted here on March 4, 2008.

It was around October 1975 in rural North Mississippi, four miles north of Batesville. I was about 16 years old at the time and was walking along the edge of a soybean field with my trusty .22 rifle squirrel hunting.

I heard a very loud high pitched buzzing sound (like a cicada in the trees--which it may have been) but then everything was silent--even the birds. I looked up over my shoulder and saw a silver sphere just hovering about 300 feet above the ground and 1/4 mile away. It just stayed there. I thought, "hey look, a weather balloon." but there wasn't anything hanging from the bottom. Not a weather balloon. No gondola, so it also wasn't a hot air balloon either. It was just there hovering silently.

Here's where I acted like a typical teenager. The .22 had a scope on it, so I looked at the sphere through the scope--looked like a silver ball. I decided, "what the heck" I squeezed off a shot thinking if it was a balloon, I would be able to retrieve it. It hovered for a few seconds more then slowly drifted up and out of sight. There were cumulus clouds in the sky that day and the sphere was going along the edge of them rising in a slightly erratic fashion. But I was able to keep it in sight while it rose due to the contrast of the white clouds.

The thing that still makes me wonder to this day is how readily I accepted what I saw and how I felt no alarm. Just as in Anthony's report, I never felt any compulsion to tell anyone, and never did for years.

UFO Report: Strange Lights Over the North Fork of Long Island

I was sifting through some of the recent UFO reports I have received and came across one that didn't get posted for one reason or another. My sincere apologies to you Greg F., who sent this in on March 22, 2008. This should have been posted weeks ago:

I live on the North Fork of Long Island, and I have a big bay window in my bedroom. On most clear nights, I see what appears to be stars or planets in the north sky, about 45 to 70 degrees above the horizon. They seem normal, but if you look for a few moments you will see them move...up/down, side to side...almost like they're hovering...then in about 15 minutes they will have moved across my field of view. I don't know if they're UFO's but they're not planes/copters/stars/planets...

Additionally, about a week ago, about 3:00 AM, I woke up and saw a bright light moving south to north above the tree line, but many many mile away...it move steady, then stopped...moved again...stopped....moved steady...then disappeared...very strange...

Thought I was seeing things, but finally woke up my wife to watch, she is just as puzzled as me!!! Im 45, a police officer, she's 44, an office manager...both college educated, not kooks!!!

Looking for recent UFO sighting reports? Here are the latest UFO sightings as reported by Billy Booth at About.com:

California-03-28-08-At 8:05 PM, I was outside looking at the stars when I saw 2 to 3 red blinking lights. When I looked closer I noticed that there were 8 to 10 red blinking lights in a triangular formation.

They appeared to be high and fairly spread apart, but kept the triangular formation. There was a single plane flying in the same direction what seemed to be seconds after I lost sight of the red triangle shaped lights. source: www.mufon.com

Florida-03-29-08-We were at the beach having a bonfire, the sky was clear, and it was about 8:30 or 9:00 PM. I was looking up at the stars, and noticed a small red light (star?) and thought that it started moving. Then I noticed it was a really bright light that was moving, not the red light. It was moving northward and it seemed to be moving pretty fast.

I had everyone look up, and we were trying to figure out what it was. As it was moving across the sky heading to the north, it quickly changed directions and started moving eastward. It didn't turn, it moved quickly to the east and we continued watching it as it disappeared into the sky. It appeared to disappear into the stars.

I watched it until it could no longer be seen. We all deduced that it moved too fast and changed direction too fast to be a plane. Also, it was such a bright white light. We all tried to come up with a logical answer to what we were seeing but all we could figure out is what it wasn't-a plane, a satellite, or a comet... would love to know what it was. source: www.mufon.com

Missouri-04-05-08-I was walking into our bedroom to feed the baby, and also talking on the phone to my mom. I walked to the window (facing west) to shut the blind when I noticed a bright, yellowish light in the southwestern sky.

I was looking sort of catty-corned towards the Missouri river. I thought it was just an airplane at first, but it appeared to hover for around a minute. I watched it a little longer, and it seemed to waver and quiver around, so I figured it was probably a planet, since I've seen Venus appear to do similar things due to atmospheric distortion.

As I watched, the light sunk below the tree line. When this happened, I got off the phone in order to pay attention to this light better. As I watched, I could see the light moving back and forth and up and down behind the trees. I'm not sure just how long I watched it, but then the light emerged from the trees at about treetop level and started across the road and into the field, heading directly towards our house (the tree line is maybe about 300 yards from us).

The light appeared to be of a diamond-shape, composed of 3 or 4 smaller yellowish lights, and there was no noise associated with it. When I saw it start towards the house, I yelled and shut the blind as fast as I could. My husband heard me yell, and asked what was going on. Pennsylvania-04-07-08-It was between 1:00 and 1:15 AM, on the morning of April 7, 2008. I was in my car driving around the neighborhood looking for my cat. I saw a red light about the size of two quarters behind the trees, and it was moving. It pulsed. I was curious and followed it to get a closer look. It crossed over Rt. 309 over behind WalMart, and then I couldn't follow it anymore as the road ended and it eventually was out of sight.

It had a really bright, big red light and some smaller white lights and some other colors-I couldn't tell exactly what the other colors were as it moved quickly and then I lost sight of it. South Wales-04-02-08-I was walking our dogs with my mother in the countryside not far from our home in Penperlleni, South Wales at 10:20 PM. It was just starting to get dark and we saw what we initially thought was a really bright star. We were then standing still looking at it, and we realized it was moving. It was bigger than the few other stars that were out and a lot brighter.

It was moving at a fast, steady pace at what looked to be a high altitude. Unlike shooting stars or comets, it did not have a tail, it was very similar to a star, only brighter. An aircraft was nearby, and looked like it was at the same altitude. But, this thing was bigger than the aircraft and faster.

After a couple of minutes, it went into the clouds and was out of sight. After speaking to a few people and watching videos on youtube.com, I thought it could be a satellite, although I really have no idea what it was, and neither does my mother. I was pretty excited after seeing it, but definitely felt on guard the rest of the way home. Monday's Mysterious Lights Over Phoenix Explained

It appears that the mysterious lights seen over Phoenix Monday evening have a fairly ordinary explanation. A man has claimed his neighbor launched several helium balloons tied to flares from his back porch. A pilot with the Phoenix Police Department says he also saw what appeared to be balloons with flares floating in the same area that night. The FAA says it is not investigating the incident. The witness says he thinks the neighbor did it as a joke. Several Arizona residents had reported seeing the strange lights in the sky over Phoenix Monday evening. A resident managed to capture the lights on camera. The lights were seen hovering over the city for roughly 13 minutes Monday night.

Here is a VERY interesting video that was emailed to me Tuesday. It's a few years old, but still a MUST SEE!

I am always amazed at how the US government vehemently denies the existence of unidentified flying objects. According to this video, it appears that there are several other governments around the world whose military have absolute proof of UFOs and are apparently trying to get the US to disclose to the public what they really know. I wonder if that will ever happen.

MEXICO CITY - Mexican Air Force pilots filmed 11 unidentified flying objects in the skies over southern Campeche state, a Defense Department spokesman confirmed Tuesday.

A videotape made widely available to the news media on Tuesday shows the bright objects, some sharp points of light and others like large headlights, moving rapidly in what appears to be a late-evening sky.

The lights were filmed on March 5 by pilots using infrared equipment. They appeared to be flying at an altitude of about 3,500 meters (11,480 feet), and allegedly surrounded the Air Force jet as it conducted routine anti-drug trafficking vigilance in Campeche. Only three of the objects showed up on the plane's radar.

'Was I afraid? Yes. A little afraid because we were facing something that had never happened before,' said radar operator Lt. German Marin in a taped interview made public Tuesday.

'I couldn't say what it was ... but I think they're completely real,' added Lt. Mario Adrian Vazquez, the infrared equipment operator. Vazquez insisted that there was no way to alter the recorded images.

The plane's captain, Maj. Magdaleno Castanon, said the military jets chased the lights 'and I believe they could feel we were pursuing them.'

When the jets stopped following the objects, they disappeared, he said.

A Defense Department spokesman confirmed Tuesday that the videotape was filmed by members of the Mexican Air Force. The spokesman declined to comment further and spoke on customary condition of anonymity.

The video was first aired on national television Monday night then again at a news conference Tuesday by Jaime Maussan, a Mexican investigator who has dedicated the past 10 years to studying UFOs.

'This is historic news,' Maussan told reporters. 'Hundreds of videos (of UFOs) exist, but none had the backing of the armed forces of any country. ... The armed forces don't perpetuate frauds.'

Maussan said Secretary of Defense Gen. Ricardo Vega Garcia gave him the video on April 22. --

I would like to report a sighting last night at about 9:45pm over Surprise AZ.

What looked like a star in the big dipper that was twice as bright as the other stars stayed solid and did not move for about 20 seconds. Then it began to slowly move back and forth then smoothly slide off to the right and went dark at the same time moving east, just 10 minutes earlier I saw a Solid white "star" blinking off and on every 5 seconds seen in the northwest sky moving left to right, did not have the normal red and green lights of a normal aircraft, I thought it could have been a satellite rotating reflecting the light of the sun on it's solar panels that had set hours earlier.

California-03-23-08-It was early morning at 3:30 AM, when my girlfriend and I were walking back from our friend's place. We were at MLK and 57th Street in Oakland. I looked up and saw strange lights hovering above us. My girlfriend said later it looked like eight aircraft flying really low above us.
I didn't take time to count, but I took her word for it. I saw the lights too, but was stunned by their passing. We didn't hear any planes. The lights headed northeast. They were about five hundred feet above us, and the lights were really bright. The lights passed by fast! I grew up in Oakland, and have never seen anything in the sky like these lights. California-3-24-08-I had just got home after talking to my close family members and friends about an experience I had. I was walking home from my work studio when I saw I think, 6 lights above me. I was at about 40th and Broadway, Oakland, California, when I saw them fly above me slowly.
What I saw could have been about six or more aircraft moving over head or one aircraft with six lights on it but whatever it was, it was not a jet, or helicopter. It was silent and stealthy-no noise came from the object. I'm from LA and have seen many airplanes and helicopters pass by and they have that specific noise and red light-these had six or more lights that were bright white on the cooler side (whitish blue), and no sound whatsoever.
It was really creepy, and I even called the police department which responded as if I was crazy. My close friend told me about MUFON. I feel that my words cannot explain all the details of what I remember. All I can say is there were bright white lights flying low and did not blink or flicker. North Carolina-03-27-08-While driving an ambulance down Hwy 401 South between Garner and Fuquay Varina, North Carolina, I saw a triangle-shaped object flying at approximately 1000 feet altitude. It was very low to the ground, and making no noise. There were no markings noted.
The object did have a red light at back left corner, and a white light noted to the back right corner with no tail noted (looking up from ground). I was able to pull ahead of trees and noted object at high rate of speed over trees in the distance. This was witnessed by two paramedics. Pennsylvania-03-28-08-I went out back to have a smoke, looked up and saw a dimly lit, uneven triangle with about 8 to 10 lights moving too fast to be anything conventional. What I mean about uneven is that one side had 7 lights and the other side had 2 or 3 lights. It moved left a little, then back right, but the other parts of it as the center moved kept perfect pace with it. But the other parts moved around and back and forth but made the exact turns that the center did.
Then it was just too far away and too fast to see anymore. It was unbelievable. Behind my house is a flight path for airplanes and I see them constantly. There were also planes around that looked as if they were standing still compared to the speed that this or these things had.

Texas-03-26-08-I was looking out my garage window (looking west to east) and a triangular-shaped object just appeared in my line of sight. It had 5-6 lights, was slightly tilted (which enabled me to see the triangular shape) and appeared to be much larger than an aircraft. My view was not obstructed in any way.
It slowly moved from south to north for approximately 2-3 miles, and then just disappeared. Right before it disappeared, it moved slightly toward some bare trees that are a block over from my home. I could still see it clearly through the branches.
There is a municipal airport in that direction, so I am VERY used to seeing small aircraft, plus I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, so I also see a lot of commercial aircraft as well. I have been a radiographer (X-ray technologist) for 11 years, which requires me to be a keen observer. I also have perfect vision. There was no mistake!
It had too many lights, and the lights were not in the same places as they would be on a conventional aircraft. When the craft disappeared, I immediately stood up and began to look for it, but it was gone. It almost seemed like it turned in on itself. Illinois-Extremely Bright Lights-03-07-08-As I was returning home from Chicago traveling along westbound I-80, I noticed an extremely bright light in the sky to the west as I was passing the village of New Lenox, IL. I thought that it may be an airplane traveling east, which would explain why it did not appear to move. As I continued west, the light kept its brightness, and still did not move from its position. As I crossed the Des Plaines River Bridge in Joliet, I noticed that there were now two extremely bright lights.
As I drove alongside the West Park area in Joliet, I looked up from my driver's seat at the light source and saw a cross-shaped object silhouetted by the light, and hovering at about 80 feet above the ground. I was traveling at approximately 60 mph, but was able to see this object clearly. It had no similarity to a helicopter. I had my window open, and could hear no sound above the road sound being made by my vehicle. It was definitely not an airplane because of its nearness to the ground, and its absolutely stationary position.
As I continued west, I saw the second light, also along the south side of the interstate, but nearer the large garbage disposal area. As I drove alongside this light, I again looked up and saw an exact duplicate of the previous cross-shaped object, silently hovering at about the same height above the ground. As I passed, I thought to myself that I had just seen something very odd. Indiana-Five Discs-03-22-08-My girlfriend and I stepped out of her apartment to go to the store at exactly 9:56 PM. Where she lives there is little light pollution. We headed out and walked down the sidewalk. There was a full moon, and I remember I was going to comment on how the night sky would be perfect for telescopes. I had looked up and there I saw 5 whitish discs in a diagonal straight formation. It was a perfect line. They must have been spread apart by 15-20 feet each.
I don't know how high up they were, but I know they were lower than any plane should be. I could see the under belly of these craft based on the little light in the area that was being reflected off of it. I flipped out and ran around the other side of my girlfriend's car and grabbed her head and pointed her eyes toward the spot where I saw them. At that time they were gone.

New York-Two Large Lights-03-05-08-Poughquag-About 3:00 AM-I sat up in bed not totally awake and I saw 2 lights-they were round and a little bigger than the moon. The color was a golden light. They were level with each other. There was no sound outside of my bedroom window.
I laid back down and went to sleep, and the next night I looked out the same window to see if anything was there, but there was nothing but sky. Missouri-Low Flying Triangle-03-21-08-I went out by myself to get gas for my car at a near by gas station and decided to drive around for a little while afterward. I turned onto Lindbergh going south from Watson Rd.(Rt. 66) in Sunset Hills. Driving down Lindbergh I noticed some lights really low in the sky to the left of the road. At first I thought it was a helicopter and rolled down my window to listen and see if it was. There was no noise whatsoever.
It was just gliding slowly across the road. There were three white lights in a triangle on the bottom and around the edge there were all different colored lights strobing in a line around it. It must have been about 40 feet across if not more. I could not distinguish a shape-just the lights. It went directly over my car and was only a couple hundred feet or less above me. I turned right onto a subdivision street to follow it, but it was going north and the street I was on was going west.
I turned around and got back on Lindbergh going north but it was already really far away and disappeared from sight. Other people must have seen it because it was so ridiculously low. Pennsylvania-Bright Lights near Moon- 01-27-08-During each night of the full moon in January 2008, there was a really bright white light to the left of the full moon. I thought it was a star or planet but research showed no star or planet to be in that area of the sky. It was VERY bright white.
The first night I saw it, I didn't think much of it and thought it was a very bright star or planet. Then the second night I saw it I glanced up and noticed a red light was swirling around it intermittently. This is what caught my attention. I looked again and sure enough there was a red light along with the bright white light.
I don't think any stars or planets were in that part of the sky that were that bright. It was REALLY bright-bright white and looked like 10 really bright stars put together. As soon as I saw that cloud start to roll in, I was immediately reminded of that Stephen King movie I watched last week called "The Mist." But this cloud, even though it is toxic, isn't quite as scary as the one in the movie...at least there aren't any monsters in it, (well...besides anhydrous ammonia).

UFO Sighting Over Phoenix, Arizona - April 6, 2008

This sighting came in during the wee hours of the morning (my time, which is Central Daylight Time) from Mike in Mesa, AZ. The craft was spotted by Mike hovering over Phoenix at approximately 11:15pm PDT:

Hi im mike, and am curently witnessing a UFO. so im typing this as I

watch it. I first saw it around 11:15 pm. It is a very large object and

it has one orange light in the front of the aircraft and it is long it

almost looks like a fire ball but stationary above phoenix. That's how

big it is, I can see it from east mesa. The wierd thing is I saw a very

very similar UFO in that same spot (just above phoenix) a little more

than a year ago. Then I had binoculars and it was orange almost looked

like it was on fire, but when I looked clearly at it, you could see the

distinct sides of a dull metalic coat over the object. You probably

won't believe me when I saw this but it had strange signs or writings on

it simmilar to crop circle designs. But now it is just sitting there

about 30 minutes now. 11:45 it just started to fade away to nothing. It

is now gone.

Latest UFO Sightings for April 1, 2008

The following is an email I received on March 30, 2008 from Will K.:

On Monday, March 24, 2008, around 8:40 PM, my family and I were

sitting on the deck of a friends home in a remote beach area 16 miles

from the city of La Paz, Mexico. We were star gazing and suddenly

witnessed an unusual craft silently moving across the sky. It didn't

make a sound and, unlike the satellites we witnessed, moved in a

straight line across the sky relatively low compared to satellites.

Then suddenly disappeared. The object appeared to have two bright

lights, one in front and one considerably spaced toward the rear and

the most astonishing thing was that it had a comet like tail - a very

wide, bright and illuminated tail that appeared bent or arched

downward. In fact, at first we thought it may be a comet except for

the two lights.

There was no time to grab a camera. We wondered for days what it

might be then we heard about the shuttle landing but that occurred on

Wednesday.

Any thoughts to what we may have seen?

This sounds like many other sightings I have heard about where the craft makes no sound. In fact this sounds strangely like a sighting my friend in Tennessee had back in the '90s. He said a strange craft with two bright lights hovered over his back field for several minutes before flying across and making no sound, and then took off at a high rate of speed and vanished into the night. I doubt your sighting was a comet, or the shuttle. There's really no telling. It's too bad you didn't have video for us to see. ~K

California-02-21-08-My wife and I were on a cruise ship called the Star heading down to Acapulco (My wife's birthday). We were sent on the cruise by my CEO of Daycom Systems Inc. My wife and I had just recently lost our oldest son Eythan to his battle with cancer. My CEO paid for us to go on vacation to get away, so we booked a cruise with Norwegian Cruise lines.
We had suite 11020 on the 11th deck, which is forward/starboard of the ship. At about 11:30 PM, I went out on the balcony of our suite and I looked aft of the ship up at the smoke stack which was blowing northwest-our heading was southeast along Baja, California.
I was out on the balcony in my robe and I just lit a smoke when I saw what looked like a spark or something in the smoke stack. I told myself it was a spark that came out of the exhaust, but I noticed it was moving in an elliptical motion away and back towards the ship. As it came back to the ship it would leave my sight because it was behind the ship. I sat there thinking if what I saw was real, when about 5 seconds later it came back following the same pattern.
I then called for my wife to come look at it. As she got her robe on, it came and did the same pattern again. I called for my wife with more urgency since I had become really startled. She came out on the balcony and I told her to just watch the sky behind the ship and to focus on the smoke stack. She gasped about 10 seconds later when she saw a gold orb of light make an elliptical pattern just as I had seen 3 times.
She asked me if it was a bird, and I replied there is no way that was a bird. I told her we had to get to the very aft of the ship and then we bolted for the elevator and we got out on the 12th deck and continued aft of the ship. We sat back there for a few minutes with camera in hand.
After not seeing anything, we lost interest and starting looking at the moon and stars. Then suddenly out on the horizon north of us we saw the strange orb "turn on" and glide over the horizon for about 5 seconds before "turning off" and vanishing.
My wife and I were completely freaked out and we knew we saw something not of this world. I have recently begun to research this type of thing and have found many photos and videos that show exactly what we saw, so I am convinced there are UFOs. source: www.mufon.com
California-03-03-08-Long Beach-Chrome disc motionless over ocean at sunset in Long Beach, CA, at 5:45 PM.
I was on Ocean Blvd going west toward Redondo Avenue and I was looking at the sky over the ocean which had a residue of chem trail, probably from military aircraft. This is quite common here. I saw an object flying away from me, and I stopped my car to get a better look at what it might be. It also trailed something behind it, but it did not dissipate.
The object appeared to be headed toward a crash, but then it suddenly came to a complete stop-like it was frozen in the sky. It was a chrome-like object with the sun reflecting off of its metallic surface. It seemed to me to be a disc-shaped object. Florida-03-15-08-My mother and I were visiting my brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew in Broward County-(Southwest Ranches) and, as we were preparing to leave, we were standing outside in the driveway talking and star gazing. My brother is an amateur astronomer, my nephew is studying aeronautical engineering, my niece is an attorney, my sister-in-law is a nurse, and I am a professional local government employee.
We were star-gazing and discussing the various constellations and stars, when my nephew stated that he saw something in the western sky that was very odd. We all saw what appeared to be a triangular shaped object with silver/white lights flying from south to north. It was a clear, near cloudless sky with a bright moon, so visibility was clear.
At first I thought it was a flock of birds flying in a "V" formation and the moonlight was reflecting off of them. But then I saw a single white light blink one time, in what would be the rear center of the object. As it was going away from us to the north, it appeared to change trajectory as if it was turning or banking to one side (to its right), so that the lights then appeared to align in a straight line. There were no red or green lights. It was not an airplane or a helicopter. There was no sound.
It is very difficult to estimate the height, but I would guess it was about one-half mile high. The entire event only lasted about one minute plus.
My sister-in-law and niece dismissed it as a military "flying wing," but my brother and nephew (who both fly small planes) are very knowledgeable about various models of airplanes, and they said it was the wrong configuration to be the currently known flying wing.
It was an amazing event and we were all pretty stunned. I drew out what I witnessed tonight, and just called my nephew to get his immediate recollection as it was still fresh in all our minds. He did not recall seeing the single light at the rear of the object, that I saw, but, we all concur it was a triangular shaped object-and it must have been solid, as we could see no stars between the lights. source: www.mufon.com
Georgia-03-03-08-Bloomingdale-Triangle-shaped silver object hovering 100 ft above tree line on Hwy 80 tilted downward and shot out of view.
Driving down Hwy 80, I saw a triangle-shaped object with lights on the points of the triangle. It was hovering above the trees approximately 100 ft. high. It was silver in color. I rolled down the window and could hear a low humming noise.

Indiana-03-06-08-My husband and I and younger daughter were traveling home from Monticello on the evening of March 6, 2008. We were headed north on NW Shafer Drive when my husband said, "Look at those lights," pointing to the eastern sky. I was driving so I could not see past him. My younger daughter was sitting in the back seat behind him and said "What is it?"
I slowed down to pull over, but he said the objects were gone. We traveled approximately 1-2 minutes and turned onto our road when he said, "Look, there they are again." I then stopped and looked at them. They were two oval-shaped, bright orange lights that flashed a couple of times and vanished very quickly, almost like it was absorbed into the sky. My husband stayed outside awhile after we returned home, but didn't see anything else that evening. Here's a news article I found this evening that was posted at KIII TV3 (South Texas) today, March 25, 2008:

On Monday night a viewer came by the station with video of a UFO he captured on his cellphone Saturday night. He says it was in the northern part of the sky and stayed there for 10-15 minutes. After hearing that story on our news, other viewers began to email and call us with their sighting claims. One man, Dennis Limon of Aransas Pass told us that he was out in front of his home when he spotted the object. It was large and yellow to orange in color. He claims that it also had a fire or sparks coming from behind the object. Federal officials at N-A-S Corpus Christi say that no one was manning their control tower over the weekend and at the airport nothing unusual was reported. Still, there are a number of eyewitnesses who saw they saw something in the sky. But what it was may remain a mystery.

This one is from Leigh and is in response to Anthony's sighting on March 4, 2008, received on March 22nd:

Your recent letter by Anthony hit me so hard I thought I was going to fall off my seat.
I too saw the same craft and had the same experience as he did.. My whole family witnessed it. I was about 12 at the time and I lived in Mesa (Dobson and Gaudalupe)
The craft was so large , it was what seemed to be the size of a football field.

We watched it come in from the west and fly directly over us at a very slow speed. It made a low warm hum , well more like a vibration. My father worked at Garrett at the time and said he never seen anything like it , nor heard of any plane capable of maneuvering like this craft did. We were very surprised that the incident was not on the news , thousands of people had to have seen it. The next day at school I said something to my teacher and he got very excited and had me go to the principle of the school to draw a picture of the craft we had seen. I am assuming it was to prove to her that he too had seen something.. I had a very strange thing happen several years later when I was sixteen.This happened in the same place I had seen the craft the first time. I pulled in front of my house and when I turned the car off I was surrounded (blinded) by the brightest blue/white light , a color I had never seem before which makes it difficult to even explain how brilliant it was. I felt a warm vibration and my car shook a bit . I remember thinking I had got hit by lightning, although it was a clear night. Then as quick as it happened it slipped my mind. when I walked in the door I got in trouble for being an hour late. I know I was on time when I arrived and was confused and forgot what had just happened.. I was at a friends house prior and called her to ask why her clocks were wrong and let her know I was now grounded . She said I left over an hour ago and if I went straight home there was no way I was an hour late. We still talk about that night to this day and it cant be explained. I wonder if the two incidents are related? Anyway , I have been waiting for years to hear someone else talk about that night and that ship.

The objects appear at different times during the night sometimes just before sunset or at dawn. The latest strangest of all appear to seperate and rejoin glowing low luminosity star red in the east southeast sky c. 10:15 p.m. EST. Object hurdled towards earth again at great velocity leaving no ionization trail characteristic of meteorite or comet. No explosion or report/s heard over scanners. Point of origin approximate 30-45 degrees above horizon. Earlier last month one silently buzzed the mountain west of here and continued on upward out of site and apparently out of atmosphere. Same color scheme except up closer looked like ball of gas plasma orangish like our sun but small. At first moving at exceptable air speed velocity but as appeared to ascend toward pleiades many times faster than any aircraft/projectile military/experimental that I know of to exist. Any ideas what these things are doing or what they may be. I am kind of thinking more along the lines of angelic pixies fairies those bubble thingies the witches traveled inside of in the wizard of oz.

Did u c the georgia dome incident the other night strange aperiodic oscillations, then this area had a few blackouts. Supposedly there is a secret installation associated with the old Rosman, N.C. tracking station used by the CIA during the cold war, the supposed name is area 21 or 22 according to different sources. I have seen many manned and unmanned aerial vehicles namely f-122a raptors marine issue equipped for vertical takeoff, dp-22 sparrows, several ground and aerial radar/microwave/far infrared military vehicles in the area. According to several older people who are my neighbors this stuff has been going on for years out here. Usually individuals who attempt to bring it to public attention or question its nature are defamed harrassed and sometimes attacked or their property or evidence is damaged. Just try doing an internet search including the words Pisgah Forest Experimental Jet Aircraft or any similar, the results read like some kind of crazy internet information jamming virus or something. I have contacted the FAA on several occassions after neighbors reported seeing crashes and explosions or planes flying way to low, they always tell me the same thing sir there are training excercises going on in the area that is all we can tell you. I think maybe some of the radio stuff the military is using maybe interfering with these entities or maybe they have obtained equipment and or fallen members of this race which are wanted back, I am not sure. I just know that this kind of interdimensional intergalactic activity has been brought to my attn since at least the age of 8 or 9. I think i am more observant or aware of this type of presence but I don't know what it means at all.

This one is from someone in Rancho Cucamonga in southern California. The sighting is believed to have been near Sunset Peak, north of Upland, California. Received March 18, 2008:

Tonight, 3/15/o8, aroun 8pm, i spotted what appeared to be a UFO. It was a bright flashing light that would move around but stayed in the same general area, and some flashes would be much brighter than others. It was there for about 10 minutes before vanishing. I couldnt tell the shape too well because of the heavy fog. I have never seen anything like it before.

Georgia-03-12-I looked outside and saw two objects go over my house. They were so low, they could have landed: a small object followed. It was like a disk, with a red and white light underneath. The red light was blinking.
I heard no sounds until it went over and I watched out the front of my house. It was still tree- top level. It was like looking at two ships playing tag with each other. The sound was a loud "whoosing." I followed it for about 3 to 5 minutes. My cats were acting strangely, and I was really excited. I didn't sleep until after the event. Nevada-03-13-I was sitting outside smoking a cigarette, facing northwest, on a clear day with only a few wispy clouds. I routinely watch the skies. I noticed a bright deep-orange object almost drifting from SSW to NNE across my line of vision. At first, I thought I was seeing an inflated advertising balloon/blimp that had come un-tethered and was escaping.
There was only a slight breeze on the ground, less than 5 MPH probably, and the few scattered clouds were not visibly moving at all. This orange object did not drift upward, as an escaping balloon might. It moved steadily in a horizontal NNE direction, at about 75-80 degrees above the horizon. I got a pair of (inexpensive) binoculars and with them the object appeared to be a bright orange cube, slowly rotating on one point of the cube, with black semicircular areas at the two corners of the cube, which were the leading edge and trailing edges of the cube, given the direction of travel.
These semicircles were large, deep black, and pulsated on and off at regular intervals. It made no sound, had no visible means of propulsion, and was moving slowly and steadily. I cannot estimate the height or size of the object very well. It was at approximately 75-80 degrees above the horizon, and could have been any distance out from me. I extended my arm/thumb, and the object appeared about 1/2 the size of my thumbnail. source: www.mufon.com
Texas-November/December, 2007-White Oak-It was a Thursday, but I do not remember the exact date. I walked outside of my workplace and looked toward the west/southwest and noticed what looked to be a weird orange/yellow cloud. It was some distance away-I could not determine exactly how far. It didn't appear to move. I thought the moon was playing tricks on the clouds until I actually saw the moon at another position in the sky.
I continued to watch for approximately 1 minute. It seemed as if it was a plane exploding with the fuel causing a huge fire. I saw the silhouette of what appeared to be debris shooting out of the flame just before it disappeared, an hour later or so. I heard what appeared to be numerous helicopters. I searched the media, but came up with no plane crash/missing flights that were reported. I saw the Stephenville UFO reports in the media and did some research. I'm approximately 200 miles away from there in the same direction I saw the explosion. Perhaps something crashed and they came to find it? source: www.mufon.com
Texas-02-07- I was driving at night close to home, and up in the trees I saw an amber, glowing triangle (it was almost the color of my street light but more amber). The bottom had what appeared to be nine round disk lights that seem brighter than the rest of the body. It also had 3 rounded corners. It had substance as the sides seemed to curve around upward making it 3-dimensional, not flat looking.
I could not tell if it was moving or not as I was driving and trying to pay more attention to the road, although I was close to turning into my driveway. When I turned in, the object was then too high and on my right side where the car roof blocked it, and I was scared to stop and get out. I have looked again at night from the same vantage point and have not seen it or any lights that I could have mistaken for the object. I had not had any drinks or drugs that would impair my recollection of what I saw. I did not tell anyone except my husband, for fear I would be called a nut. Belize-03-12-08-Local news reports that Belmopan residents report seeing UFOs. Love News received reports that a few residents in the Belmopan area saw some bright lights over the hills in the direction of the University Heights area. We were told that the unidentified objects were bright fireball-like lights that came on and off for about 30 seconds at a time. This lasted for more than two hours.
One resident claimed that some two years ago, similar objects were seen in the night skies from Belmopan and wondered if it could be UFOs. We were also told by one of the viewers who have a lot of experience with flares and fire displays that what he saw was nothing similar to what he knows about flares and fires.
