I was wondering if I'd be able to come to grips with the unique sock structure of Cat Bordhi's socks......starting the whirlpool toe is quite interesting.... This second one was much easier than the first.....so I must be getting my mind around the wonderness of it all!!!!Here they are - done - fini - and Caelee approves.

I finished "Road Movies".......and I'm not sure what to say exactly. It's like reading a very detailed travel diary of someone. Because it's someone I'm intrigued by, I found it interesting....at first.....but it became (to me) very same old same old......no insight into the person at all. I finished reading it with no end of book reaction. Nothing. Maybe it's just me? I don't know.

To get a box in the mail, that contained something so nicely wrapped that you don't want to open it, almost.......but you know what it is and you can't wait! Knit in Opal hand-dyed yarn, these socks were a fun knit -- unusual (to me) arch and heel. I wish now that I'd knit one size smaller, so I bought another skein of yarn to do just that! Daisy wondes when it's going to be Spring.....she's still sleeping on the heat registers. Happy Knitting!

Of course, when you drive a Mini, it can be a bit daunting....... DH had dug out the end of the driveway enough for him to get out, and left a path thru the snow -- tantalizing, but too deep for poor Myrtle Mini! but what's that - he doesn't fly, he doesn't leap tall buildings, he drives a snow blower! And the last FO of last year -- here they are together. So sad, but the orange socks that I knit were too small for DH, so I had to knit him this blue/grey pair - both Opal sock yarns. Mine have been washed a couple of times and the yarn has bloomed and softened wonderfully. DH's pair are hot off of the needles tonight. First finished object of 2008! Here's to many more! SNOW!
