type='text'>The Menacing Mathematics of Multiple Meds

I want you to read something that is very serious.
This comes from Gary Craig, the founder of EFT.
Please read his letter and then decide for yourself
whether you want to try the alternative…

The Menacing Mathematics of Multiple Meds

By Gary Craig

There's something scary about drugs that concerns a growing number of physicians and should wobble the knees of every patient on the planet. It's obvious to any mathematician but somehow has escaped the general scrutiny of the health industry.

It has to do with combining meds.

Ever since I can remember I have been fed the perception that drugs are governmentally evaluated and thus are safe if taken under the guidance of competent physicians. However, even if we accept the presumed safety for the ingestion of one drug, we must ask ourselves how might that safety change if we take multiple drugs?

For safety assurances, proper testing should be done for every drug combination we are advised to take. If we take Prozac and Tylenol, for example, we should be presented with all the possible benefits and consequences before allowing these two foreign substances to mix with the chemicals our bodies already create. Same thing goes for combining Paxil with Viagra or Interferon with Lipitor.

The list of possible problems here is monstrously long because there are a b'zillion drugs and mega b'zillions of combinations. Nonetheless, I've never seen or heard of any studies that test any of these combinations ... have you?

Thus, if you take two drugs, the odds of their combination having been adequately
tested for safety are skimpy at best. But if you take 3 or more drugs the danger possibilities multiply even faster.

Here's how the mathematics work:

If you take 3 drugs then adequate safety testing of the various combinations require 7 separate tests. If you take 4 drugs the combinations require 25 separate tests. If you take 5 drugs it amounts to 121 tests. If you take 10 drugs the number of required safety tests total 362,881.

The conclusion here should be obvious. Namely, there is questionable safety testing
if you take 2 drugs and nominal, if any, safety testing if you take 3.
Beyond that you are clearly into the land of,
"I have no idea what these combinations of drugs will do."

To me, this tosses our dedicated docs into a tenuous position.
They have patients with problems who aren't willing to exercise, eat right,
do EFT for emotional issues ( http://www.emofree.com/a/?1497 ) or much of anything else to help their own health. Instead, the patients hopethe physicians will produce a magic pill (or pills) to make their problems go away.

I have met many patients who are on several drugs and take some drugs
to counteract the effects of other drugs. As a non-physician I look at this with a shudder. These folks are being fed chemical cocktails with little or no safety testing behind the combinations. Maybe I need some help with my perceptions here but, to me, they are playing drug roulette.

I don't know if lawyers have picked up on the simple, but compelling, math here.
But I do know that I wouldn't want to be a doctor in court facing these clear facts.

In the 15+ years I have been involved in the health field, I have had the
good fortune to count many physicians as my personal friends.

With few exceptions, they agree that it is our lifestyles, diets and emotional stresses that cause most of our health problems ... and ... the vast majority of these problems would vanish if people would live common sense lives.

Yet patients repeatedly abuse their bodies and ask for more and more "miracle drugs" as the convenient solution. I don't envy the docs at all as I often hear them complain that this is a highway to NobodyWinsVille.

Maybe what we really need are good salespeople to persuade folks
to take care of themselves. I suspect that, if truly persuasive,
they would do more good than the ocean of drugs at our disposal.

Love, Gary

PS: The Free EFT Get Started Package can help any newcomer learn the valuable EFT process:

Click here for the FREE Get Started Package

If you want to save time and dive right in, get our low cost DVD Library:

Click here for the LOW cost DVD Library

What is Wrong with Bread?

"Gluten" comes from the Greek word for glue,
and its adhesive properties hold bread and cake together.
But those same properties interfere with the breakdown
and absorption of nutrients, including the nutrients
from other foods in the same meal. The result is a worthless,
glued-together constipating lump in the gut rather than a nutritious meal.

At worst, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, multiple sclerosis
and cancer can result from severe celiac disease or
extreme gluten sensitivity. But there are many others
who suffer from unexplained diarrhea, intestinal gas and bloating,
joint pains, infertility or brain fog.

However, the wheat that our ancestors ate was different in form,
quantity and antigenicity from what people eat today.
Until the 19th century, a very recent time in human history,
wheat was generally mixed with other grains, beans and nuts.

Only in the last 200 years has pure wheat flour
with high gluten content been milled to the point of
refined white flour. Generally, the wheat that people eat
is no longer stone ground from whole meal flour,
as even our recent ancestors ate.

By now, almost all of us alive today have been given
white wheat flour products on a daily basis
from a few months of age - before the intestinal lining
can properly filter anything other than mother's milk to the bloodstream.

Read more about this here

Infinite Smile- Currently my Favourite Spiritual Podcast

I discovered Infinite Smile by accident one day
and have never looked back. Which is better for Reducing Risk of Diabetes?

According to a new study by researchers examining
whether a calorie-restrictive diet can extend the human lifespan,
both diet and exercise provide profound benefits to reduce the risk of diabetes.

The researchers, who initially thought that exercise would produce
greater benefits, examined 50 to 60 year olds whose body mass index
was between 23 and 30 (at the high end of normal weight or overweight, but not obese).

The scientists were looking at diabetes development
because the disease is one of the main causes of premature death.

The study participants were divided into groups and treated
with either an exercise regimen or a calorie-restricted diet.
All participants had their insulin action and glucose tolerance e
valuated at the beginning and end of the study.

The ultimate goal of the diet group was to cut
the number of calories they ate by 20 percent,
while the exercise group was charged
with burning 20 percent more of their calories.

Glucose tolerance and insulin levels improved
to roughly the same degree in both the dieters and exercisers.
Both groups also lost weight.

Read more here

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.sublimeself.com/blog/2006/11/from-dr-mercola-exercise-or-diet-which.html' title='From Dr Mercola- Exercise or Diet? Go and look on the kitchen floor,
You'll find some flowers there by the door.
Those are the flowers he brought for you.
He picked them himself: pink, yellow and blue.

He stood very quietly not to spoil the surprise,
you never saw the tears that filled his little eyes."

By this time, I felt very small,
And now my tears began to fall.

I quietly went and knelt by his bed;
"Wake up, little one, wake up," I said.
"Are these the flowers you picked for me?"

He smiled, "I found 'em, out by the tree.
I picked 'em because they're pretty like you.
I knew you'd like 'em, especially the blue."

I said, "Son, I'm very sorry for the way I acted today;
I shouldn't have yelled at you that way."

He said, "Oh, Mom, that's okay. style="color:#3333ff;">RIKEN's MDGrape-3 is the first machine to break
the petaflop barrier -- that's 1 quadrillion calculations (
floating-point operations, to be specific) per second --
and it's three times faster than the
currently ranked fastest computer in the world,
IBM's BlueGene/L.

But MDGrape-3 is so specialized that it can't run the
software used to officially rank computing speed.
What it can do is determine the effect of any chemical
compound on one of the most intricate systems in the
human body in a couple of seconds.

MDGrape-3 is designed for pharmaceutical research,
specifically molecular dynamics simulation.
In developing drugs, pharmaceutical companies have to
analyze thousands on thousands of chemical compounds
to find out how they'll affect the protein-bonding structures in the human body.

Protein structures called enzymes are the building blocks
that do all of the work within a cell, and the way these proteins
bond with any drug compound introduced into the human body
determines the body's response to that drug.

MDGrape-3 produces simulations of these molecular interactions.

Connection Found Between Soft Drink Consumption and Mental Health Problems

A Norwegian study has shown that teens
who drink the largest quantities of sugary soft drinks
also have more mental health problems,
including hyperactivity and distress.

More than 5,000 Norwegian 15- and 16-year-olds
were surveyed regarding their soft drink habits,
and then given a standard mental health questionnaire.

There was a clear association between soft drinks and hyperactivity,
and additional links to other mental disorders.

Most of the teens drank between one and six soft drinks each week.
Teens who skipped breakfast and lunch tended to
consume more soft drinks than others.

The worst mental health problems were seen in the
10 percent of boys and 2 percent of girls
who drank four or more soft drinks a day.

Read the rest of the article type='text'>Dangers of Microwave Ovens

MICROWAVED WATER - SEE WHAT IT DOES TO PLANTS

A girl in America recently did a science fair project:
In it she took filtered water and divided it into two parts.
The first part she heated to boiling in a pan on the stove,
and the second part she heated to boiling in a microwave.

Then after cooling she used the water to water
two identical plants to see if there would be any difference
in the growth between the normal boiled water
and the water boiled in a microwave.

She was thinking that the structure or energy of the water
may be compromised by microwave. As it turned out,
even she was amazed at the difference...

Have a look at these shocking pictures

I have known for years that the problem with microwaved
anything is not the radiation people used to worry about:

It's how it corrupts the DNA in the food so the body
can not recognize it. So the body wraps it in fat cells
to protect itself from the dead food or it eliminates it fast.

Think of all the Mothers heating up milk in these
"safe" appliances. What about the nurse in Canada that
warmed up blood for a transfusion patient and accidentally
killed them when the blood went in dead.

But the makers say it's safe. Never mind then, keep using them.

Ask your Doctor I am sure they will say it's safe too.

Proof is in the pictures of living plants dying.

Remember: You are also Living. Take Care.

FORENSIC RESEARCH DOCUMENT
Prepared By: William P. Kopp
A. R. E. C. Research Operations
TO61-7R10/10-77F05
RELEASE PRIORITY: CLASS I ROO1a

Ten Reasons to Throw out your Microwave Oven
From the conclusions of the Swiss, Russian and German
scientific clinical studies, we can no longer ignore the
microwave oven sitting in our kitchens.

Based on this research, we will conclude this article
with the following:
1) Continually eating food processed from a microwave oven
causes long term - permanent - brain damage by "shorting out" electrical impulses in the brain [de-polarizing or de-magnetizing the brain tissue].

2) The human body cannot metabolize [break down] the unknown by-products created in microwaved food.

3) Male and female hormone production is shut down and/or altered by continually eating microwaved foods.

4) The effects of microwaved food by-products are residual [long term, permanent] within the human body.

5) Minerals, vitamins, and nutrients of all microwaved food is reduced or altered so that the human body gets little or no benefit, or the human body absorbs altered compounds
that cannot be broken down.

6) The minerals in vegetables are altered into cancerous free radicals when cooked in microwave ovens.

7) Microwaved foods cause stomach and intestinal cancerous growths [tumors]. This may explain the rapidly increased rate of colon cancer in America.

8) The prolonged eating of microwaved foods causes cancerous cells to increase in human blood.

9) Continual ingestion of microwaved food causes immune system deficiencies through lymph gland and blood serum alterations.

10) Eating microwaved food causes loss of memory, concentration, emotional instability, and a decrease of intelligence.

Have you tossed out your microwave oven yet?!

After you throw out your microwave you can use a
toaster oven as a replacement.

It works well for most and is nearly as quick.

What kind of person are you?

From Kindness: Making a Difference in People's Lives:
Formulas, stories, and insights from Zelig Pliskin
Printed with Permission of Shaar Press

With each action you take and with every word you say,
you answer an important question.

"What kind of person are you?"

Are you a giver or a taker?

All takers must give and all givers must take.
But there is a basic pattern of giving and a basic pattern of taking.

A giver thinks about what he can do for others.
He takes in order to give. A taker thinks about what
others can do for him. Even when he gives, it is only because
he wants to take.

By increasing your giving, you become more of a giver.
Are you a person who loves to do acts of kindness?
You answer this by the way you react when people ask
you to do things for them. Are you pleased to have opportunities
to help others or do you resent people bothering you?

The more you increase your sense of joy for doing things
for others, the more you become a lover of kindness.
As you respond compassionately to the plight of others,
you become a compassionate person. Ignoring the plight of
others gives a very different answer to the question,
"What kind of person are you?"

When you go beyond the ordinary to do major things
for another human being, you create an extraordinary person.

There is no limit to the heights to which you can elevate yourself.

When you spend time thinking of creative ways to help others,
your creativity is a work of art. There are many forms of creative artistry.
The form that elevates you the most is creative kindness.
You look for ways to help people who need help but are reluctant
to take anything even time from others. You find creative ways
to cheer up the despondent, to help people overcome their obstacles,
and to make peace between people who quarrel.

As you creatively find answers to people’s problems,
the kind of person you become is an elevated creative artist.
You are creating a better life for a fellow human being.

What kind of person do you really want to be?

Writing this in the form of a mission statement
or an essay has a powerful effect on one’s self-image.
The act of writing that you want to be a kind and
compassionate giver motivates positive action.

And the actual way you answer: "What kind of person are you?"
is answered by the way you speak to others and what you do for them.
How to handle stress...naturally

there are so many ways to manage your stress naturally...

I want to share my most powerful methods with you.

firstly, you need to breathe right.
Your breath affects all the other functions of your body.
If you are breathing shallowly,
it will cause the body to become stressed without your help.

now, add the stress added to your body by your thoughts,
other people's actions and your reactions to them
and the normal daily stresses of life,
you might end up feeling like a time bomb just ready to pop...

Unless you can teach yourself this one trick:

Take 3 deep breaths...
Breathe all the way in and all the way out...
Now close your eyes and visualise floating
up and out of your body.
See your stressed self down there.
Keep floating up and up until the other you
is only a little dot far below.
Spend a few moments floating around up here,
relaxing and enjoying the feelings of being
disconnected from your little stressed self down there.

Now, send that self some calmness in the form of light.
Make the light any colour and send it down to them
like a gentle feather slowly floating downwards.

See how much they relax when the light touches them.

When you are ready, float back down into
your body and open your eyes.

You should be a bit more relaxed now...<div knife and fork down
in between every bite.

Take a bite...
put your knife and fork down...
breathe and chew...
swallow...and then only
do you pick up your knife and fork
to take your next bite.

Eating type='text'>Natural Weight Loss- at least 5 pounds per week!

Don't take pills or go on fad diets.

There are surefire ways to lose at least 5 pounds
per week just by changing your habits.

Do not eat carbohydrates after 6pm.
Carbohydrates are white flour pastas, potatoes, crisps, bread, etc.
Have fish, chicken, meat and vegetables instead.
You can even substitute potatoes with sweet potatoes.
They taste better anyway!

I promise if you have your carbs during the day
instead of in the evening you will
sleep better,
Perfect Peace

There once was a King
who offered a prize to the artist who would
paint the best picture of peace.

Many artists tried.
The King looked at all the pictures,
but there were only two he really liked
and he had to choose between them.

One picture was of a calm lake.
The lake was a perfect mirror for
peaceful towering mountains were all around it.

Overhead was a blue sky with fluffy white clouds.
All who saw this picture thought that it was
a perfect picture of peace.

The other picture had mountains too.
But these were rugged and bare.
Above was an angry sky from which rain fell,
in which lightning played.
Down the side of the mountain tumbled a foaming waterfall.
This did not look peaceful at all.

But when the King looked, he saw behind the waterfall
a tiny bush growing in a crack in the rock.
In the bush a mother bird had built her nest.
There, in the midst of the rush of angry water, sat the
mother bird on her nest ... perfect peace.

Which picture do you think won the prize?

The King chose the second picture.
Do you know why?

"Because," explained the King,
"peace does not mean to be in a place
where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work.

Peace means to be inthe midst of all those things
and still be calm in your heart.
That is the real meaning of peace."
<img width='1' height='1'
