I’m so lucky yesterday and today. I was able to catch opps (1 yesterday, 1 today) in a very last seconds they were available. The moment I reserved these opps, they were gone after that.

I was in the mood writing posts last night and I ended up sleeping in the middle of the night and woke up early with breakfast in bed prepared by my husband. Cold Weather

The cold weather made me get tired easily. At the end of the day, I don’t have enough energy to put the baby to sleep. Just so you know that even if she’s 15months already, she still wants to be held until she falls asleep. Thank you hubby for being a hands-on dad to our baby. And because of that, I’m willing to give you more babies as much as you want. But hopefully our next baby is a boy, if girl then we’ll keep trying until we reach 1 basketball of baseball team.

Myluv, are you still reading my blogs? I think you miss a lot already but sometimes I heard you laughing alone so perhaps you were reading my blogs. It’s now 10:21 PM and it’s good to watch you and the baby by my side sleeping. Yeah, we are both wondering when are we gonna transfer her to Bienne’s room. For now, in this cold weather we’ll just let Bienne sleeps on Arianna’s crib except on the nights that we need to be alone. Oh how I love our portable heater, it feels good. I like to stay in the master’s bedroom all day, in this cold weather. Sometimes though, I also like to stay in our den in front of our fireplace and listening to you, reading the book about Morie. You are truly a family-man . Life is so good. I’m looking forward to our big happy family in the future. Good night. I love you. Sleep well.

My New Notebook

I've been eyeing for a mini laptop for quite awhile and after the long wait, I finally acquired it today. The first time I laid my eyes on this notebook, I couldn’t stop smiling because it was really my desire to have a notebook that is portable and light weight . It has an 8 hour battery life that I really like on a notebook. I’m so happy that I’m having it now and I bet I’ll be more addicted in blogging and social networking (the Facebook).

I saved my blogging income just to get this notebook. I really wanted to have something to remember from blogging (as if I‘m quitting but no, I‘m addicted to it). The husband was willing to pay the cost though but I insisted to use my hard earned money. He's so loving and supportive to me, whatever I do and whatever I want, as long as I‘m happy with it. I don’t know what to say or share. .that’s the result when there are multiple blogs to maintain. I have personal post that I intend to share but it has to be posted on the other blog which fit better for the topic. But there’s one short ,sour, and yummy post to share. Here it goes : 2 pcs of sweet pomelo from Costco, sweet mango from Walmart, and sautéed shrimp paste (gisadong alaman) from PinoyStore. I’m so lucky that all foods that I like to eat are available here in our area. I feel like I’m still in the Philippines which is pretty cool to think. Whenever I eat such foods, I’m imagining that I’m in my beloved country.

This morning, I cooked sardines with sayote and sautéed shrimp, it was so yummy that I ate two plates of rice, with diet soda as my pushdrink. I didn’t intend to stop eating but no more rice in the cooker. My brunch was solved. I didn’t resume eating until dinner time. I noticed though that I gain few pounds but still I have no plan to slowdown my eating habit because I know how easy for me to loss weight - - - been there before. How to loss weight? - - -when you feel hungry, don’t eat but sleep!

I came from a family of teachers. My father is a retired teacher and my mother is a teacher too. And yes, I followed their footsteps. I finished my Bachelor in Elementary Education in 2000. I got a chance to practice my profession in 2004. Most of my co-teachers are MA holders and some of them were promoted to Principal and assistant Principal. My mother kept telling me to seek master’s degree in order to qualify in promotion and at the same time to raise my salary. At that time, I don’t really have the desire to be promoted because I was not confident to handle bigger responsibility in the school. There are other reasons why I didn’t pursue my master’s degree: 1. I wasn’t sure if teaching was really the desire of my heart. 2. My heart was telling me to get married and take care of my kids (hands-on). 3. I didn’t like the thesis part.

I do believe though that my future job is to teach especially now that I‘m here in the US, the land of great opportunities for teachers. In doing so, I have to update my knowledge in teaching by seeking master’s degree in Education. I’m interested in getting my degree in MAT through a prestigious online degree program offered by USC . I’m certain about online learning because it is also recommended by my sister who’s now learning through online study and she’ll be graduated in 8 months time. First Day of December

It’s good to embrace December with love and thanksgiving. I’m thankful to Anne a.k.a Byotipol for informing me that bigFish is available to grab. That was so good of her. So, I started my Holidays productively. My first day of December is tiring though because my 15months baby didn’t give me a break. She wanted my attention all day long. She didn’t let me sit in front of the PC to write those opps and so I’m here right now writing late at night. I’m not sure though if I could submit my pending tasks tonight because I have to think first what to write as I’m not good in rush posting.

What else did I do today? Well, aside from playing/holding/caring Arianna, I fetched Bienne from school at 3:20PM. I didn’t know that it’s freezing outside. My sweatshirt was not enough to warm me. I thought of going back home and get a jacket but I’ll be late so I just continue walking. I survived! But lesson learned: I shouldn’t play with the weather, I should be wearing the right outfit especially that winter is coming.

At night , we dressed up with red color outfit and had our family-portrait taken. It was fun taking our pictures together as family. We took about 12-pose and we’ll pick one that we like and send it to family and friends as our Christmas greeting card.

I have downloaded a total of 5,000 music, TV shows, and music videos that I’d love to watch and listen to. Most of the songs are free and the rest are music videos ( Alicia Keys, Beyonce, Black Eyed Peas, Carrie Underwood, Fabulous, Gwen Stefani, Jason Mraz,Jennifer Lopez, Jessica Simpson , Pink, Rihanna, Shakira and many more) and tv shows like Alias, Desperate Housewives, and Lost, and 1 movie (The Runaway) that I bought online. Having these cool music and videos on my ipod, made me so interested in listening to music. I often use my ipod when I’m exhausted or tired, when I’m traveling, or when I’m sleepy. Sometimes, I also use my ipod when I’m walking (exercising) or when I feel like dancing.

I prefer to use speaker instead of earphone especially when I’m home because wearing earphone is irritating sometimes. The speaker that I’m using for my ipod right now is not good though, yeah, very poor quality sound. But the good news is, I could change it to Yamaha PDX-60 - a wireless portable player dock with powerful speaker system . This high-end technology is made for ipod but also works with iphone. The best feature that I like most about this product is the capability to recharge the battery while the music is on.

It's Up ( xmas tree)

Our Christmas tree is up now at the corner of our living-room. We decided to buy a real Christmas tree because it’s our first time to celebrate Holidays here in the US so we want it to be special. We bought it from Peltzer farms in Temecula, Ca. First thing that I have noticed was the smell of the tree, it smells good. Before we picked the tree that we liked, we roamed around first and saw different varieties of Christmas tree : we have chosen the 8 and half feet high. We didn’t leave the place without taking some pictures. The kids enjoyed a lot , they played hide and seek while parents are deciding which tree to purchase.

When the delivery arrived home, we immediately put up the decors and Christmas lights. We used 80 pieces ( 50 balls, 18 snowflakes, 1 star, 11 candy canes) ornaments and 400 lights. Since we are using real Christmas tree, it’s our responsibly to turn off the lights before we go to bed to avoid fire.

I could smell the tree every night and I’m loving it. Smells like mint-sweet. I love staring on the tree day and night. We are having a family picture tomorrow in front of the decorated tree and send the cards to family/relatives and friends. Merry Christmas everyone!

TG its TG

We celebrated thanksgiving at MIL’s, after lunch we proceeded to FIL’s so, imagine how much food I ate for that day alone and not to mention the day after that (which is today), we brought some extra foods from MIL’s.

‘Twas our first thanksgiving here . Each one of us did our part : MIL cooked great meals such as roasted Turkey, stuffing, sweet potato with marshmallows, mashed potato, green beans and desserts. Bienne helped in preparing the ingredients and setting up the table. I just did the easy part, washing the kitchen utensils. Hubby had to work ( supervising the landscapers) but he came back before lunch . And we ate our thanksgiving meal.

At FILs, we ate the same types of food. It was fun: To celebrate TG with family and love ones.

Weekend Post

It’s 10 o’clock (PM) and I should be sleeping by now but I don’t want to leave this blog with a sponsored post (it’s a requirement to post a personal entry) … so I’m here typing with one-eye closed. We’ll be staying at FILs tomorrow till Sunday. Be back early Sunday to attend the service in our new found church. Our church-searching is over. I think we finally found the right church for us. This Sunday will be our second time and we’re excited to listen the Word of God again. The congregations are friendly to everyone and they call the church building as Sanctuary. It feels good to be inside the sanctuary - - - there are no kids or HS/Col students inside, only adults. There are respective buildings or rooms for every level : infant thru college. What I like about this church is that I know their songs, and I like the pastor the way he delivers the sermon. I could really understand him because he doesn’t talk fast and he really knows what he’s sharing.

November 2009 marked the 25th month of this blog. I couldn’t believe I have reached this far in blogging. In the beginning, I said I’ll just try this blogging thing and will stop when time comes that I have nothing more to share. Well, my concern was I don’t know how to write. I mean I’m very poor in English language that’s why I coudn’t believe I’m still here . I have tried improving my writing by reading book about it but still I couldn’t make it, to the point that my wordings are unacceptable. I’m still using carabao English up to this moment but I’m proud of it lol! All my topics here are based on my writing style, no matter how carabao they are as long as the words and phrases are came from my way of thinking, and as long as I made you laugh then I’m fine with that. So what really my reason why I just couldn’t stop blogging despite of my poor contents? Well - - - money. Period. I tend to compare my income from teaching (back in the Philippine) and blogging. The difference is way further . That’s why, that’s why , that’s why. Yeah, blogging rocks. I’m earning more from blogging than teaching. But hey, I’m not in the Philippines now, I’m spending dollars here. So what? The expenses ( prices) here and in the Philippines are pretty close (the clothes and food). So then, when should I stop blogging? Haha maybe when I’ll learn to stop comparing the income of both parties. But before I’ll continue my blogging journey, I got to go now and park the car in front of Barne and Noble to look for the best book about “Writing” .

Are you still in Friendster? Me, not anymore for about three weeks. I break my record by not logging-in for that long. Just so you know that I checked my friendster everyday without fail since 2005. So why don’t I check my friendster account now? For one reason : Friendster has virus. I knew it ’cause our laptop was infected twice after checking FS. Good thing we have anti virus given to us by Bank of America for free. The laptop was fixed.

I don’t know how many PC were infected by FS alone. Imagine how many members of FS all around the world especially Filipinos. Yeah, FS is popular to Filipinos. I hope that FS will get back to what it is used to be because I still like FS after all. Fine, Facebook rocks! Ehehe! Until when?

I slept late last night but woke up late also. I had at least 7 hours of sleep, not bad. The only reason why I slept late was I finished my tasks online but I was so disappointed with one of the opps worth $15. I already made an entry for that but heck I couldn’t submit it! The blog dropdown is missing. I sent a ticket to customer love to enlighten me with this opp. It was not a hard opp to do but thinking of the price, it’s worth two meals ehehe! I’m still waiting for that issue to resolve. When I woke up this morning I noticed that the same opp was available but you have to wait for a slot. They changed the opp number which is really strange. Scare - Mad

Early this morning, I went upstairs to wake up Bienne. When I reached her room I saw her fixing her bed and so, just stand up close to the door and waiting for her to finish. I didn’t make any noise, I was there just standing wearing my long-red comfort robe. When she turned her head facing the door (she was ready to come down) she was frightened seeing me standing her door, she shouted waaahaa and jumped at the same time! Her reaction made me laughed out loud . I know it wasn’t funny but I couldn’t control myself not to laugh. And she hugged me said “ Mommy you scared me”. She thought I was a monster and I told her there’s no monster, if you see people beside you without your knowledge, always remember that it’s just mommy or daddy.

Late this afternoon, I was really mad to Bienne for about 30 seconds. I know she’s a good kid but she has a time sometime that really pissed me off. I told her twice that she has to move the placemat far enough that Arianna couldn’t reach it. She had a cup of chocolate-milk drink and a bowl of noodles on the placemat. And suddenly, I heard a sound fell on the carpet! It was a chocolate-milk spilled on the carpet. I was so mad and threw her some words that she deserved. And I turned off the TV- she’s grounded to today from watching TV.

Bday Eyeball

Sharing with you the picture of get-together with other Filipinas I met during the first birthday of Stephanie (Vilma’s daughter) held at ChuckECheese, Murrieta Cali on Saturday Nov 14. The location was perfect for a birthday party because the kids really enjoyed the games inside the store. Bienne spent 2cups of token but in return she got some prices from the tickets.

I’m glad I met a group of Filipina ( Vilma, Jean and Kath ), but since it was my first time meeting them, I felt so out of place , thanks my husband and kids were with me and so I enjoyed as well by playing with them. The host (Vilma) was so kind though . In fact, she was the only Tagalog Filipina that I have met na buutan (mabait) kaau. Well, I’m looking forward to meet them again. Don’t know when.

Generational Equity Complaints Are Premature

Do you belong to younger generations? I do. Don’t you? If you do belong, would you agree to pay for a healthcare on the benefit of older generations, let’s say your parents or grandparents? For me, I’m willing to pay with no complaints because without older generations, younger generations don’t exist. Meaning, we owe our lives to them so have to support the generational equity welfare of the oldies. Don’t you agree? Oh well, this generational equity complaints are premature. I think they complaint too early without thinking the outcome. What would be the outcome? To hurt the feeling of older generation. Beside, this set-up might only be temporary due to economic crisis
