McLaughlin Calls Obama 'Oreo'

Commentator John McLaughlin used the term "Oreo" in reference to Sen. Barack Obama on his TV show over the weekend.

McLaughlin, host of "The McLaughlin Group," was discussing Obama's relationship with the Rev. Jesse Jackson, in the aftermath of Jackson stating that Obama has been condescending toward black people.

“Does it frost Jackson, Jesse Jackson, that someone like Obama, who fits the stereotype blacks once labeled as an Oreo — a black on the outside, a white on the inside — that an Oreo should be the beneficiary of the long civil rights struggle which Jesse Jackson spent his lifetime fighting for,” McLaughlin asked.

Panelist Peter Beinart said such a description of Obama was "completely unfair." Fellow panelist Michelle Bernard said: "If Barack Obama is an Oreo, then every member of this generation of African-Americans is an Oreo, because we stand on the shoulders of the people who fought for our rights, and all of us say that you cannot blame 'the man' or white racism for everything that ails the black community."

Tony Snow: RIP See You In Heaven

Here's to a journalist who had the integrity to be real and honest. Many of us have watched Fox News Sunday since the beginning, and remember the friendly manner Tony Snow displayed, whether he agreed with his guests, or not.

Now what some people may not realize is this: Tony Snow was a man of faith. He lived his faith out publicly by always trying to be a gentleman, even if he disagreed with the guest. Prior to Fox's launching of Fox News Sunday, I had the opportunity to hear my former radio colleague Jane Chastain interview Tony Snow on the happenings of the Clinton White House. While Snow disagreed with the policies and the antics of the Clintons, he would report the things he saw while covering his Washington beat with class and respect. Snow had the fear of God instilled within him, and knew that when the time came for him to meet his maker (July 11, 2008), he would be rewarded for his deeds, and how he treated everyone he encountered while on this earth.

So Tony: well done faithful servant! Enter into the Glory of God's presence and His joy! Rest in His Peace my good brother, and we will all see you when our times come! See you again !

Chopping Nuts (Jesse Jackson)

Talk about politics...Jesse has done it again! I know you all heard it, and seen the video, so I won't repeat it. But before I go further, I want to acknowledge the response from Reverend Al Sharpton; at least he had the guts to say something when asked about it. He looked so uncomfortable when asked about Jesse's remark, but at least he had a respectable response. Also, Junior had the guts to speak out against what his father said. So to Al and Jessie Junior: Kudos!

Now what really disturbs me is this: Where Are The Rest Of The African American Civil Rights Leaders? Why haven't they spoken out about Jackson's comments about Obama? Where are you Earl Ofari Hutchinson? Why haven't you said a peep about it? Funny how these folks start yelling and screaming about that Kelly girl who made a joke around Tiger Woods, and how the leaders said she should be punished, even though she cleared the air with Tiger? How about those who condemned radio host Don Imus for his remarks, the same folks who went after that Kelly girl? How about the ones who are saying that those kids who pulled a prank with the Charter Oaks High School Yearbook should be prosecuted and sent to prison for a long time because they allegedly committed a "Hate Crime"?

How about it Earl, if you have the guts to read this blog? Are you giving Jesse a free pass because he's black and part of the community? Why haven't you gone after your own? Why are you bullying a bunch of high school kids who made a bad decision, and not going after Jesse for wanting to cut off Obama's nar nars? Don't forget that Obama is also part white.

Is Earl Ofari Hutchinson, by staying quiet, giving Jesse the nod to make a crude remark because Obama is part white? Or is Earl just being a big chicken about speaking out?

Chop Chop Earl!

For those of you who are wondering who Earl Ofari Hutchinson is, he is a writer, and a self proclaimed civil rights leader in the Los Angeles California area. He is known to be a loud mouth civil rights activist, and one of his last rants was about prosecuting a bunch of high school yearbook kids who made a bad judgment about swapping out some names on a page in a yearbook. Yes it was a bad joke, but Hutchinson stuck his nose into something that was none of his business. He has been noticeably absent in light of the nut chopping remark made by "Reverend Jesse".

It's been a few weeks since I last posted any scripture on this site. I have been through a bit of a dry spell to figure out what to post for the site. With the crazy politicking going on in the nation, I do admit I did write one wacky post. I heard a few of you readers have seen the post and got a laugh or two out of it; yet I must be careful to not cross the line, at least not too often. Hopefully, I'll have a few more scriptures to post quickly this week. I hope this one helps!

We are facing, as a nation, an attack on marriage and the family. In California, we have had our will to keep marriage between a man and a woman usurped by the radical homosexual community through the California Supreme Court, and other states are starting to follow suit. This is one of the last things to give way in society before it faces severe judgments by God Almighty. We are facing a storm of epic proportions in which we will not be able to easily survive. We still have a chance to turn things around, but we must be active socially to instill changing back to doing the right thing.

Jimmy Carter - Enemy Of Israel

I had the opportunity to attend a special event on May 17 2008 in Chino Hills, California. I got to hear 2 speakers at this event: Retired Israeli General Shimon Erem, and former Palestinean Terrorist Walid Shoebat, both speaking on Israel and its miraculous rise from the long hiatus it had for almost 2000 years.

Now what I learned from this is the fact that former United States President Jimmy Carter is literally an enemy of Israel. Now this is serious, and he has done so much damage to the United States and Israel by going off to the Middle East, and literally making back door deals with the terrorists, and selling the United States down the drain. General Erem went over a laundry list of Carter's activities which lead the U.S. into a heap of trouble which could have been avoided, had he listened to the authorities, and stayed away. I will be attending another event this week, and hopefully get more information about this. out.

(Genesis 12:1-3)

I got this email from Dr. Jeff Johnson and his wife Louise from Israel Today Ministries, regarding the State of Israel - the 60 year anniversary (May 14, 1948 - May 14, 2008). The scripture was included at the beginning of the email. Here is the rest of the email, and as a reminder, I do have a link for Israel Today Ministries.

Problem With The Jews:

Those who have a problem with and dislike the Jew have a difficult time with the Abrahamic Covenant (Genesis 12:1-3). This covenant is an everlasting covenant with a people. You can see the evidence of the covenant throughout Scripture. Through the descendants of Abraham came the prophets, priests, kings, most of the writers of Holy Writ, the apostles and ultimately the Messiah. Gentiles were grafted into the inheritance through the Messiah.

To the Gentiles, God sent Jewish missionaries to proclaim the good news, whether it was Jonah to Nineveh, or the disciples to the home of Cornelius, or Phillip to the Ethiopian eunuch. To the world, God sent a carpenter from Nazareth. During the "time of Jacob's Trouble", or the "Tribulation" God will once again send Jewish evangelists into the world.

Testimonial that God Exists

Approximately four thousand years, the Jews have worshiped the One God who is the Creator of the Universe. The Jews have outlasted any empire or civilization. The Jews are testimonial that God exists. They are back in their land after over two millennium being dispersed into the world.

Satan & Miracles

Why the constant attack against the Jew? Simply, and yet profoundly, if Satan could wipe out the Jew, God's Word would become null and void. All that Christians and Jews believe would become ancient information about an extinct people. Who would believe in a God who couldn't keep His promises? The Abrahamic Covenant is an everlasting covenant with the Jewish people. Therefore, God will see it through to completion. God is a God of miracles.

It Is True

The prophets stated that in the context of the End of Days, before Messiah comes, Israel would be restored (Amos 9; Ezekiel 36,37; Jeremiah 31, etc.). On May 14, 1948, David Ben-Gurion porclaimed the establishment of the State of Israel. God's Word is true!

This is a reminder that God and His Son, Jesus, keeps an eye out for all of us who dare to follow God's truth and His ways. God never leaves us alone, and will always call out our name when we wander away from Him, and start sinning again. God is faithful, and leads us in the direction He wants us to go. He never forces us to do anything that we are uncomfortable doing, and he keeps on calling us out, away from sin. Sometimes we wonder if we are doing what he wants us to do; however, we must remember that we don't see things the same way He sees things. We are small; He is Big!

Jimmy Carter and Hamas...More Than A Blunder!

As you are all aware of the news this past week, you know that Former President Jimmy Carter has gone off to attempt on working out an alleged peace plan with Hamas, a terrorist organization in the Middle East. From past history, we know that Carter is not the brightest bulb when it comes to the Middle East! He has not only embarrassed the United States, but he has endangered us as a nation by trying to negotiate an appeasement with Hamas. Any time a nation tries to negotiate an appeasement which is not in the best interest of Israel, the nation which does so ends up suffering catastrophic disasters. Also, any nation which participates in it suffers along with the offending nation harshly. The State Department specifically warned Carter not to do such a thing, but Carter stubbornly refused to heed their orders, and went out, then lied that he even got a warning from them. Perhaps the verses I believe that I got prompted with were for this matter, as a part of the bigger scene.

This morning, when I woke up, I thought I sensed a prompting to post the first chapter of Joel. It is no coincidence that it's the day after the Pennsylvanian elections, and just days before Reign Down USA. Something is up, and it's time to pray seriously folks!

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has finally caved in to the Log Cabin Republican group...the "gay republicans". Schwarzenegger has been under pressure from the far left wing Gay and Lesbian groups to cave in to their special interests, and has finally agreed to support their highly militant anti heterosexual-pro gay marriage bills. Schwarzenegger's weak excuse was that the Republicans did not allow for diversity in the party, and that something must change. Time to send him this message: Hasta La Vista Baby!

They will be a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck. My son, if sinners entice you, do not give into them. If they say "Come along with us; let's lie in wait for someone's blood, let's waylay some harmless soul; let's swallow them alive, like the grave, and whole, like those who go down to the pit; we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder; throw in your lot with us, and we will share a common purse" - my son, do not go along with them, do not set foot on their paths; for their feet rush into sin, they are swift to shed blood. How useless to spread a net in full view of all the birds! These men lie in wait for their own blood; they waylay only themselves! Such is the end of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the lives of those who get it.

Recently, I had gotten an email from one of the Crawford Broadcasting Company engineers regarding the huge number of copper theft incidents going on nationwide. I emailed the engineers about the fact that someone will sooner or later end up electrocuting himself and get cooked in the burglary beyond recognition; in other words, the thief will end up looking like roadkill. Well, that happened on the morning of March 31, 2008, when some thief broke into an industrial building in El Monte California. This guy broke in early morning to steal the copper wires from the electrical box; however, this guy got cocky, and apparently did not turn off the electrical circuits. Needless to say, he shocked himself to death, and set the building on fire. This thief had gotten burned beyond recognition, and the authorities said that they couldn't even use any dental records to identify him. He got cooked beyond recognition!!! Let this be a lesson for anyone who is thinking about doing something evil...it has a way of catching up to you in some of the strangest ways! Imagine what he had to say when he went into God's presence right after he attempted to burglarize that business. If I died while committing a sin, I'd certainly be afraid of what I would be answering to!

John 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends."

This is a starter to remember what life is about: God cares for every person living on this earth. We have all committed acts which are called sin; the deeds are things we may wish we have not done to others, or they could be things that we wouldn't want the world to know. We inherited this problem from birth; the very first man and woman committed an act of evil in God's sight, and as a result, we have this bend in our nature to do things we know we should not do. If you read the first 3 chapters of Genesis, you will see the setting which leads to the downfall of humanity, and this problem to this day has not gone away, and will not until God brings Jesus Christ back for a second time. God warned Adam and his wife to not eat from a certain tree in the Garden of Eden (now believed to be part of an area in Iraq or Iran, the Persian Gulf...the hint is this: look for a geographical area where these 4 rivers meet: the Pishon River, the Gihon River, the Tigris River, and the Euphrates River. This is the area where the Garden of Eden once was (Read Genesis 2; the description is in there - Genesis 2 verses 10-14). The garden no longer exists; it was destroyed in a world wide flood (the cause of the polar ice caps). The remnants of the garden are now the sources of oil fields in the Middle East...laws of physics dictate that when things are crushed with great force, it will turn it into oil.

I can take all kinds of remarks, so to me, it doesn't matter if you agree with me or not. Just one thing I won't tolerate: profanity - I am trying to keep this a blog that everyone can read, whether the person agrees or not. 2) We Love Gail is a site dedicated to the memory of my dear friend Pastor Gail Yoshimine. She lived with lupus for 11 years before passing away in 2007. She, her husband Jon and son Devon affected the lives of many folks in Half Moon Bay California.

3) Jane Chastain Politically Direct is a political commentary site that my old radio colleague Jane Chastain started. Jane tells things as it is, and minces no words to cut to the chase to expose the foolish moves that some politicians do to destroy the United States. I worked with her for 2 years before she left for another radio station. Those who don't like her are usually very liberal, and often resort to name calling because they can't find any sane piece of evidence to refute her point.

4) Cristy Li is another political commentator who tells it like it is. She exposes the crazy ideas of people in the public who do foolish things that are not good for society, and she sometimes uses humor to point things out. I have never met her personally, but I first came across her blog on My Fox LA, then learned of her personal blog site apart from My Fox LA.

5) My Fox LA is a media site that I often blog on under the name mystere. Many of the bloggers are sensible folks who have diverse points of view. Whether I agree with them or not, I value free speech, and support this site. If you sign up as a user, you can also access other MyFox sites with your blogger name and password. I've also been on MyFoxCleveland and MyFoxPhilly quite often. I consider this site worthy of a link from this blog.

If any of you are musicians or worship leaders, I will have some links of businesses that I consider worthy for you to link up to. There is someone I know who is working on a new business for musicians, and as soon as he gets it going, I will have a link to the site.

I'm posting this as I get ready to launch this blog off. I'm adding new features to this blog, so if you have come across this blog, and are wondering what it's all about, don't worry, this is in the pre launch stage. I blog regularly on the MyFox sites as mystere, so if you've seen my blogs and replies to other folks's blogs on MyFox, you'll be seeing even more ot these types, at least from what you see on the political topics. I will have more faith blogs on this site to help encourage you readers, and as I figure out how to link other bloggers' sites to mine, I will do so.
