LOL! I've finally made a purchase at my very most favorite online clothing shop! I bought a skirt from Soul-Flower.com!

I absolutely love it! I really wanted to buy a tshirt and a purse and a backpack and some stickers and a tapestry, too. But hey, I'm not made of money! I've definitely got the other items in my wish list. And you wouldn't even guess what! They've added two new skirts just since I bought this one that I really, really like! Well, one of them is knee length, though. And I don't think I'm ready for a knee-length skirt. You never know, in a few months I might be.

I've hit another plateau in my weight-loss journey, but, I've hit several through the course of the year, so I'm not letting it freak me out. I know that, eventually, I will get past it.

One of the main reasons I hadn't bought anything from Soul-Flower yet was that I didn't fit into any of their cool hippie threads.

Well, when I very first found them, they did have a plus-size section. It didn't have a whole lot in it, but, at the time I didn't have the money to spend. Then when I did have some extra dough, they had taken that section away. I guess they just didn't get enough business to keep it up. Which is funny, because, there are so many 'fat hippie' jokes. Or 'fat vegetarian' jokes. Hmm...

Oh well, now I not only fit in their clothes (YEA!!!) but, my awesome new patchwork skirt is actually way too big for me. Too funny! So if the next size down fits me, according to them I'm already a 12-14 - I like the sound of that!

Women's clothing is so funny that way, though - I am a whole size different between Lee's and Levi's right now. And let's just say that Lee's are my favorite jeans right now! So there - Levi's are in the doghouse - LOL!

Ok, I need to stop blabbing and let you see the durn video already, but, in the video I promised to tell you the name of the skirt - it is the Cali Q Patch Cargo Skirt.

P.S. And a little birdy told me that they're working on the new Soul-Flower catalog, too! I can't wait to see it!

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-60625275976741412392009-03-06T11:05:00.000-08:002009-03-06T11:25:59.472-08:00Tilt Shift MakerI stumbled across this really cool thing today and I don't want to lose track of it so I'm posting it here:

It's called Tilt Shift Maker and it makes tilt shift photography out of your submitted photos, which is super great, because, apparently - doing it yourself is hard to understand - and even harder to do!

And dude. Does their logo match my site but great, or what??

Here's a great example of a tilt shift photo:

I wanted to post about this after I'd done one of my own photos in their software, but, I was picking the wrong kind of photos and it wasn't working very well. So I'm going to keep playing with it, because, I think it's really cool. It would be awesome if I could find a great picture of our high school marching band to tilt shift!

Oh! The site on which I learned about this had a tilt shift VIDEO of a monster truck rally - it was really cool! If I run across it again, I'll definitely post it. To tell the truth, when we did a walk-through a few months before we moved in, the whole house felt damp. It is either better from being lived in and the doors and windows opening and closing, or (eeps!) I've gotten used to it from being here for two years. The basement, however, still feels cold and damp to me. I've expressed my fears to Mark about mold and the dampness down there, and he thinks it is just fine. Having never had a basement, I am not sure if that is just how they all feel all the time.

Even if we did discover that there was a problem down there, I have no idea how an issue like that would be tackled. I mean, would it be some major construction job to fix it? I thought it might be, but, then, I was reading Oprah's site last week and came across the answer. I was looking for a different story, but, I happened upon one with Dr. Mehmet Oz. Let me tell you, I just love this guy! I have both of his books with Dr. Roizen and I just love Dr. Oz's style! Love it! And he was talking about keeping your house healthy. And he said that if your basement smells, then you do have a problem and you need a dehumidifier. Well - now how about that? I shudder to admit I don't think I've ever really heard of dehumidifiers. We have lots of history with humidifiers. I've got a son with chronic nosebleeds and that is just about the only thing that helps.

As soon as I saw that, I knew we must have a problem. Our basement doesn't smell horrible or anything, but, to someone with a bionic nose like mine - there is a bit of a damp odor down there. No one else has ever noticed it, though. I usually smell things long before the family does, however! Like the gas leaks in TWO different houses - that my husband blamed on postpartum hormones - both times. And he was wrong - both times. Ha! He says that I should work for the FBI with my damn nose! That's for sure!

So I haven't brought it up with him just yet, but, I have been doing a little reading about dehumidifiers. I'm learning a lot about them, like how you might need to have some kind of hose connection to empty the bucket. And if your room that it will be going in is fairly large, you will need a large capacity one. The large ones will obviously be a lot heavier, so that is why a hose would make it so much easier for draining. It wouldn't matter so much with the smaller ones, that are just for bathrooms and such. Our basement is just one, big, wide-open room, so we would definitely need a big one.

Another thing you need to consider is where you will have the dehumidifier, because, you might need a quieter one if it is going to be in earshot of any bedrooms. All of our bedrooms are over the basement, but, for some odd reason, the noise from down there is loudest in our master bedroom. Mark will go down there on schoolnights when the kids and I are in bed and watch his shoot 'em up action movies and drive me crazy! So yeah, I'd want to find a very quiet dehumidifier. Who knows, though, maybe it could act as white noise against those movies! Nah, that wouldn't work - Mark would have to turn the movies up even louder to hear! Ok, so I would want a very quiet one!

The only problem is that I don't know if I could ever convince my husband that this is really necessary. You know how guys are when it comes to accepting new ideas or new concepts that they hear from their wives. The best thing to happen would be that one of his buddies decides that this is a great idea for their house, and then shares that information with Mark!

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-67619246421464274192008-06-22T12:27:00.000-07:002008-06-22T12:49:38.369-07:00Should The Veterinarian 'Dip'?We finally got to take my sweet boy - the one on the magazine cover over there - to the doctor for his ear infection. The veterinarian was a really nice guy. The place was sort of run-down, but, his prices are much lower than the vets with the fancy building. Hmm... fancy building - high prices, regular, ordinary, in need of a little repair, sorta like most of the houses we live in building - lower prices. We picked the smarter choice.

The man obviously cares about the animals, that was totally apparent. He worked with us to try to make sure we understood all that he was telling us. He even went so far as to help us clean out Puppy's ears, which took quite a while and made quite a mess - water and soap and such flung everywhere by my sweet boy. LOL

He quizzed me repeatedly to make sure I understood the course of treatment - a little nerve-wracking, as he was giving us a lot of information, but, very thorough and caring of him to do.

So we like the guy, right? You get that, right? Ok.

Well, it was a super casual atmosphere, I hope I've conveyed that. One in which Mark and I are very comfortable. Here's the thing, though. The guy had a dip in his mouth. And he would spit in the trash cans.

Did he take 'casual' too far? Or is this par for the course with small town country doctors? Do you think there would be some kind of health-code violation? I mean, of course, he wouldn't do so in surgery. And we were just cleaning out the dog's ears. What do you think?

I'm undecided. It definitely put us on a more peer-to-peer relationship, which I think was great, considering so many docs and vets are on 'I am God trips'.

But did he go too far? Hmm...

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-44167137028802256462008-06-17T09:54:00.001-07:002008-06-24T07:41:25.050-07:00Watching TV online - woohoo!Just go here: http://www.surfthechannel.com/show/television/Weeds.html

http://www.hulu.com/watch/23816/raising-arizona

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-52756844897467023622008-06-03T16:02:00.000-07:002008-06-03T16:18:39.966-07:00The Ugliest Mailbox in TownI really did think we had the ugliest mailbox in town. I'm serious - this thing is bad. Our house was built in 1961, and I'm telling you, this has to be the original mailbox! It is pitiful - utterly pitiful. Someone has rigged it up with a steel pole next to the original pole, to strengthen its rusty self. The two poles are tied together with some metal wire. And then, I just noticed recently that part of it is actually held together with twist ties! Twist ties! You know, the kind that come on your bread bags! And God bless him, but, the name on the side of the mailbox - he's been passed away for EIGHT YEARS! Crazy, huh?

So I'm always making fun of and joking around about our mailbox, positive that we must have the ugliest mailbox in town. The other day, however, we were driving around town - and my daughter yells out from the backseat, "Look, Mom! Their mailbox is uglier than ours!" And I excitedly replied, "Well, look at that - it sure is! Ha! What do you know about that?" Haha! And since then I've seen a few more super ugly mailboxes.

I came up with a great plan to start photographing all of the ugliest, most rickety mailboxes we come across. Well, now - wouldn't that be a collection? I've really no idea what I'd do with such a collection, but, it sounded like a good idea... uh... yeah.

As you can imagine, then, my eyes are always peeled for the perfect mail box. There was a time I really liked the plastic ones - the ones that sort of resembled the children's backyard play structures. A lot of them were actually made by the same company. I can't remember the name of it now. I've grown weary of that style, though. I'm not really sure exactly what kind I want.

My uncle had an awesome one once, years ago, that was an exact replica of his house. That thing was so cool! He had to replace it rather quickly - I can't remember if kids kept messing with it, or if it was just too fragile. The thing was amazing, though! I wish I had a picture of it - I guess I could ask my cousins if they do.

The only thing that I'm sure about is that I want a mailbox that is rather large - on the inside. I get so sick of things being curled up and smashed to fit in my mailbox! That drives me crazy! I don't want it to be so huge that it looks like a commercial mailbox - that would be really ugly.

The real bummer of the deal is that my husband is not at all concerned with this issue - while it's been on my mind for quite some time. It's just a total non-issue for him. I hope that changes before too long. I'd love to have an adorable, aesthetically-pleasing mailbox out front, in which I could maybe plant some flowers. Have you seen those kind? They are so cool!

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-34969088254168207652008-06-03T13:30:00.000-07:002008-06-04T15:14:19.002-07:0027,000 Dead Cats and Dogs Every Year!
*UPDATE* Holy crap, people! Many of the people who work in the area shelters were interviewed and they talked about trash bag after trash bag after trash bag of animal carcasses that they constantly dealt with - a sobering piece, for sure!

Dallas Animal Advocates, a joint initiative between Companions for Life and Metroplex Animal Coalition, are a group of volunteers working tirelessly to make changes for our beloved furry family members in the Dallas area.

One of the things they are working on right now is getting a petition filled up with lots and lots of signatures, in an effort to encourage the Dallas City Council to approve the Animal Shelter Commission's proposed mandatory spay/neuter - breeder registration ordinance. I'm gonna sign it (as soon as I figure out my care2 password), and I'm in Alabama (though I'm from Dallas) and I've seen plenty of other states represented on the petition. There is even a signature from Canada.

So I would love it if you would go and sign the petition, too! Just go here: Dallas City Spay/Neuter Ordinance to sign the petition - pretty please!! And send your family and friends there, too! Let's help stop the needless killing of these precious animals!

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-56399840069112951542008-06-03T11:41:00.000-07:002008-06-03T12:17:38.704-07:00Now I Need to Shop for Father's DayThis time of the year feels like a long, drawn-out Christmas or something - we have so many gift-buying occasions in this family from April through July - it's not even funny! Right now my focus is on Father's Day and what to get for my father and my husband. I had decided on a box of brownies for my father, from this wonderful company in Huntsville, AL - since that's what I got my mom. And the kids and I had decided on this cool thermometer for the grill for Mark. And then the kids changed their mind on the thermometer, and just today I'm thinking maybe I'll do something different for my dad. Heh. I guess we gotta make things difficult! ;)

And I'm getting all of these emails - No Shipping for Father's Day, 20% Off for Father's Day, etc, etc... I was thinking, however, that I might look at clothing stores. I don't know - Mark and my dad are probably two of the, no - they definitely are - the hardest people for me to shop for. Actually, I think my dad has gotten a lot easier - hmm, that's weird - but, Mark is still a tough one.

There is a very helpful guide for buying men's clothing online at ShopWiki. It's almost like taking a guy with you into a store to help you pick something out for another guy. And it's all divided up by categories, with a little helpful tidbit about each category underneath it, like this one:

Sunglasses can make you look really cool, or really dorky.

Haha! I love that - that they're not all stuffy. It really does make it seem like someone is there helping you shop!

Mark is completely obsessed with watches right now, more specifically, watches that wind themselves. That might definitely be an option - although, I might be nervous picking one out, because, he is so picky. See? There's that 'hard to shop for' thing, rearing its ugly head, gnashing its terrible teeth! I am sure, though, that if it was a gift from the kids and myself, he would love it, even if he does like to pick out his own watches.

My dad used to love these pageboy hats, and I always thought he looked so good in them. I wonder if he'd be interested in them again. I am having trouble finding any brown ones, though, and I know that would be the color he'd want - anywhere from brown to tan, probably.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do for either of them...it's kind of fun shopping for them, though. Hey - how'd that happen? LOL Maybe it's all the funny commentary on the ShopWiki site. Anyway, I'm not quite decided yet, and I'm not exactly sure how much I'm going to have to spend. So I'll just keep looking around. There's so much information on ShopWiki that I could look for days and not see it all.

If you're searching for Father's Day gifts, too - good luck with your search! Onward! Shop!

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-86376594041591079212008-06-03T11:20:00.000-07:002008-06-03T11:32:59.567-07:00Summer's here! Yea!Summer is finally here! I'm so excited - I love summer! Even though I totally, completely bitch about the heat - I just love it! And even though I totally, completely bitch about the kids being underfoot, I love having them here!

We got off to a bit of a rocky start, with the boys fighting like mad the first 'official' day of summer - last Friday. And they were both, of course, mad at me all day - because, I never handle their fighting and whining and complaining to their liking. Well, guess what? TOO BAD! Ha! How's that? I'm so sick of their being mortal enemies. I actually had the thought the other day that it would be cool to send them to a Outward Bound type of thing, so they could LEARN to rely on each other - maybe even experience a few dangerous moments, and realize how much they each mean to each other. Maybe if your brother is about to fall off a cliff - just maybe - you might realize you love him! Gah!!

Well, then we had a nice enough weekend together. We went to Music at McClellan on Saturday night to help the boys earn money for their band expenses. That's a really fun event, and even though the kids are working their butts off - they have a blast! So that was cool.

On Sunday, we hung out together, playing games and such, then went to the park, and then went out to dinner. When we came home from dinner and got out of the car - I heard THEM! Woohoo! "Sammie! Listen!!!" I was so excited - it was my first time this year hearing them - the 'summer bugs'!! Locusts, crickets, tree frogs - whatever else is up there in those HUGE trees around our house. Love, love, love that sound.

Yesterday was kinda rotten, as I was feeling horrible - woke up with a TERRIBLE crick in my neck, shoulder, AND back - it hurt so badly! And my tummy was acting up, to boot! So yesterday was a bummer.

Then today, I woke up feeling the pain in my shoulder again - totally bummed, because, I'd thought it was getting so much better. I took some medicine for it and got to work, going through emails, taking care of blogs, etc. And then suddenly, an hour ago - I realized - it's gone. The pain is gone. Woohoo! It's not completely gone - but, enough to make me feel normal - and for me to skip around (figuratively - don't wanna set the migraine off...) happily celebrating, "It's summer, it's summer - the kids are home!"

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-53878914073149055222008-05-29T06:02:00.000-07:002008-05-29T06:34:12.311-07:00IZEAFest - will I be able to go?I'm really not sure if I'm going to be able to pull it off or not, but, just in case, I'm gathering all the information that I can. I want to know (as close to) exactly how much everything will cost, so that I can really figure out if I can go or if there is just no possible way.

IZEAFest happens in Orlando, Florida from September 11-13, and I think it is going to be a TON of fun! I know my friends that went to PostieCon, as the conference was called last year, had a REAL blast!! And it would be great to - NO - WONDERFUL, to meet face to face other people like me who obsessively stay on their computers - that alone would be priceless!

I've been looking into the various hotels in area, to see how much they'd cost. I just love the internet, ya'll. You used to have to get on the phone and call each hotel and ask a million questions, just to get the information you needed. Then the internet came around, and at first, you had to go online and check out each hotel's website to see how much they cost and what all they provided. Now, however - there are websites that gather all of that information for you. However did we function before this thing called 'internet' came around? Ha!

The first one I'm looking at is Hotels Combined. On their site, I enter check in date and check out date, number of guests and rooms, and the city - and it does a search for me based on those criteria. It comes back with a list of 327 possible hotels, but, also - more search parameters, so that I can dig deeper. I like the way the search results are laid out, though. They are each boxed off, and easy to read, with a little picture of the hotel, and user ratings, and 1-5 smileys for reviews. And most importantly, the price is clearly and boldly marked. There is a Holiday Inn for $80 or $89/night. If I got three other people to share the room with, that is not bad at all. I would just need to find out how far that is to the convention, as that could be an issue.

Oh darnitall! That is eighteen miles away from the conference - that would definitely be too far. Ok, back to the drawing board! I'm definitely going to keep digging around and try to figure all of this out. I think I'm going to also look on Expedia.com and there is a new one that I haven't yet heard of, TripAdvisor.com. Well, ok, it might not be new, but, I haven't heard of it before. Oh yeah, it's definitely not new - SEO for Firefox tells me it was created in 2000! Duh me! Anyway, I'm going to keep looking and see if I can make this happen.

I think the most expensive part is actually going to be getting there and food. And I do actually know that quite a few Punkymoms live in Orlando - so who knows...

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-80403864048429367062008-05-29T04:47:00.001-07:002008-05-29T04:59:08.289-07:00I Love May a.k.a. 'Spoil Lisa Month'I've had so much fun with all of my spoiling this month! Every year, I swear, when May 1st hits, I get excited butterflies in my stomach! "It's my month, it's my month - hey kids! It's my month today!" They always look at me kinda strange, but hey - that's normal, right? Ha!

I suppose I should back up a bit and tell you exactly why I consider May to be my month! First, there is, of course, Mother's Day - and then not too long after that comes my birthday - and just days after that comes my wedding anniversary! See - so do you know what that spells? Lots of gifts for Lisa! ;)

We had my big family party last weekend - aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmas, mothers-in-law - well, to be fair - they are all in-laws. The only blood relatives I have in Alabama are my children, well, and Puppy! ;) Haha!

But you can see here, that even they spoiled me - all them in-law types! Haha! Like my Alabama grammar? Hey - I'm catchin' on purdy quick like!

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-69596844678512740782008-05-25T10:08:00.000-07:002008-05-25T10:27:24.301-07:00Groovy Sunglasses the Kids Would LoveCheck these out - I think the kids would absolutely love these funky sunglasess! They are shutter sunglasses, which are totally weird, but, I just bet the kids would dig 'em! And then add to it that the darn things glow! Yep - the kids would love them! I found them at ReplicaSunglasses4U.com, a site that sells all kinds of sunglasses, that are moderately priced, but, can be compared to some very nice, rather expensive brands. They also sell Wholesale Sunglasses.

I found a pair of gorgeous pink sunglasses (even the lenses!) that make me want to start wearing contacts again, so that I could buy those for myself! Who knows, though, my light skin tone might not look good in those - that could very well be a pair for a very tanned lady.

But there are so many oodles and oodles of glasses on their site, that I could surely find some for myself, if I did go back to contacts. The kids are in high school now, though, and have expressed interest in 'cool shades' recently. Shawn even begged a girl to let him wear hers the other day. It was during the school day, so I wasn't there - I hope they weren't all girly. Ha!

Man, they've got all kinds of cool sunglasses - the kids section is awesome, as is the novelty section! They even have hologram ones! And - guess what? I wouldn't even have to switch back to contacts - they have some 'fit over sunglasses' that would go over my glasses! That would be cool! I had some that came with my glasses - the little clip-on things, but, I didn't like them very much. It would be so much easier to just have a completely separate pair that fits right over my glasses!

Very cool!

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-90653672972578241132008-05-22T16:33:00.001-07:002008-05-25T10:35:01.984-07:00Happy Birthday to me!
This was my Happy Birthday email from Coca-Cola! Some of them I'd even forgotten about!

And then my Momma sent five - count 'em, FIVE - ecards!! They were sweet and funny and cute, and then the last one made me cry!

And then I also woke up to two jobs in my email - so my email did me right on my 38th birthday - cool!

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-42033749156206108532008-04-19T07:49:00.000-07:002008-04-19T08:46:07.067-07:00Just a Vacancy

Lisa don't live here ...anymooooore....

Come visit me here, folks: Hippie Spelunker

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-80925567371430986202008-04-15T07:42:00.000-07:002008-04-15T07:50:45.033-07:00Hello to my PayPerPost friends!Hello there! It is right next to my office. I won't be able to see it, though. Mark is going to build a wall between the two. He needs a wall on which to hang his giant television, you see. I guess he'll have to get some kind of plasma mount for it. And then our sweet little house will be so much more like a HOME, when the upstairs doesn't look like a house in the middle of a remodel!

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-84608998779757500782008-02-10T15:18:00.000-08:002008-02-10T15:20:13.661-08:00Backgammon rules, dude!BACKGAMMON

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-52588009517326043752008-01-18T15:38:00.000-08:002008-01-18T15:43:18.718-08:00Go to Hippie Spelunker - H2!Ya'll gotta get over to my new site, ok? I'm tired and my throat hurts and there are too many noisy children about to really concentrate...

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-30972114552172209272008-01-16T10:49:00.000-08:002008-01-16T11:08:18.128-08:00Pack up your stuff, guys - it's moving day!
Ok, my sweet Hippie Spelunker readers - this is it! I've made my decision! We're moving out! The time has come - it is bittersweet, indeed, but, it's time to face the facts. Free blogs will only get you so far. I hung on extra long, because, I do love blogger. (Even if the meanie Goog does own them now. Heh.)

I'm working on things today and I'm not entirely sure it will be done today, but, it is definitely in the works. And I don't know if when I import to WP - if everything disappears. I've done a blogger to WP import one other time, but, the blog was only about a week old. And it was several years ago. So I'm not even sure how this is all going to happen.

And I think I can maybe set up some kind of redirect for a while - I need to ask my friend, Cass, about that. I know she knows about those things.

I'm going to be super nice and make this super easy on you, because, I'm super cool like that. I'm going to make 'moving into our new house' so simple for you!

Here is the button you use if you want to move into Hippie Spelunker - H2 via feed reader:
Subscribe in a reader

Or, if you would rather move into our new digs via email, just enter your email address here:

Enter your email address:

Delivered by FeedBurner

Like I said, I'll try to get that redirect thing going, so I catch those of you who get this message late. Thinking out loud - 'Will they even get this message if they get here late? Things that make you say ... "Hmm..."' I have no idea what's going to happen once I hit that import button.

I'm excited, but nervous and sad, too. Ya'll wish me luck!! Eeeks!

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-15866524525305466942008-01-10T15:04:00.000-08:002008-01-10T15:39:39.986-08:00Flip That Lens on SquidooDo you Squidoo? I sure do - and I love it! And the rockin' chick who got me into it is a very cool marketer named Tiffany Dow. She wrote this really awesome ebook all about Squidoo, which teaches people all about how to make the most of Squidoo and how to be a valuable member of the community over there. That book is called, Social Networking on Squidoo. And with that book, I was hooked! Completely hooked!

Now, however, she's written another book about Squidoo. This time she is teaching us how to build great Squidoo lenses and sell them, or rather, flip them. Hence the name of the book, Flip That Lens. I am so excited about this new book! Tiffany has had great success flipping lenses - her teenage son has even flipped a few!

The really cool thing about Tiffany's ebooks is that she is such a great teacher. She really takes you through step-by-step what exactly you need to do. So often, I am reading an ebook and I get to a point where I don't know how to do something that the author is talking about and they are not explaining that crucial step. That totally does not happen with Tiffany - she never leaves you hanging. I just love the way she teaches!

Go check it out - you'll see what I'm talking about: Flip That Lens

Lisa Marie Maryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03506778706839256847noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25138617.post-77255380229856751122008-01-04T12:01:00.000-08:002008-01-04T12:19:33.514-08:00Hippie Spelunker - H2 - have you been?Well, have you? That's my new, super duper, self-hosted version - check it out!

Although a big part of me dearly loves it over here at Blogger, I had originally intended to get the new one up and running, and move away from Blogger completely.

And then I decided to stay here, too.

And then I decided to just import to over there and say goodbye to Blogger.

And then I decided to stay.

And as it stands now, I'm totally confused. Ha! So visit me in both places, ok?

At least 'til I get my head on straight, anyway...

What? You think that's not gonna happen?!
