Will announce it soon once I have done all the customization to the new blog. With new Url too... once that is done, I will not be blogging here anymore... So guys... wait patiently la...

Give me some time to blog about the UK trip ya... I'm that close to flying off to UK for my vacation...and then..the day before my birthday I fall sick. :( And I got slight fever on my birthday!

Thanks Xell and friends for celebrating my birthday at Neway. My nose was leaking like a damn useless water tap. Argh... I can't sing... I can't drink. baaah... geram.

Anyway... I had fun. :D I'll be flying off tomorrow. Probably no update on the blog at all till we're back. Unless we get internet connection in the UK. Will only be back on the 19th. And goddamit... I'm still sick. Coughing like crazy. Got stronger antibiotics from the doc which makes me feels so drowsy. My head is spinning... I can't work...

I hope I don't get send back to Malaysia by the custom!!! Other than ... Happy Birthday SnakeByte! Welcome back from your Egypt trip. Thank god you didn't fell down from the camel. And you... why didn't you spank the camels? Since we don't quite like camels for some reasons... You promised you will spank them for us if we don't like the camels!!! Did you burst the camels humps? whahahah...

Anyway... I am really looking forward to the 2 weeks vacation. Time flies huh. In 2 weeks time we're going to UK. And yes~~~ A break from work! Not like I am very busy at work anyway.. *paiseh* hahah.... And yes... Mr. Snake... we're finally seeing you after so long. And yes... we'll see more of each other when you're back to Malaysia. Be very afraid when we arrive in Belfast. hahaha...

And Endoru will be coming back to Malaysia as well. Looks like mid-May to mid-June will be slightly busy when I'm back. Yes... Endoru... we'll go eat ok? And yes Mr.Snake... we'll go sing K. Make sure we practice the songs we want to sing in the car on the way to Giant Causeway. Make sure Xell don't drive coz I don't want to end up in the Irish sea... I want to come back alive... wait... Unless I'm stuck in a maze. ahahahah...

Ok... enough nonscense/crap for now. tata~~~ Will update more when I'm in the mood.

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-88208356308100460122007-04-02T21:46:00.000+08:002007-04-03T22:35:39.060+08:00Wong Ah Wah (黄亚华) @ Jalan Alor

This shop have been around Jalan Alor for a very long time (I think!). But honestly, I haven't been to Jalan Alor until my bf brought me there lor. so paiseh... I am like born in KL....living in KL but I haven't been to Jalan Alor until last year. =_= And that was the first time I ate at Wong Ah Wah, my bf took me there. :) This is the second time I went there with my buddy WN.

There were only 2 of us... look at what we ordered :) Just looking at the pics make me hungry... *drools*

If you go there, you really need to order the bbq chicken wings. Actually not like it's SUPER nice or something, but it's good enough that you want to eat more! *drools* I so feel like eating chicken wings now...

And next up is Lala (clams). I really like Lala. WAW's lala might look spicy but actually for me it's not very spicy. Probably for Xell, this dish will send her flying man.. haha... It's really nice coz they actually sell you lala and not shells. I believe there are places where you ordered lala and all you get is a dish of shells and it's super expensive. Nothing much to eat...no meat or super tiny lala. This is totally not like this, you can see, there's actually meat that you can see and eat. yum yum....

And WN wanted to eat 'si ham' (cockles). Since I also love 'siham' of course must order lah! I usually eat those boiled ones, but of course spicy fried siham like this, I like it very much too! I think this dish is spicier than the lala. Taste really good you know... aiya..drooling again...

With so many spicy dish...of course we need some vegies. Unfortunately... vegie also no use. Spicy vegie. The vegie is call "fan shu yip' in canto...but I have no idea what it's called in English. hahahaha... Direct translation is call sweet potato leaves. haha... can someone tell me what it's called? Anyway...its sambal belacan fry vegies la. Not very spicy also. But good! I like it. haha...

The meal cost RM 30 in total inclusive of drinks. Not too expensive actually compared to all the other shops at Jalan Alor. I think it's really good price for the amount of food we ordered. If you want to go, WAW it's actually right at the end of Jalan Alor, next to all the car parks. :)

WN was having sore throat and on medication when she went WAW. She lost her voice the next day. haha... Luckily she recovered fully already. haha...

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-26528221182587647252007-03-26T22:55:00.000+08:002007-03-27T10:17:25.342+08:00Champions League Trophy @ The Curve

Ta-da! To all football fans out there! The champions league trophy was at The Curve last Saturday and Sunday! Have you miss getting up close and personal with the trophy? I didn't get to touch or take picture with the trophy. I was lucky enough to get a clear shot of the trophy coz there's people taking photos with the trophy constantly...

Wonder why I never get up close and personal with the trophy? Look at the pic below...

There's a blardy long queue to get to the trophy!!! Argh... and you know what? That's not all... To be able to BE in the queue...read... BE in the LONG queue, you need to be in another queue to win the pass to be in the long queue! Bah...I wouldn't want to waste my time queuing. I got my nice shot of the trophy :D

The event was organized by Heneiken. I think the trophy is going round the world? Not sure... And there's lots of signs saying that this event is open to all NON-Muslims and 18 years above. But trust me... there were plenty of Muslims there. Anyway... that's not the point...

Along on display are other stuff with player's signature on. I only posted up pictures on some of the stuff, not all. The super old Trophy was on display too and some other player's boots etc...

Clockwise from Top Left: Signed Park Ji Sung's Replica jersey, Signed Zidane France T,
Someone's boot (hahaha) and signed Barca jersey

Top: Signed Fillippo Inzaghi (AC Milan) Boots
Bottom: Signed Kaka (AC Milan) Boots

There were giving away a lot of free books about the Champions League too! There were events going on like answering some football questions and win yourself some free gifts etc... The queue to touch the trophy was long but the place was not as crowded as I thought it would be. Maybe it was a 2 days event thing, and I was there at the end of the second day. The trophy will be taken away by 10pm. :)

This super long foosball table does caught my attention. It's kinda cute isn't it? haha... But I never knew how to play foosball... I didn't know there were rules until my bf told me. Hahaha... Well... I suppose the event can be call a success considering the crowd they manage to attract? But seriously, there really wasn't much to see apart from the Champion's League trophy la... haha...

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-53979122884564645562007-03-22T22:52:00.000+08:002007-03-22T23:01:32.889+08:00Movie: 300 by Frank Miller

I should've post this review a long time ago. But like I said, I never got much time. I am quite occupied with Heroes currently actually... hohoho...

So..I watched this movie with my bf and a couple of his male friends. This movie really kick-ass!!! Everyone and anyone should go and watch it of course, except for those 18 below kids la. The storyline is very simple, it's about 300 Spartans having a war with 1 million Persion army. Not going to tell much about it. You can read it up at Wikipedia.

I tell you... there's just so much blood in this movie! BLOOD!!! SO MUCH!!! And of course, the entire Spartan army really has this gigantic body with 8 packs!!!! You see, I am not really that interested in watching half naked men la. But seriously... the movie rawks!!! It's just so good. There's head chopped off, limbs chopped off flying everywhere ... in slow motion some more!!!

hahaha...enough about the gory bits. It's really damn good. Go watch it!!!

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-50265413810036929202007-03-20T23:14:00.000+08:002007-03-20T23:51:28.242+08:00I'm making a difference Windows Live Messenger Campaign
I believe most of you would have noticed this logo/picture/word in front of some of friend's nickname in MSN lately. You need to have MSN Live Messenger to see it, otherwise you'll probably see *bgca *help etc in front of your friends' nickname.

I did encounter some friends who ask me what is it. Honestly... I didn't know what it is until now. haha... Previously I just put it in front of my nickname for fun coz I thought it look quite cute. Never have I thought that having that logo in front you're actually doing a good deed. :D

In case you have not already know... the bottom text is actually copied from Msn site.

I’m is a new initiative from Windows Live™ Messenger. Every time you start a conversation using i’m, Microsoft shares a portion of the program's advertising revenue with some of the world's most effective organizations dedicated to social causes. We've set no cap on the amount we'll donate to each organization. The sky's the limit. There's no charge, so join now and put our money where your mouth is.
i’m is about making a difference. Not in a huge expensive way, not in a time-consuming way. But in a simple, effective way.

You won't have to change your conversation to change the conversation. With every instant message you help address the issues you feel most passionate about, including poverty, child protection, disease, and environmental degradation. It's simple. All you have to do is join and start an instant messaging conversation. We'll handle the donation.

Once you've signed up, every ad you see in your message window contributes to the grand total we send to the causes.

So, it means... by putting i'm in front of your nickname, you can actually contribute a certain amount to the organisation of your choice by chatting! How cool is that? Different text code you put in front of your nickname actually contribute to different organisation. Take for example *bgca - You're actually contributing to Boys & Girls Clubs of America. However, i'm remains the same look on your msn.

Below are a list of text code you can use!

Text Code

Cause

*red+u

American Red Cross

*bgca

Boys & Girls Clubs of America

*naf

National AIDS Fund

*mssoc

National Multiple Sclerosis Society

*9mil

ninemillion.org

*sierra

Sierra Club

*help

StopGlobalWarming.org

*komen

Susan G. I know that Malaysia tends to have the worse drivers around but this is probably the first time in my life I ever met the most ridiculous driver EVER!

It was Friday, I was heading towards Taman Megah to play badminton with my colleagues from home. For those who's quite familiar with Taman Tun (TTDI), there's a road the goes straight to 1 Utama from Sprint highway. On your right you'll probably see Pizza Hut and further down the road, you can see Shell and Petronas on your right.

There's 3 lanes (I think), the middle lane is to go straight or turn left which will lead you to Uptown, right lane go straight will lead u to 1 Utama. There's this left lane which you can turn into housing area. On the left lane, there's double line which means you can't cut into the middle lane just like that. Many people likes to cut in because after work, the road is quite jam.

Well, it's normal that most Malaysian's driver likes to cut lane. At that time my colleague was fetching me, then... here comes a Black color brand new looking Vios trying to force his car to the our lane. Like I said, it's double line. He's not suppose to cut in. My colleague didn't really like the idea of being cut in just like that he tries to move his car forward a little so that he will back out. In any normal situation, most driver will back out ... but NO... not this driver. He force his car through! And then... we heard some scratching sound. Meaning... my colleagues bumper got scratches and the same would go to the Vios.

Well, my colleague didn't really mind since his bumper is full of scratches already, he continue to drive on. BUT... never have we expect that this Vios driver was angry that his car got scratch demand that we stop the car at the road side and talk about it. =_=' Obviously, my colleague didn't care and continue to drive on. And guess what??? That black Vios didn't gave up and follow us at the back of the car all the way till Taman Megah traffic lights!!!

He kept flashing his car lights trying to indicate that we stop our car and negotiate. Negotiate what we dunno la. Clearly, my colleague's car is the victim and he's against the rules! We continue to ignore him until he reached the traffic lights, so happen it was red lights, he came down the car and bang on my colleague's car window! He told my colleague to wind down the window and he said "bincang bincang". My colleague didn't want to bincang, so he told him, "tak nak bincang, kita pergi repot polis" and he wind up his window.

That Vios guy continue to bang the window so hard I thought he was going to break the window. And then he tries to open my colleague's car door! Well, we were afraid something like this might happen, all the car door was locked. He continue to pull the door handle so hard that he broke it!!! And the chicken shit Vios driver probably freaked out and ran away back to his car. =_=

How stupid can the Vios driver gets??? I seriously wonder who's the victim here? What rights has he got to demand for a discussion when he's on the wrong?? Plus now he broke the car door? Well.. we've got the car plate number all written down. Can get him to jail anytime man... it's just up to my colleague. So guys...remember to lock your car door at all time, you will never know you meet someone crazy!

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-40896266485193998762007-03-18T00:20:00.000+08:002007-03-18T12:04:31.377+08:00Food in Bangkok
Yes, it has been a long time since I've updated here... and I'm still not done with my Bangkok trip, which was more than 3 months ago... hehehe... but oh well, I shall head off to what most people would be most interested in.... FOOD...

Anyway, one of the places I love in Bangkok is MBK, which is a shopping complex which kind of reminds me of Sungai Wang Plaza. Seriously I really have loads to blog about but never got around blogging it like since....after CNY? hahah... Been sick the entire CNY and after CNY also my Shingles is not fully recovered. Actually still got some scars remaining... poor me :(

Anyway... It's been decided that we're leaving for London 4th May! Hurray... And unlucky me is... my passport expires 2 January 2007. -_-''' So I had to make new one. And actually... I made it on the 4th day of CNY. I think it's a Wednesday. Yes... I know this is damn outdated. Anyway... It was DARN PACK ok!!! Look at the Queue!

'X' indicates the beginning of the queue to get number to make ur passport!

'Y' indicates end of queue. As u can see...the queue is so loong that it actually makes a round of the entire immigraion!!!

Lucky thing I got my sister there with me. I was stuck in immigration from 8.30-11.30. Thanks my mom for telling me that CNY, maybe less people. But you know what??? The amount of people making passport on that day is double the usual amount!!! It actually came out in the news!!!

http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2007/2/22/nation/16944431&sec=nation

Anyway... nowadays when you make passport you can actually get it on the same day. After 2 hours, you can collect your passport d. :D So I actually got my passport on the same day. And if you already have an existing "new" passport, as in with the chip inside, you can use the kiosk to make your passport too! It's really fast actually unfortunately... though the kiosk is suppose to speed things up, there's still a verrry looong queue to it coz some of them don't really know how to use the kiosk properly.

Hmm... that's about what I want to say now. hahahah.... I will update more la. :D

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-89090736051854365342007-02-17T02:11:00.000+08:002007-02-17T02:18:16.933+08:00Happy Chinese New Year!!!hey all... I'm so sick! Not fever or flu or whatsoever but shingles!!!

I got it since last Thursday. I was having some rash on my left chest and my left neck. Not knowing what was it, I went to see doctor the next day. Then the doctor told me I had food allergy. She said: "It's DEFINITELY food allergy" I never had food allergy before in my entire life and it's very unlikely I will found that I am allergic to certain food at the age 25 right? Anyway, I finished the 3 days medicine and my rashes never got any better but went worse.

I went back to see her after that and so happen it was another doctor on duty on that day. Man... I was lucky it was not the first doctor on duty. The second doctor told me I had shingles! I was shocked coz I didn't know what shingles was at that time. She told me it's DEFINITELY not food allergy coz if it is, I would've developed rashes all over my body rather than everything is on the left side.

Well... After that I got to know a bit more about Shingles. It's also known as Herpes Zoster and it's caused by chicken pox virus in my body and it reactivates coz my immune system is low. Basically everyone who has chickenpox before are at risk of getting shingles. I can't get shingles from anyone nor can I spread shingles to anyone. However, I can spread to people who hasn't got chickenpox before (usually children) and they will get chickenpox rather than shingles.

I got shingles for more than a week. Doctor says it take 2 weeks to heal. :( On the 5th and 6th day, my rashes starts developing blisters. I tell you... the blisters are DAMN PAINFUL!!!! You know how's the pain like? If you google shingles, they will tell you that it's like needles piercing your body. For me, it was like someone pouring anticeptic on you open wound!!! It was DARN painful that I can't sleep the entire night and I sooo wanted to cry. :(

I went to see my family GP the next day and request for a stronger pain killer and also to double confirm if I've really gotten shingles. The doc told me that my current pain killer can't kill the pain coz shingles are actually attacking my nerve. The pain are from my nerve!!! So I had to take a medicine call Neurontin which will reduce my nerve pain and I found out that people who have fits takes this medicine too! Darn scary right??? Not only that, this medicine is damn expensive and it cost RM 4 each capsule. I am also on medication for 7 days and I have to take the medicine 5 times a day and that's like every 4 hours I has to swallow a huge tablet.

Well...CNY is so near...and I think I am finally getting better. The doc told me to stay home. So I am off work till next wednesday. Coz of Public Holiday and also I took one day leave on wednesday. If I've gotten the correct diagnosis since the first doctor, I wouldn't have suffer SO MUCH!!! :( :( I will not see that lousy doctor anymore!!! She could've killed me....I hate shingles!!!

Anyway...if any of you guys wants to know more about shingles, you can visit the site below.
Information on Shingles

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-43405723578663475852007-02-13T23:41:00.000+08:002007-03-18T12:08:01.988+08:00La Gourmet House @ The Curve

I've always like going to The Curve. I love the food that can be found there. As far as I can remember, La Gourmet House have been around The Curve for a very long time but I never got round trying it. So this time, I've decided to give it a try with my bf.

It was a windy day so we decided to sit outside. We can enjoy the wind and also enjoy the view. hahah... See everyone passing by with lots of purchases in their hands.

One thing that really caught my eye once I sat down was this. hmm... You can sit at your place, press the button to ask for the bill or water? I never got to try it, I am not sure it works though. haha... coz... all the waitresses was standing outside, I don't get a chance to try it. :p

Since I lost my receipt... I can't remember what I ate. But as you can see, what I had is actually sausages with mashed potato and some salad. It says in the menu that the sausages suppose to be cover in tomato sauce, for some reason mine came with mustard. hmm... Anyway, the sausages taste REALLY good. :D The mashed potato taste really good too. Personally I don't like mashed potato to be overly mashed till its creamy. I like it a bit dry and hard and I don't mind it with chunks of potato too!

The salad was really unique. Everything is sour. =_= I've never had salad like this before... but it didn't taste bad, it's unusual for me, but it taste quite nice.

My boyfriend ordered lamb pie. It looks more like lasagna than pie to me though. The pie taste excellent too! The top layer is nicely baked and inside there's loads of minced lamb. :) Smells good and nicely cooked.

The sauce for the pie came seperately. If you have the pie with the gravy, it taste even better! yummy!!!

The meal didn't come cheap though and it's not to say overly priced as well. Average each meal cost RM 20++ and not to forget 10% service charge and 5% govt tax. The food is good, I will definately go there again and try other food from their menu. :D

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-26441179254423272622007-02-12T23:39:00.000+08:002007-03-18T12:08:36.321+08:00Paddington Pancakes @ Plaza DamasI know I haven't been blogging for a looong time. Anyway... here goes... haha... Some time ago, my ex-colleague - WN came all the way from Old Klang Road to Mont Kiara to find me for lunch. We ended up having pancakes at Plaza Damas.

We all know that paddington pancakes are expensive but we never knew that they actually have set Lunch! I had Earl Grey Tea. It comes in packet and a glass of hot water. No sugar provided, there's honey for you though. Depends on thick you like your tea, you can take out your sachet of tea anytime. I had to take it out after a while coz my tea was getting too thick!

Then... the main course came... I had time to edit all the photos for Xell. Lots of photos ahead!!! The food looks really yummy la, I feel so hungry when I am editing the pictures. Anyway... sorry for not having any post in a veeerrry loong time, will update loads before CNY. :D

The moment we touched down in the new Bangkok Airport, we separated into two groups. I was with ah Ya, my sis and YP and we wanted to head off straight to the Chatuchak Weekend Market as we arrived in Bangkok on a Sunday evening and we didn't want to miss it. So, H and his wife went to the hotel to check-in and to inform the hotel we will be checking-in late, as well as bringing all our luggage to the hotel... I don't think we can drag our bags around the market....

Anyway, the market was super packed with people, and I heard that the crowd is the worst in the evening and poor me... I felt like fainting just shoving my way through the crowd, it was really difficult for me to even browse through the shops as the crowd behind me kept pushing me to the front. I know this blog haven't been updated lately. Been busy... been lazy... been unhappy... Many things happen la. haha... Actually I did try to update on weekend, for some reason I can't log in.

Anyway, I am currently bored through my skull at work. Not cause I have no work, it's more like... there's nobody around. >.< My office has 2 sections, one are the BAs and Sales, the other room are all SEs. Anyway... everyone is out in full force meeting client today. Some very important client so... even all the BAs are involved, except for me. :( I am still consider new here... besides I know nuts about the BI tool. haha... so the entire section only has me and another account girl. *sighs* Things will be like that for 2 days! But all the SEs are still around la...

Here's a couple of update over what has been going on for past few weeks.
1) A bit upsetting in office, with my dearest partner in crime and also the only girl in BA and sitting next to me leaving the company. She's got a better offer, who wouldn't go for a better offer right? Just that it makes me feel a bit lonely at work lor. :(

2) Actually, there's a couple more of my colleagues resigned too! Better offer as well, can't blame them. But they're like the people I know best at work. All ciao-ing... Upsetting right? Why can't I get a better offer huh??? Anyway, it's really a dumb thing to do - leaving a company coz everyone else is. So... I'll probably stick around a bit longer, I just got confirmed anyway. Which leads me to the third item...

3) I got confirmed! lol... Looks like I owe some of them a meal. It's an early confirmation though. I am suppose to go through a 6 months probation and I am now at my 4th month. Fast, congratulate me! The confirmation also comes with a sligth increament la.

4) CNY is coming... what more to do other than... Spring cleaning! Man... How I ate spring cleaning, but I don't have a choice kay! Still have to clean...

5) Planning my UK trip with Xell and Snakebyte. Blardy MAS flight tickets during Mas Travel Fair is still blardy expensive la! So call Travel Fair. >.< Blardy flight tix so expensive, damn those airport tax and the blood sucker fuel surcharge! They really should reduce the blardy fuel surcharge.

Anyway, planning the trip was A PAIN!!!! Coz we need to fly to Belfast from London so need to book more flights. Plan the date, then book accomodation. Now... all our Credit card has officially burst. hahaahaha.... But glad to say, everything has been well planned!!! UK here I come in May!!!

6) I've already applied my leave for the trip!!! 11 days!!! hohoho... it's gonna be a loooong holiday and being SUPER broke when I get back. But I'm sure it will be all worth it. The next thing to plan is the itenary of what and what-not to see in London. hoho... Being there for a year, I'll have to be a tour guide for the rest la. Damn~ ahahahaha

7) Apart from all the good things and bad things that happen... There's ONE pain I have to endure throughout my employment in my current company, which is - I have to suffer working with a c2pid person and have to answer and listen to all her c2pid questions. I am so going to die. I dunno how long I can tahan her before I actually chop her into pieces or maybe just strangling her. She should just stay at home and take care of her kids. She's so incompetence in her job and so blur and most of all STUPID. I hate to use this word on anyone, but sad to say, she is. =_=

That's all for now. I still have a lot of things lining up, waiting to be posted on the blog. But heck, when I am home, I'm tired. I'll work harder to post stuff la. hahaha... I'm planning to switch my blog some where else too. See when I'll get it done. Ciao for now~~

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-47064153990065004162007-01-29T23:56:00.000+08:002007-01-30T00:11:56.020+08:00Movie: Pathfinder

Been busy lately, too many things happening at work. *sighs* Sorry guys, never been updating. So simple post... here u go :D

Some last last week (I think!) I went to watch Pathfinder with my bf. I wasn't really interested in watching this movie coz seems like there's a lot of slashing and brutal killings (which there really is), I went to watch it anyway. :D

Man... it was a cruel movie. haha... I think there's some cencorship here and there coz really too brutal. However, it was actually quite fun to watch. But I heard some say boring. It was quite nice for me. ALTHOUGH... there's hardly ANY conversation in the movie. Just merely action. Average each character only gets to speak 2 sentences each time. And they rarely gets the chance to speak at all! whahaha....

Well... the main character is seriously damn good looking. I was wondering who is he. Must be some not-so-famous-actor but good looking. Seriously... he's actually Karl Urban. I seriously have trouble recognizing him... he's actually Eomer from LOTR. hahaha... Go watch it for yourself! hohoho...

Anyway, watch it only if you can stand all the brutal killings. Brutal ok? and I mean BRUTAL! hahaha...

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-83289570450122093992007-01-19T23:48:00.000+08:002007-01-22T23:57:03.481+08:00When Sinking ofJapan meets The Day After TomorrowNot so long ago, there was some weird dreams post like here, here and here. Hmm... Then after that my dreams seems to be normal until... recently...

Seems like my dream is getting more and more powderful. hahaha... This time it's Sinking of Japan meets The Day After Tomorrow. Sinking of Japan is one pretty new movie that just came out in Malaysia. I've watched the trailer a number of times.

This time around, I dreamt that I was in Japan. Suddenly the building starts to sink!!! hahah... Some very tall building just started to sink straight into the ground. I know Sinking of Japan has little to do with the building sinking into the ground la. But in my dream the building started to sink lor. Then... there's this freezing air starts flowing to our direction.

You know... just like The Day After Tomorrow lor... so obviously, I had to escape from the freeze right? Else I will be frozen in my dream. hahaha... I can't remember who I was escaping with. haha... and one of my friend manage to hijack a car and we sped off towards the opposite direction of the freezing area lor. Which is of course coming closer and closer. And I think the person who hijacked the car was J. hahahaha...

Anyway, I managed to esacape. I survived Tsunami, how can I now survive this right? hahaha... But... hmm... I can't remember how I woke up. :p

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-3954923206963267382007-01-18T23:53:00.000+08:002007-01-22T23:39:50.613+08:00BANGKOK BANGKOK BANGKOK!Note from Zen: Sorry for no post lately. We (me, ah ya, my older sis, ah ya's colleagues - YP, H and his wife) left from LCCT, KLIA on Christmas eve and our flight was delayed for 15 minutes... and it was a smooth landing in Bangkok too! A complete opposite to our flight back to Malaysia! Our flight was delayed twice!!! From 3.15pm to 5.15pm to 6.20pm! Oh goodness, thank goodness I brought 3 story books along and my mp3 player too! And by the time I reached home, it was almost midnight and I had to go to work in the afternoon the next day too! And the landing was so horrid, my ears were horribly block...

This is the plane we took to style="font-size:85%;">
Anyway, one of the few reasons why I love my stay in Bangkok was because of the hotel. I would definitely come back to stay here, even though it's pretty far from the city, but the boat services are pretty reliable and the train's easy to take to.

And how I love the hotel staff, they're the best! They're extremely helpful and patient handling my silly questions, even though sometimes I know the answer but I still want to ask them... For instance, when I was out shopping on a Monday, I noticed loads of people wearing yellow. Turns out it was because the people are showing their love for their King whose birthday was on Dec 5th, and he was born on a Monday. Therefore, every Monday during that month, the people would wear yellow! Actually, I managed to figure that out myself but I still wanted to bother the hotel staff bout it... hehehehe

http://www.menamriverside-hotel.com/website/index.asp

Xellhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00327429700647759903noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-82015341369768753122007-01-06T09:32:00.000+08:002007-01-16T14:35:48.944+08:00Paddington Pancakes @ 1 UtamaI first saw Paddington Pancakes at The Curve. Never been in there before. Then I saw another branch at Plaza Damas and I had my first pancake lunch with my bf and it's excellent. Then, somewhere last year, the open a branch in 1U. They've open quite some time, but I never got a chance to eat there.

Last week, before the movie, I went there with my bf. The branch here looks really nice. Since there's an outdoor seatings area and you can have seats that can enjoy the "forest" view.

Paddington pancakes kitchen are open. Basically you can see how they operate from wherever you sit. The food here are very costly so I don't come here often. hahaha... But it's also well worth the price. There's plenty of pancakes for you choose from in their menu. From dessert pancakes to savoury pancakes to burgers made out of pancakes...

Their pancakes looks really declicous from all the pictures. One good thing about Paddington is, what you see is what you get. Which means, what you see in the menu, you get exactly the same thing on your table. I know many places where food looks good in the menu but it turns out otherwise when it's served.

Since I already had a heavy lunch at Fish n Co before this, I only order one drink. Mango Orange Fizz. Damn expensive man! The drink cost RM7.50!!! Anyway, my bf was damn hungry. haha... So he ordered Mexican Double Cheese Burger. Look at the picture! Yah... the burger bread is made out of pancakes la. Pancakes here taste really good!!!

I thought their main attraction is pancakes. I never thought they cook their beef so well and serve really good beef! You can just cut through the beef so easily with just a normal dinner knife and not those steak knife. It taste really really good!!! BUT... it's not cheap la, RM 25.50++.

But for what we eat, I think it's well worth the price. If I am richer, I might go there more often lor. Unfortunately not hehe...

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-58270344557623355042007-01-05T09:32:00.000+08:002007-03-18T12:06:47.649+08:00Fish n Co @ 1 Utama (Again!)

I was out shopping with Sylphiel, haven't seen her for a loong time. She's got new hairstyle and new hair color. hahaha... I shall not comment about it here. hahaha... Anyway, poor her, getting all stressed out at work.

Anyway, since she usually don't get anyone accompanying her to try out new food, this time around, I told her to choose a place to eat. So... we ended up at Fish n Co. Previously, Xell ate there too. Please refer to this post. She ate something else, but the best food in Fish n Co is definately their Seafood Platter.

It's not cheap of course, but you get a lot of variety of seafood. This has always been my favourite dish here. In fact... nearly all the time I go there, I'm having their seafood platter. Seafood Platter comes with loads of fried calamari, fish, 8 prawns, 8 mussels, rice and chips. This time I went, they gave 10 prawns and 6 mussels instead. lol... I remember coz I used to count.

The one we ordered is Seafood Platter for 2. It's so huge that usually it's enough to serve 3 person. There's also seafood platter for one. However, if you ordered for one person, you don't get mussels. The best dish in Seafood platter is their Fried Calamari. Yummy! But there were too much calamaris and chips. Sylphiel and I just couldn't finish our food :(

The meal cost RM 56.50 after tax. A bit pricey but it's definately worth the price!

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-73577657480958249562007-01-04T09:31:00.000+08:002007-01-13T23:55:02.999+08:00Movie: Night at the Museum

I finally got to watch this movie. Seriously, I think everyone should go watch it coz it's really funny and very entertaining. Although I don't think there's much storyline or and moral in the movie, but it's sure a fun watch!

Basically it's about this museum where everything comes alive at night. The T-Rex is alive, all the wax figure anything comes alive. It's really cute! I love those tiny little Roman soldiers and those from the cowboys time. The funniest thing was the Easter Island statue.

Go watch it! It's fun! Just don't put too much expectation on the storyline. :D

zenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09102220069504128382noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24986895.post-38208008177468775602007-01-03T23:40:00.000+08:002007-01-08T23:05:39.228+08:00MySciFiFan Outpost @ Cineleisure, The Curve

This is one really interesting shop that caught my attention as I was heading up to Cathay cineplex. First, it's actually right in front of the escalator of the Cinema's floor, secondly, there was quite some figurines of Star Wars etc on display.

My bf and I decided to go in and checkout the place. Apparently, this place is not only a cafe, it's also a place that sells some action figures and their main idea is actually selling board games. Now, we're not talking about all those conventional board games like Monopoly etc, we're talking about eurogames / designer games / German-style board games. Whatever you call it, actually down to the end, it's still board game la... hahaha... The guy in the picture is actually the owner of the shop whom runs the cafe business.

One thing that really caught my attention was all these board games that I've never seen before. There's also a World of Warcraft board game! I saw Doom too! I am not familiar with this kinda games at all. We were just wondering around until, quite luckily, the distributor of the board games came approaching us and gave us a very long and very detailed explanation of what are all this things about.

He told us that these board games are known as Eurogames. Why? Mainly coz it's orignated from europe. Eurogames aka Designer games has a very big different with those monopoly games, all these Eurogames have the author name printed on the box. Designing these games are the same as author writing a book. It takes time to design and produce.

Eurogames are mainly purchased by 2 types of people. Just as the people that buy books. One type are those that buy everything under the same publisher, like Hasbro, another type are those that buy the games from the same author. Whether the games are good or bad, they will purchase it just to collect everything by the same author.

Another big big difference Eurogames have compared with Monopoly kind of board games are monopoly type of games are nearly 100% depends on luck and 0% strategy wherelse in Eurogames, it's 100% of strategy and nearly 0% of luck.

Board games like WoW really didn't come cheap. It cost RM 350++ (if I didn't remember wrongly). What really surprise me is they actually have an expansion to the game. Most Eurogames are multiplayer games (mutiplayer here means more than 3 players and some up to 10 players). Games like WoW follows the storyline exactly like the game you play on computer. There are many figurines in the game too! They're really good figurarines coz they actually created the game in collaboration with Blizzard.

There are a lot of Warcraft fanatic that bought the board game but have never play the game before! Well... they just bought it coz they want to collect another Warcraft item and the figurines. :p

Other games like Doom, where most are familiar with the online version are available here too. I was really surprise how can anyone play Doom using board? Well... for Doom, there's actually a game master whom controls all the monsters and the rest will have to play against the game master. If you have a very unsporting game master, chances are... no one will win the game coz he can control the monsters, make them powerful till no one can win. hahaha....

The above 3 pictures are how another game call Battle Lore looks like. This is a old time war game where you can relive the history and follow the many battles that happen in history. Most of these games actually takes up to 2-3 hours to complete some might take 3-4 hours.

Since most of the board games are quite costly, not many people can afford it and most of all, these games are not very popular in Malaysia yet, this shop actually allow everyone to try out their games for free, get a feel of how these games are like and if they like it, they might just found themselves a new hobby! The main aim of this shop is to rise the awareness that such games exists and also allow players to have a place to play these games.

I honestly find these games really interesting and I might just give it a try one day!
