Senior Recreational Trip to Beautiful Napa Valley

Evengelism and Mission Committee is planning an annual "Senior Recreation Trip" on August 9th 2008, Saturday. This year, Ma Delilah Hui, chair of E/M committee planned to bring seniors and members to beautiful Napa valley of California. Here is the plan:

On Saturday morning, the bus will come and pick up the first group at Dicky and Shirley Choo's house, 42 Edgmont Dr. Daly City, CA 94015 around 7:45-8:00 am and the second group at Jerry and Delilah Hui's house, 119 Via Bellagio, American Canyon, around 9:00-9:30 am. Then the trip continue to:

1. Buena Vista Winery: 18000 Old Winery Rd. Sonoma (9:45-11:30 am)
2. V. Sattui Winery: 1111 White Lane Street, Helena. (12:00-2:00 pm)
3. Sutter Home Winery: 277 St. Helena Hwy. (2:15-3:15 pm)
4. Napa Premium Outlet Mall: 639 Factory Stores Dr. Napa. (3:50-5:50pm)
5. Return to American Canyon and Daly City (5:30-8:00 pm)

There will be lunch together at one of the park on the way. Bring your favorite food to share with others. We will also have an opportunity to praise God by singing praise songs and outdoor worship. Summer Picnic at Warm Springs Community Park, Fremont

Thanks be to God and praise Him for wonderful summer picnic this year at "Warm Spring Community Park", Fremont on July 19th. Members of our church, friends ad families from near and far gathered there for a day of recreation and fellowship. Thanks to Ko Dicky and Naw Bawk for finding and reservation of this beautiful and convenience park with discount price. Food committee chair and food preparation team has put their time and energies for the delicious food that everyone enjoyed entire day of the event. Thanks also to everyone who brought delicious food, salmon, tofu, pork sticker, fresh salad, chips, drink, Burmese delicacies, fruits, and desserts and so on. They were so delicious.

We have sung praise songs under God's beautiful creation for the outdoor worship. Pastor Latt shared a devotional message about "Greatest Invitation" of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We have visiting guests who are medical doctors and families from London, and Sayama Naw Htoo Htoo from Burma who led special prayer for us. It was also a wonderful time of fellowship each other. We all enjoy singing "Happy Birthday" song for Pastor Latt and Easher Wu with a delicious home-made birthday cake by Elizabeth.

Everyone enjoy. Our seniors have good time chatting each other and sharing experiences, ladies played their games, men play chess, Chin-lone, soccer, and eat alot. Children running around, play at playground, biking, and eating. They really enjoy when beating manyana for candies.

While people enjoying BBQ and relaxation, our Juniors are sharing and study the word of God. They have bible with them everywhere they go. Wow! They played, they chat, they eat, they had games with youthful energies, and sat down face to face for open discussion. They continue until mid-night at Serra Bowling and Choo family's house at Daly City.

YAF4Jesus (Young Adult Fellowship for Jesus) is one of the most important parts in our weekly worship services. Their dedication make our worship services alive by their music, praise songs, special songs, solos, dramas, testimonies, media skills and youthful energies.

This Sunday, the whole worship service will be led by this group to celebrate "Youth Sunday 2008." There will be filled with special musics, testimonies, and messages from them.

FBBC Youth and Junior Camp 2008

First Burmese Baptist Church of San Francisco "Youth & Junior Camp" was held at "Jenness Park Christian Camp" 29005 HWY 108, Cold Springs, CA 95335 on Memorial Day weekend. More than 80 young people and some parents gathered together there to have meaningful lifechanging youth camp. Youth from Burmese Christian Community Church of Silicon Valley, Oakland Burmese Mission Baptist Church, and Burmese Christian Fellowship of LA also joined with us this year. This is the first time English language was spoken entire camp. New chapter of youth camp for this generation.

Five talented and dedicated leaders, Nathan Choo, Frank La, Irene Latt, Awn Lahpai, and Htoi Lahpai beautifully led the camp under the theme "SURRENDER". Except Pastor Latt, Rebecca Hla-Oung, Uncle U Tin Shwe, and Dr. Victor Hui gave some devotional messages and health edication, entire program was well prepared and led by these five leaders. Naw Bawk Lazum joined Sunday morning to make more alive with his musical dedication. FBBC Praise dance participated with a praise dancc to appreciate and encourage our youth.

It was a great blessing to see youngsters pouring out their energies, talents, gifts, and their hearts for the Lord. They had fellowship each others, singing praises, giving testimonies, creative activities we had never seen before, worshipping, praying, and many many items to be remembered. They stayed up late but get up very early to start another new day they don't want to miss. What a youthful energies! Emerging voices of new leaders' messages tatooed the hearts of all participants.

Outside the chapel was wet because of heavy rain.

Inside the chaple was also wet because of the tears of our youngsters when they surrendered and burn down their sins and weakness at the foot of Savior Jesus.

We will have a special Sunday worship service on March 30th 2008. It is our annual Sunday School Teachers' appreciation Sunday. Year round, everywhere, you have seen our Sunday school children participated in God's ministries here at FBBC San Francisco. They were leading praise and worship, praise with dances, performed dramas, gave testimonies, fundraising, participated in worship services and performed at many special events. We are so glad to see these children are growing in the knowledge of God and serving Him with their talents. These are the fruits of the dedication of our Sunday School teachers. Their tireless dedication and commitment to the teaching ministry of our Lord at FBBC made a huge impact to our children and to our church.

Now is the time to honor them and appreciate them to glorify God's name. Come and worship together this Sunday and let us give thanks to God for teachers at FBBC.
