In 1960 when I graduated from college I was unable to find a job right away. I worked part time for a welding/fabricating shop owned by Owen Baker in Sturgis,MI. During that time he had developed a Fifth wheel frame and a hitch that fit into the bed of a pickup truck. He later produced the new hitch under the name OWEN.
