Todays tricks to increase traffic automatically.

Today I have tried something new. I added a link to an automated traffic system on the site which looks very useful, and I also added a link to my "Best Traffic of your Life" link back to my site. So it will be interesting to see if these links to high traffic sites increase the traffic to my site.

Tried a Search Engine submission

My hits are stable at about 33 unique hits a day, which is not what I am looking for, I am looking for an increase. So today, I was led to a website that spiders and submits instantly, and also has a service to submit to 200 genunine small search engines for under $8. Seems like a good deal to me, and so I gave it a go.

The Article worked

The Article worked and looking at my Statcounter account the traffic has started to build up. On Saturday there were a total of 35 unique hits, but so far today and it is still early in the morning there have been 19 hits already. I used some software called ArticleAssistance and as the name suggests is an assistance. Each service has to be visited one at a time, but the fields are filled in automatically. So it is in effect a manual submittion, and it is working well, especially as I only submitted to 4 different articel services before I ran out of time yesterday.

I prefer a more rapid method. So I have completed all the details in the rapid submission service called Article Marketer which is much easier to use and I have had success with it in the past. At the moment I am waiting for the article to be approved before it is sent out and that should bring a real jump in hits. Once I find what is really working well, if it makes a difference, then I will spend more time on the articles, and also decide on the most effective submission service.

I have also decided to change the first page, and to make the list subscription voluntary. That way I may accelerate sales. I know that it takes about 100 clicks to make a sale on average, but so far I have had a total of 158 clicks and no sales. Knowing the products I am recommending, I think there must be a resistance to sign up. So I will send them straight to Harvey Segals Supertip and at least get the ball rolling.

I suppose I had better put a direct link to my site on this blog in case it is missed, so anyone visiting can see what I am actually doing.

Once I am satisfied that the traffic is beginning to arrive, then the next step is to start to work on the conversions. It is all well and good to use an affiliate site that has been professionally written and is converting, but to use information straight from the heart seems to be more difficult, so I need to work on that next.

The last thing I did today was to set up an autoresponder and form filling service using Aweber. The reason I have stopped using the free service that comes with the SuperTip is that it is much more powerful, and even though is more diffucult to set up, the tracking and notification system is much more effective. I have had 18 people sign up to the list which is a good percentage, but no recorded sales so far. But at least people are arriving and taking some action.

At the time of writing my hits have alrady reached the same level as they did yesterday, yet it is only part way through the day. I just hope that now there is more freedom of choice on the site there will be an easier path to people signing up and then buying.

Let me tell you a story. 10 years ago I set up my first Internet site. It was easy in those days to be found, and be indexed and to be noticed. But my site was an information site and it was linked to a long term interest in esoteric subjects. But I could not find a way to make it earn money, so it was just left over the years doing very little.

Then I discovered how many Intenet marketers were making money, and got hooked into the whole Internet marketing process. But even though I bought the books, listened to the CD's, went to the seminars, learnt how to do email letters, got autoresponders to work and many other useful tips and tricks, I could never think of a product to market for myself, and so I let it all go for many years.

About a year ago I renewed my interest, and put Google Adsense on my site, and used some software to create hundreds of links. Slowly the hits increased to about 2500 a day and my income went up to about $600 a month from my site. I got excited and wanted to see it go higher. I still did not have an actual product, but I had an income. I started to build related sites and expected them to do the same.

But then the hits dropped off as Google changed and no matter what I did it could not be revived. I decided that as I did not have a product of my own I needed to find something that I liked and that I could promote, and if it worked for me then it would work for others as well.

You see, part of my problem, and I suspect many others it that to be successful on the Internet is not necessarily very difficult, but it requires concentration on one product, service or site. Too many of us keep finding the next easy way to make money, to then flit from one promise to another, and the result, certainly for me was buying all sorts of products, expecting that just buying them would make money, but then never did because I never put all my effort into that idea.

Slowly the light dawned, and I started to look for simple products that appealed to me, that I could use to make some money, something that would last, and something that if it built up an income would be sustained.

I found a handful of products, that I found very useful, and satisfied demand. I narrowed this down to a small list that had a variety of markets. From the absolute beginner to an expert, and even a product that does not require a lot of marketing and contact with others to work, but just makes money using the Internet as a source of information.

So having found these products, and tried them, it occurred to me that if I told others about my discovery that may help them to get to a position where they could say as I have said, and that is that I have an Internet Income at last.

I put my site together, and wondered how long it would take to be found, and started to log and record my activities in a new blog. It is actually beginning to be found, and I know that slowly if I apply the lessons I have learnt, then I can show others how I have done this.

Slowly the hits are coming, and quite a few of them are from Google Adsense. But the problem with that is that it is costing money. I have heard that it takes about 100 hits to make a sale, and my total unique hits since I launched the site 5 days ago have been about 75. So I do not expect any sales. I have reduced the cost of these clicks by half, and it has hardly changed the position of my site in the listings, and I am happy with that. So what do I do to increase the hits, and make them free? The answer comes to me that I ought to publish an article. So in my half an hour today I have written an article and I am publishing it as soon as I have finished this. I will wait a few days and see what happens.

Articles are supposed to be good for getting back links. By publishing the article, it is picked up and used for content on other peoples sites and in this way as the links on the bio page cannot be altered, and as they have my links on them then they should link to my blog or my site. I have written it to attract people here, so if there is an interest then that interest can be followed by following this blog, to check on progress and see the results.

More results will follow in a few days.

The hits are coming.

Today I have tried several things to get noticed by the search engines. I set up my blog and linked it to one of my sites which is already getting hits, I set up Google Analytics which is used by Google to analyse traffic, so that brings some of the Google spiders to the site immediately. I also set up some Adwords advertisements. So at the end of the day there are now 30 hits, which is 10 times as many as yesterday, and 2 people have signed up on the list, but no sales so far. But it is very early days.

Then next things to work on are to tweak the adverts, and keep this blog running and ping it. Then I will write a press release and some articles and submit those.

So it is interesting to see the traffic slowly building from nothing at all in a few days.

Today I have used the RSS feed and tried to get that linked to Yahoo, but it failed. When I use the URL of my Blogger in Firefox it works well, but when I try to get Yahoo to find that so that it can go into their general feeds it says it is not there. So I wrote to them to ask why.

In the meantime I went to Pingomatic.com and pinged my blog in the hope that this will wake up the search engines and send them to my site. This has worked for me in the past, but if this works now it will be a real test.

Internet Income at Last

After years of trial and error I have finally found a way that actually makes money on the Internet. Well the truth is I have found several ways, and they are all simple to set up and with the tools that I have found and the tips and tricks I have learnt over the years, I think I have finally found what I have been looking for.

The main tip though is that you could pick almost anything out there, and as long as you focus on that one thing, and do not get distracted or deviate from your plan, or the steps that are laid out to you by whatever you are trying, then you will succeed.

I have set up a new site which I am using to show others what I have found and this site can be viewed here.

I am going to use this blog to keep track of how things are going for me. The site went live on the 19th March, and today the 21st I finally finished tweaking it. I set up some traffic software to the site and activated that. It took me a long time to work out the best way of using it, but it should hopefully start to generate some traffic in a few days. The software I am using is Traffic Panther and it seems to be search engine friendly and durable.

If you click on that link you may notice that the link is through linkbrander. I am using that as these links are secure, in other words they cannot be stolen, and at the same time linkbrander posts advertisements to other sites whenever I someone clicks on one of my linkbrander links. So this is useful to get a bit of extra traffic.

I am creating this post as it is well known that by creating and updating links on a blog, it attracts the attention of the spiders, and a site can be indexed quite quickly. And a blog is often found more easily than a site. My first ever site was created 10 years ago, but my blog about my Linklight site actually ranks higher on the Google listings than my main site. I am sure it is due to the content on the blog, as my main site is just links which is all it has ever been.

The most exciting thing I have found so far which features in my site is so simple and so easy to follow that a child could do it. I have included a link here so you can go and see for yourself. It is a completely free ebook called the Ultimate Supertip by Harvey Segal and you have to read it.
