I have been going through some major changed right now in my personal life, and blogging was the first thing that I had to drop! I'm hoping that things will start to get back into a normal pace soon, so hopefully I will start blogging again!

So, if you've been living under a rock then you don't know that Michelle and I have started our own new site, Little Dreamer Designs. I would love to take credit, but I have been in the process of moving, and was without Internet for the most of the set up time. Yuck. I don't recommend that to anyone!! Needless to say though, we are finally settling into our new place. It's awesome, because now we have 4 bedrooms. That means that the kids now have their own room, and i have an office! I'll get some pictures up as soon as there aren't boxes everywhere, lol.

There are a zillion things that have happened since I last posted, but since back blogging sounds as boring to read as it does to write, I'm not going to go into it all, lol. I guess just keep your eyes out for a fresh new blog design (cause I'm bored of this one...)

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-6684113457504048572007-01-14T13:57:00.000-08:002007-01-14T14:08:18.757-08:00Laughter Contest!Well, I'm in a contesty mood today. Probably because I'm sick and took some cold medicine and it totally whacked me out. I feel...strange...lol. Anyway, I wanted to do a fun contest to celebrate my newest kit release. I want to see your layouts done using the laughter kit. This set is huge and so versatile, and I want to see what you are doing with it! Send me a link to your layout, or post a link here. I will pick my favorite layout, and the winner get a $10 ScrapArtist gift certificate! What could be more fun? Also, everyone who enters will get a grab bag with a surprise gift! Contest ends next Sunday at midnight mountain time. Good luck!!

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-78408548265344421552007-01-10T06:55:00.000-08:002008-12-09T07:29:01.196-08:00Sick kids, no sleep, and Laughter...

Well, as strange as that title sounds, it's the truth. I know in my last post I said I would come back and add pictures, and then I never did. Well, Xander was sick, and then I got sick, and then his sickness was neverending, and then right when he starts feeling better, Maya gets sick! Ack! So that is where the sick kids/no sleep part comes in. As for the laughter, it's not actually literal, lol. (OK, that lol was literal) Laughter is my new set, in the store now! It is really big, mega kit big. I don't know why, but the papers really flowed, and I popped out 20 of them in a few days. That is not like me at all, because I usually struggle to push past the 8 paper slump. So then I wanted to get an elements set that was large enough to support such a large paper pack, and I think I did. Two alphabets and a slew of other misc. crap...yum! So check it out. And stuff. There is also a matching Layered Template/Quick Page pack that is pretty fun, so check that out too. :)

So I ordered a new laptop to take with me to CHA. I got a really good deal on one refurbished from Dell, so I wouldn't feel so bad about buying it. I have rally started to need one with the trips I've been taking, I borrowed Michelle's old one when I went to Memory Trends, but it was..less then perfect, lol. So it should be here today or tomorrow, and I'm pretty excited about it. I also ordered a custom skin for it from SkinIt.com, and it's going to be so cool I can't wait! I uploaded a paper from my Garage Band kit, and it's going to be just the right amount of funky for my tastes. :) I can't wait to show it off at CHA. If you haven't checked out Skinit yet, be warned, it is so flippin' cool you just might have to order something on the spot. Don't have a laptop? Skin your Ipod. Don't have an Ipod? Skin your phone. Don't have a laptop, an Ipod, or a phone? Seriously? lol.

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-2465089881602445512007-01-03T07:48:00.000-08:002007-01-03T08:02:31.250-08:00I feel like a horrible person! So this morning I drag myself very unwillingly out of bed to get Xander up and ready for school. He's moving in slow motion and I'm constantly riding his tail telling him to get moving. He was having a really hard time waking up. Wouldn't eat breakfast, just kept asking to go back to sleep. He was taking FOREVER getting his clothes on, so finally I went over and started getting him dressed. Only to find out as soon as I touch him that he's burning up! Poor kid! He didn't tell me that he didn't feel good, and I just figured he was having a hard time getting used to the after Christmas back to school thing. I was being so grouchy and now I feel horrible! Oh well, I told him he could go get back in bed and watch TV, and he told me he felt so lucky, lol. He is the worst kid when sick. He doesn't slow down for a minute to let his body heal. In fact he usually has more energy then usual if that's even possible. Last year he had 2 ear infections, bronchitis, and pneumonia at the same time. When I brought him in the doctor couldn't believe how bad his ears were, but Xander had never once complained of a sore ear! That kid...
Anyway, there were several other things I was going to blog about, but now I'm feeling really tired. I'm going back to bed, and I'll blog more later. :)

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-1165946030921707112006-12-12T09:22:00.000-08:002006-12-12T09:54:59.086-08:00Blog? I have a blog?Yeah...right...So I haven't been around much...So it seems like I've got a ton of things to say. :) I have now released my Templation as individual packs as well. You can check that out here. That's pretty cool. :) Right now ScrapArtist is gearing up for our HUGE 12 days of Christmas sale. It's going to rawk like no other, and all of us have put a TON of time into it, so make sure you check it out. I've got a new brush/rub-on set that I will be putting up in the store later today, make sure you check it out, it's pretty cute if I do say so myself. :) My dance paper line is now officially in stores, so if you are a paper/hybrid scrapper, go check it out. It took a fairly large part of my energy and time...lol. If any of you are Utah locals, make sure you check out the Digital Scrapbook Class website, to sign up for our January class. I am offering a beginners class, and if enough interest is shown I will also offer an advanced/intermediate class then too, otherwise it will wait until next session. If any of you are interested in the advanced/intermediate class (6 week course starting January 23rd) Please send me and email and I'll get a registration set up asap. :) So I designed a rockin ad for December's DAM and somehow there was a mix-up and last months ad made it instead. Just my luck, lol. Maybe I'll post it here so you can all admire my handiwork instead...Hmm, what else? Ooh, I got my Christmas card back from Mpix (I originally designed them for Costco at 5x6 and when I went to upload it I realized that they only offer templates online, and to have my card done I would have to take it into the store, and I was to lazy, so I re-designed it for Mpix postcard size, 4x5.5.) I am mostly satisfied with it. The colors are a bit off, but I think they print in CMYK, and I didn't convert it first, so that could be why. Or it could be time for a monitor calibration, either way...But they're still pretty cute. I'll post a picture later, because I don't have a re-sized for web version right now, and I don't feel like opening up Photoshop. Speaking of computers (we kind of were, give me some credit) here's a story of my lovely graphics card. So my computer is not quite 2 months old yet, and already I'm having trouble. It's not Dell's fault, but it still makes me mad. Apparently the graphics card I've got is having some issues. Every time I play The Sims 2 (pet's, in case you are wondering!) It get's stuck, and my computer freezes and I get the blue screen of death. Something about it being stuck in a continuous loop or something. So I go online, and apparently a bunch of other people are having the same problem when trying to run 3D intensive programs, and everyone has their own solutions, but none of them work...lol. I figure it's probably a driver issue, but Dell doesnt have an updated driver on their website, so I went to the source, and got it from the nVidia's website. I download the one that says it's for XP Media Center 2005, (cause that's what I've got) and follow the directions for removing the old driver, running a driver cleaning program to get what the uninstallation left behind (a program that used to be free, but now costs $9.95, but apparently is worth it so whatever) and then installing the new driver. Things are working pretty good until I go to watch a movie in Media Center. My computer freaks out, and I get an error telling me my setting aren't compatible or something. GRR! After many troubleshooting FAQ's I find in very tiny writing that even though the new driver is for Media Center, it does not support Media Center extensions and if I would like I can purchase their Media Center upgrade package for $19.95. WTF!!! I'm so pissed, but I can't really go back to the old driver...so I downloaded their free trial. It's actually pretty cool, I can tell a difference in the picture quality, but I would rather not have to have it. Is that even legal? Who knows...
So, there's the story of where I've been lately, sounds fun huh? I'll post picks of all my adventures later, I need a nap first. :)

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-1164525095554445132006-11-25T23:07:00.000-08:002006-11-25T23:11:35.566-08:00Mostly Mod!

Woohoo! I would love to tell you I was cleaning....But it is not the case. It was, however, a very productive day. I created my new website. My SIL and I teach a digital scrapbooking class and I decided we needed a website. It was actually pretty fun. I got to mix the creativity of creating the pages with the technical aspect of templating the forum and installing php, and remembering how to do mouse-overs in Image Ready. Actually it was mostly technical and only a little bit of fun, lol. BUT I did it, and I did it all by myself. Which is a lot to say for me because up until now I usually have people do my technical stuff for me. But now I don't have to! Ha! OK, well, go check it out and tell me what you think, and if you or someone you know lives in the SLC/Ogden area and would be interested in attending the class then that's even better!
http://www.digitalscrapbookclass.com/

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-1162440056770032812006-11-01T19:37:00.000-08:002006-11-01T20:00:56.816-08:00Halloween 2006

I figured if I didn't get these pictures scrapped right away that I probably wouldn't do it. My foray into the world of computerlessness has left me mindless and comatose, but otherwise unharmed. My new computer is totally kick ass, complete with a pink keyboard. (I know!) I didn't even need a new keyboard, I got it because it was pink. (and dell donated 10% of profit to the Susan G. Koman foundation, but that was probably like $1.00, so whatever) Anyway, as the title of this post suggests I have something templating to share with you today, lol. I'm currently teaching a Digital Scrapbook class with my SIL Rayanne, and was asked by the class to make them up some more templates. (specifically asked by one person to "Do like 10 of them!") So I did. Like 10. I also included a ton of bonus stuff too. Like 20 papers and a boatload of elements. Ubber cool, I know. Check it out, but be warned, once you've given in to Templation, there is no going back...

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-1160979261333905082006-10-15T23:04:00.000-07:002006-10-15T23:14:21.343-07:00Oh my dear God...I have cursed myself in the worst way possible. Remember last night when I said things were looking up? Well, this morning my computer proceeded to die in a show of smoke and flames. No joke. I have a pretty old computer, it's about 5 years old. I've been saying for a while how I would like to upgrade and how it's slowly dieing. Well, it picked this morning to bite it forever. When I booted it up it made a not so happy noise and started smoking. It then shut off and will not boot up at all. I'm lucky to have most everything backed up on my external, but those lofty ideas of finished product will have to wait until my new computer gets here. According to dell it is expected on 10/26/06... lol. I am currently getting on the internet through Xander's computer, so don't expect anything from me! I have to laugh to keep from crying, lol...

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-1160878288026777592006-10-14T18:59:00.000-07:002006-10-14T19:11:28.716-07:00I guess I died...I sure have been absent lately. First I got sick for about 3 weeks. Then my kids got sick. Then I finally started getting better, just in time to head off to Las Vegas for Memory Trends. I'm fully back now, I think...lol. I've got a bunch of things in the works to hopefully make up for my lack of production. I'm working on a package of templates by request of my Digi class that I'm teaching. I'm also doing a kit for our Breast Cancer fundraiser. I am hoping to have them both up in the store by the first part of next week, so we'll see! ScrapArtist is on it's way to being fully functional after our chaotic server move, and for the first time in about 2 months I feel myself settling into normalcy. I'm so glad. Being unproductive is as draining on the emotions as it is on my pocketbook...lol. Well, I ramble. I just thought I would pop in with a post about where I've been. Hopefully the next time I post it will be with new product previews!!!

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-1158355998886948622006-09-15T14:25:00.000-07:002006-09-15T14:33:18.896-07:00Hey Mom!
I have finally done a layout! It's been forever, but I had to use the new kit. :) The other day I was taking pictures of Xander in his new Soccer uniform and Maya told me to take a picture of her with the apple she picked. She's such a nut, she loves asking me to do stuff like that. "Hey mom, take a picture of me standing on one foot!" "Hey mom, take a picture of me by this funny tree!" "Hey mom, take a picture of me making a funny face!"

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-1158208535956627432006-09-13T20:55:00.000-07:002006-09-13T21:35:36.030-07:00Raving like a lunatic...GRR! Whew, that helped a little bit. I'm so irritated today! I know that it's mostly hormones from women things, but why is it that the shit always hits the fan when I'm least able to handle it? Both of my kids have been sick with the constant nose drip...YUCK!!! I think it might be allergies, but I don't know anymore. Last weekend the kids were at their dad's house all weekend. The Monday after they get back is always hard because they just don't sleep as well over there. Well this week it was double. Xander was feeling sick so Jesse didn't make him go to school, which really pissed me off. I'm all for keeping kids home when they're sick, but I'm not going to keep him for a case of the sniffles! I think Jesse just didn't want to take him, and used it as an excuse. So them Yesterday when I tried to get Xander up for school he pulls I'm to sick crap. Now I'm even madder, because before this it had never even occurred to Xander that staying home from school was ever an option...
Both of the kids have been whinny as all hell too. I had to go to Wal-Mart today to pick up sports equipotent for soccer for Xander, and I can't go to Wal-Mart without spending at least $100, so I obviously bought other stuff too. :) The entire time Xander is throwing fits (that are getting progressively louder and more obnoxious) about wanting to buy everything he sees. I tell him that I'm dropping $50 in sports stuff for him, I'm sure as all hell not going to get him movies and video games and race cars and EVERYTHING else in the whole frickin' store.
So anyway...We finally get done (and I forget five things because even though I actually made a list, I left it in the car) and Maya wants to do self checkout, because she loves helping scan. We checkout and everything is all good, and I use my paypal debit and for some reason the entire terminal freezes up. I call the cashier helper lady (that's her official title) over, and she can't unfreaze it, and so calls for a manager. She can't unfreaze it and so has to go see whether or not they received the transaction. It took her forever, only for her to come back and tell me that they didn't receive it, and that I had to have my entire purchase rescanned! She assured me (after I asked a million times) that my card was not processed, and that everything would be fine. I knew that if my card had processed then this second transaction wouldn't go through, because I didn't have enough in my account to buy everything twice. The transaction goes through, so I am feeling good that my card wasn't charged the first time. Until I get home and check my account and remember that I signed up for the debit card back up funding (which at the time sounded really cool) and so not only did it go through, but now it was pulling the money from my linked account. After talking to paypal they tell me that the first transaction was authorized, but most likely will not complete, meaning those funds will go back into my account, but that the back-up funds withdrawal has already been initiated, so I'll need to just transfer the money back to my bank account when it gets there...ACK! That money is my emergency and trip to Vegas fund. It's going to be hard not to spend it when it's sitting in paypal...
So there was my probably nonsensical rant about life in general. I apologize if I offended anyone with my language, but it made me feel better... :)

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-1158119049195823612006-09-12T20:25:00.000-07:002006-09-12T20:46:17.996-07:00New Kit! Between working on my paper line and Xander starting school and Maya starting back up in dance (they took a break for the month of August) and then Xander starting Soccer... I don't even know who I am anymore! It seems like we're always on the run, and always eating out...Yuck! I did really good on my exercise routine for two weeks, and then I stopped...How in the world am I going to loose 20 pounds by the time we go to Vegas for Memory Trends? Anyways...I ramble...
Michelle and I have put out one AMAZING new kit if I do say so myself. It took us forever, but it was well worth it. I don't think I've ever been more satisfied with my element production, and Michelle rocked the paper out. So, needless to say, go check it out!!!
Paper
Elements
Random Link For No Reason

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-1155973992037081732006-08-19T00:45:00.000-07:002006-08-19T00:54:16.563-07:00Time of your Life-Watermelon Whimsy
A while back I did a combo kit with the girls over at the Sweet Dreams Shoppe called Watermelon Whimsy. I've been meaning to make a layout with it for a while, but I'm bad, so I didn't. Here one is now. The song is from Greenday, and I'll admit it, it's one of my all time favorite songs, and I get teary when I hear it. That might sound silly, but it's the truth. It brings back so many memories. I know Greenday is popular again. Good for them, but I liked them way back when, so you can deal with it...And stuff...Anyways, check out the kit, it rawks!

PS...I'm getting my Mojo back!

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-1155601584201500262006-08-14T17:15:00.000-07:002006-08-14T17:26:24.216-07:00Maya the ballerina and the giant tutu...
So I'm making another paper line for scrappin' sports, this one is going to be dance related. With Maya in dance this year I've been really excited, but I'm having such a hard time with creativity that it's been a bit slow going. I thought I should take some photos of Maya that I'll be able to scrap with the paper, and maybe it would inspire me. I had a huge bolt of tulle that I got when a local JoAnns closed a year ago, and for some reason thought that I knew how to sew, and decided to make her a tutu. It turned out OK I guess...but I think it's my last foray into the strange world of fabric for a while. So we went outside and I tried to get her to do some poses. She was NOT cooperating. I took about 100 pictures, and this was the only one I really liked. Go figure...lol. This one was actually taken when she was trying to get out of a pose that I put her in..we'll see if it helps my creativity.

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-1155575910431251552006-08-14T10:07:00.000-07:002006-08-14T10:18:30.443-07:00End of Summer blas...Well, I haven't blogged for a while, but I haven't had much to blog about, so I figured nothing was better then crap...I've had some major allergies for the past few weeks, and I always feel clogged up or drugged out...
I've had about zero creativity and productivity, and any other ivities...
Hopefully this won't last long...lol. In other news, if you don't know already, Romantic Shab is now over at ScrapArtist! We went to Payless Shoes because they were having a back to school sale. We get in there and have his foot measured (a size 1! I can't believe it! he's five!) and we went over to his size. I told him he could have any shoes that he wanted, and to pick them out. This was a big step for me, usually I just tell him what he wants...She he looks at the shoes and says "I want Sketchers. Which ones of these are Sketchers?" I look at him like he's crazy. "Xander, we're at payless, the opposite of anywhere that would sell Sketchers. Besides, how in the world do you even know what sketchers are?" He said "I saw them on TV and they looked SO cool, and I just really want some." Wow. We don't have cable, so 90% of the TV he watches is PBS, with no commercials. He gets to watch a few hours of Saturday Morning cartoons, and that's all it took. The lady next to me was trying shoes on her 7 or 8 year old daughter and was laughing at our little exchange. I know what she was thinking, that this was my first but certainly not my last experience with "gotta have the brand"...Oy vey... Needless to say I picked him out a very good pair of Airwalks...

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24442778.post-1154281513840427412006-07-30T10:44:00.000-07:002006-07-30T11:06:26.306-07:00ScrapArtist ChallengesIt looks like we are back online, hopefully to stay. It was so cool to see my papers in print, and I really wanted to do some type of altered project for Xander (my son) since he did t-ball this summer. I went to my local craft/scrapbook store, and right away I new this was a bad idea. It had been months since I'd been in there, and I didn't know where anything was. I finally found a wooden box that would be perfect and then I had to find some good glue. The stuff I used to use when I did stuff like this either isn't made anymore, or isn't sold at that store anymore, so I had to find something else. It was hard. There were like 50 different kinds, and I had no idea what I was looking for...I finally picked one after I heard Xander mumble something about how long we had been in that isle...I got what I needed and got out of there, relieved that I had no desire to "look around". I got home and opened the box and was surprised to find that it had a smaller box inside of it! Cool, 2 for 1, things were looking up! I told Maya (my daughter) that I would make a box for her too after I was done with Xander's.
So then I started. Things were going pretty good, I had a basic idea of what I wanted. Then when I glued on the first piece of paper I realized that my measurements were a bit off, so I had to trim some off of the bottom. I wanted to ctrl+t and resize it. Then I put my paper on the top, but after I had it glued down I thought that a different angle would have looked better..Free transform>rotate...Then I added a rub on, major PITA!!! I don't remember them sucking so bad, but I guess I didn't know better. I had to push really hard, and it kept wiggling, and then there were wrinkles and one of the corners didn't come off all of the way. Couldn't it just be a .png? Then I added some letter stickers, but I overshot how much room it would take to spell his name, and it wasn't centered. I tried to move it, but it wanted to take my rub-on with it, so there you go. Adding my ribbon was a gluey mess, and I'm still not 100% sure that anything is going to stay on for very long. Now I can call it done and not worry about it every again. That is until Maya told me "Now we can do my box!" I can't believe I got two of them...I having trouble adding pics to blogger tonight, so I'll try again in the morning!

Lorifrenzeric@comcast.net3
