Harman's professional career began in 1962 after moving to Panama City, Fla. Soon after the move, he discovered like-minded friends, who invited him to black nightclubs to see such performers as Little Junior Parker, Jimmy Reed, Little Milton Campbell, Slim Harpo, Bobby Bland, O.V. Wright, B.B. King, Otis Redding, Solomon Burke, Joe Tex and James Carr. He began hanging out on a regular basis and was eventually asked to sit in by local house bands, becoming known as "that boy who sings like a man."
The Tablerockers are influenced by a variety of musical styles that include Delta blues, Chicago and Texas blues, R & B, soul, rock-a-billy, jazz, funk, rock 'n' roll and even country, all filtered through the Tablerockers' blues sensibilities. The result is a high-powered blues attack featuring the smokin' guitar and soulful vocals of Baby Jason Davis, and the tight grooves provided by Larry Boehmer on bass and David Watson on drums. Guitarist and vocalist, Baby Jason, toured for 10 years with his trio, "Baby Jason and the Spankers".
8:30pm tickets $10 adv
www.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=102477252
www.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=227621646

Friday 7/4
Anthony Gomes (Blues/Southern Rock)
with special guest Jimmie Bratcher
9pm tickets 15 adv
www.jimmiebratcher.com
www.anthonygomes.com

Saturday 7/5
Grayson Capps and the Stumpknockers
I write songs which have the voice of dead prophets masquerading as town drunks screaming 'look at us we're pretty, too!' With his amazing fretwork and his unique combination of finger and pick style, he plays through trailblazing "chordal" thoroughfares, often baffling even the most accomplished players. While Monte remains a huge enigma in the guitar universe, his legendary reputation has spread like wildfire since he appeared on Austin City Limits. In 2004 Monte was named on Guitar Player Magazine's list of "Top 50 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time" and in 2005 he was featured the Covers of "Frets" and "Acoustic Guitar" magazines. Countless articles have been written about Monte describing him "The Evel Knivel of Guitar", "Six Strings Attached To Dynamite", "The Answer To The Fermi Paradox" and "The Acoustic Shred Master" just to name a few. Monte's fretwork has become the benchmark for acoustic guitar players. "An American Original", there is no doubt Monte Montgomery is destined to become An American Legend.
9:30 pm tickets $18 adv $22 dos
www.montemontgomery.comKnuckleheads Saloonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00037597495915441045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24406278.post-84328833212579447892008-03-09T17:01:00.000-07:002008-03-09T17:04:26.776-07:00Chubby Carrier, Bluffett, AnnaLee & the Lucky So and So's, Blue Orleans @ Knuckleheads 3/12 - 3/17/2008Wednesday 3/12
AnnaLee & the Lucky So and So's (Swing)
with special guests the Pines
7pm $4 Cover at door
www.thepinesmusic.com

Thursday 3/13
Bluffett (Jimmy Buffett Tribute band)
calling all Parrot Heads it's margarita time
8pm $6 cover at door

Friday 3/14
Chubby Carrier (zyedco)
9pm tickets $15 adv $20 dos

Saturday 3/15
Chubby Carrier (zyedco)
9pm tickets $15adv $20 dos

Monday 3/17
St's Pats Party with Blue Orleans
bar opens at noon Blue Orleans plays 3pm to 7pm
corn beef and Irish Ale and Irish whiskey specials
no coverKnuckleheads Saloonhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00037597495915441045noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24406278.post-14061883011202112932008-03-02T15:27:00.000-08:002008-03-02T15:35:15.532-08:00Wayne "The Train" Hancock, The Derailers, Kasey Rausch, The Wilders, Sugar Blue and MORE @ Knuckleheads 3/5 - 3/9/2008Wednesday 3/5
Wayne "The Train"Hancock (Juke Joint Swing)
with special guests The Garrett Nordstrom Situation
Wayne has been called "the master of Hillbilly swing," a "roots Renaissance man," a "country singer's country singer" and "Hank Williams meets Gershwin."
