Not only is there customer disservice throughout America now, but we have to deal with getting unadvertised services too. I've been hoping to do more entries about things I like, but this got under my skin and needs to be mentioned.

The last photo processing center I attempted to use was through Walmart. This was before I quit my job; therefore, it was work related. I needed photos put on CD and preferred to have them back in an hour. I was told that it would be 2-3 hrs and please check back as their machines were down at the time. I obliged, but upon checking back was told to come back the next day. So I did. CDs were ready then.

Since then, I thought that maybe it was a one time fluke until now when I went to Meijer's one hour photo center. We used three disposable cameras on our honeymoon to Hawaii and I wanted to get them on CD in order to get all the photos online to share with friends and family. I went to the one hour photo center and told them what I wanted. When I mentioned getting them done through one hour I got the following comment, "Not going to happen. The machines are down and it takes three hours to change the chemicals. You will have to come back tomorrow."

Oddly enough, I was ok with this and went on my merry way, until today. I have the CDs with photos on them and I'm sitting here rotating all photos as they are upside down. Oh, and at least one photo has a sliver of another photo attached to it.

I can understand needing to work on the machines, but the more it sits in my mind I keep wondering how it can take 3 hours to change chemicals. It was around 4pm when I dropped these disposable cameras off. And from my understanding most one hour photo centers don't close until 9pm. Then, when I do get my CDs, all the photos are upside down. How hard is it to put the photos on there correctly? And I don't want to hear crap about the machine doing it that way and "we" have no control over it.

All I have to say is "whatever."

I hope to God that America gets back to caring about others in the very near future, because all this disservice is starting to ware on me.

Tags: One Hour Photo Center, Walmart, Meijer's, Customer Disservice, Disposable Cameras

Powered by Qumana

vanillahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15208294012905593097noreply@blogger.com
