I am always looking for artists who work with spiritual themes, and here was a real collection of different work.Three artists that I really like, sadly dead now, Albert Herbert and Norman Adams and Cecil Collins but lovely to Padmayoginihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15291459057310941368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24355796.post-19324775121725276642009-06-22T20:43:00.009+01:002009-06-22T21:41:20.418+01:00Artists Car Boot Fair.It was the 5th Artists car boot fair recently in part of the Truman Brewery site down Brick Lane.I hadn't been for a couple of years and there were probably even more artists and people visiting this year. It was a really hot day which meant even covered in sun tan cream I couldn't stay to long, unfortunately.Richard Clegg had some amazing cacti sculptures in car parts, I really liked the idea, Padmayoginihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15291459057310941368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24355796.post-51027618498418051992009-06-11T16:02:00.013+01:002009-06-12T17:08:04.180+01:00Waltham Forest Summer exhibition. and May Day.The Arts Club Summer Exhibition went well. There was a good selection of work exhibited, including sculpture, prints, photographs and paintings. As usual my work is very different from last years. I have been working on some 'wanted' posters, using examples of behaviour that goes against the law in some way, but using birds instead of humans. This is what I wrote about the work for the exhibition. In this piece I have explored Padmayoginihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15291459057310941368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24355796.post-81939079410326838862009-05-26T17:59:00.007+01:002009-05-26T19:00:57.551+01:00Gerhard Richter and Francis Alys FabiolaI just caught the Gerhard Richter exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery, I had been wanting to see his work for some time.
