And it
was so close, that our
entire house would shake
while it past by.

I too would run to see
the train with my little
brother whenever we heard
it coming. We would race
to the backyard chainlink
fence and grab on to it
while trying to wave to the
conductor and motion
him to toot the horn.
We would get so excited
if he actually waved back
and tooted the horn.

It's funny because, I look
back now and realize we
didn't have much money
back then and that's why
we lived so close to
a train track. But from
a child's perspective
I thought we were lucky
to have that train.umeboshi onigirihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04951699799981706783noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24294398.post-69162371504692416472008-04-17T16:27:00.000-07:002008-04-17T16:27:00.000-07:00Thanks all of you. No fences either, no security, so things would happen there.

Anon. I wish I had more to show you. From my house about a block or so away, I could hear the train. I remember hearing the train, and getting on my bike to ride up and see it. It would stop there because of the Zody's warehouse. The tracks also continued up Sepulveda where the AT&T and so on. It would cross the busy intersection, and go up near the buildings which were warehouses. The tracks also went straight across Exposition to Bergamont station (I guess). I never followed it that way.

Jeff! Yes, I think I may have more, but I know I did shoot some in black and white, which isn't as compelling. I tried to tag at this time, and did a tiny tiny bit, but it didn't catch on for me. I was more of a fan, and enjoyed watching some of these dudes paint.grhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06201891791568746231noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24294398.post-56743888160749337022008-04-17T16:16:00.000-07:002008-04-17T16:16:00.000-07:00Excellent blogging!
