But it would bear fruit once a year. I heard you can leave the avocados on the tree and let them grow until they fall off, since they only ripen/soften after they've been picked.<BR/><BR/>Also, watch out for avocado theieves! They're expensive at the market. Thievery is common at large commercial groves.
