I'm so excited to introduce the combined efforts of Garden Lane Photography and Sweet Charity Beads! These will also be featured on my Mom's jewelry website. We will combine our talents and 50% of all our profits will be donated to Cancer Center at Christiana Care in Delaware. For photography clients, you'll be able to order these immediately following your session proofs.

This is a variation of my original photo charms. As usual, these are waterproof and durable; however, these are a bit more fragile due to the beauty of the natural stones and sterling silver.

I so love my Magnolia tree. Climbing it in Crocs with my camera hanging from my neck to get this shot may not have been the smartest thing for me to do... but, I'll do anything to get a good one!

I know! It's only January! But I just couldn't resist. My little Nicholas is so excited to hand these out at school. If you're interested in your very own Valentine like this, just give me a call...we can use planes, trains, hershey kisses, just about anything your little one loves. LOL: We tried a Power Ranger heart but it looked a little bizarre so we went with an older obsession.

Graphic Design Services

Below is a sample of the graphic design I offer to photography clients. These are 4.5x5 folded cards printed on heavy cardstock paper, just like a regular Hallmark Greeting Card. They come with white envelopes but I love to upgrade to fun-colorful-sparkly envelopes if you so desire! We can do thank you cards, birthday invitations, birth announcements, communion invitations...anything you can think of. Sizes are 5x5 folded, 5x5 trifold, 5x7 flat (like the Christmas Cards I offered) or 5x7 folded (horizontal or vertical!)

What a great day at the beach! A few teasers...

What To Wear

As you're preparing for your Holiday photos and thinking about what to put on those kiddies (and yourselves!) to make a real statement, I came accross a company that has done alot of the footwork for us - no, surprisingly not Pottery Barn but the other giant -- GAP. Go to www.gap.com click on the Kids clothing tab and look for Picture This. They've got GREAT ideas about stylish but not too trendy clothes for boys and girls.

Of course, if you have a t-shirt (or spiderman costume) that your kids just cannot live without, by all means, let's take that picture. Make them happy, then make yourselves happy (and the grandparents), and try out the layered look for boys and plaid gone rad for girls. Clothing changes are a good thing!

Moms and Dads -- if you're in the photo (HINT - dress as if you will be just in case :) Dress fun but elegant -- nice jeans and accessories, heels for moms & cordoroy jackets for dads.

This may be a Christmas/Holiday card, but who wants photos of Santa sweaters all year long in their living room? If you're spending the time with a photographer, make it worthwhile!

One last thing -- bright colors and patterns are fantastic for showing personalities...just be careful not to clash with each other. We don't all need to wear white t-shirts and denim but try to stay away from Stewart plaid on one, stripes on the other :)

It's a challenge for pre-teen photography...they certainly aren't babies...but they're not ready for senior portraits either. Hopefully I captured this young lady's romantic personality...Textures can be so much fun!
