Bens Kosher Deli Slowley Bitting The Dust
Bens Deli has already closed its Baldwin Store, The Huntington Bens Express,and now the Bayside bay terrace is on its way out, the Long Island headquarters in Hicksville is history. whats left? , I believe 1 in Flushing ,1in Manhattan 1 in GreenvAle and I believe other than Florida , 1 in Woodbury L.I. Roosevelt Field ( Food Court) and Carle Place L.I.
The days of the old Bens with the winter spectacle of the Matzoh Ball contests are gone for good. All the trappings and trimmings of the Matzah Ball Contest Have long been removed from the Bens restaurants , like a city that has been swallowed by an earthquake, showing absolutely not an spec of semblance of a once grand contest. If Bens would perhaps either invest in a new chef and new receipes maybe it can survive without the hoopla of a contest as it once had , which was instrumental in the birth of competitive eating as a sport.end

The judging was unbeleivable perfect the refill plates were right there, the extra person was there to watch and flip the tally cards , the announcer was first class with an unbelievableintroduction. all contest should be conducted this way , it should be the blue print for all events

The Go! Go! Curry Contest Results & Happenings of The Day

I arrived early at 3pm . I was there with my entourage , my nephew my niece ( which I didn't have to pay them to be there ) my sister and 2 friends of my nephew along with kevin & lorraine lipsitz and family all honored me by wearing the offical Don Lerman tee shirt.
I saw Joe Menchetti drive by the meeting was most pleasant between him and myself and Dale Boone, We all shook hand sand exchanged pleasantries for a good hour before the contest , There was no friction between us whatsoever. The introductions was fantastic, the seating was determined by the qualifier finishes myself and Dale Bone sat in the back row on stools as apposed to chairs as the first 3 qualifiers with best times, Paul Porkslap,Masato and Joe Menchetti sat in the front row The refill bowls were right there as well as the water unlike some events that I competed in in the past . Kazuko the organizer of the event was most pleasant as were the press
. . I haven't pushed myself that hard for a long time when it was over I was extremely bloated until 11pm at night when it dissipated. I will have pictures of the contests later on. I hit 3rd place and unlike eroneus reporting on other blogs I did not puke during the contest , I let some phlegm out after wards thats all, I want to thank the promoter of the event as well as my fan base for supporting me in this event.and the 1st and 2nd place winners Joe Mencheti with 28 bowls nd Dale Boone with 25 bowls and the rest of the field of entries in the contest Thank You .... Don Lerman's Completes Final Stage of Dental Implants

Don Lerman after undergoing15hrs of dental surgery,6 1/2 hrs to pull 14 teeth while awake and another 6 1/2 hr procedure in the Or while asleep to put the implants in and a final 3hr procedure has completed the final dental surgery after nearly one year with only the actual teeth fitting left, as of now he ha been wearing a full denture a year and says if I have to I can eat rice and curry without any denture just as well
