This week we have seen more orders being placed for graduation balloons. From custom balloon bouquets to balloon columns and balloon arches.

Pictured here is a Balloon Arch that was done in Rancho Santa Margarita yesturday that was created using teal and black balloons on a stationary frame.

But our balloon arches are a great way to bring attention to your event and are easly created on site my our experienced staff.

This second arch was also created for a year end school event that took place yesterday. Using brightly colored balloons you can see how this balloon arch brings color to this event enahncing the water slide in the back ground. I think its time to go get my swim trunks.

25th Anniversary Tustin Street Fair And Chili Cook Off

After a long day of enduring the Hot Sun and even hotter chili tasting at the Tustin Street Fair and Chili Cook Off, we get to reflect upon an event that brought 40,000 visitors to the Old Town Tustin area. This event is also known for the largest single day cook off in the entire world.

We decided to setup a vendor booth to showcase many of the flower arrangements as well as some of the unique balloons that we feature on our website. This year we decided to do something special for the city of Tustin as well.

Since August of 2007 we have spent much time working on our skills for constructing balloon arches & balloon columns. We have done many over the past two years and wanted to take the next step which was constructing an even larger balloon arch. This one was constructed using 300 16 inch Red and Silver latex balloons.

I must say it was a little more difficult then we imagined. The Balloon Arch stretched 85 Feet long and was constructed on the corner of El Camino Real and El Camino Way. It took approximately 1 hour 1/2 to construct and was moved from the Construction Site to the Corner of Main Street and El Camino Real where it raised over the street lights measuring 25 feet high.

Everyday Flowers donated this massive balloon arch for the 25th anniversary of the event. We would like to thank the City of Tustin and of course want to congratulate all of the winners of this years Chili Cook off.

It was a great experience and we thank all of the visitors that stopped by our booth this year. We made new friends with many of the local vendors that participated this year and of course we sampled a good amount of chili as well. We even had the chance to see our good friends from Pizza Shack located in Tustin at the event.

This week will be a very busy week as the staff here at Everyday Flowers prepare for the Mothers Day Holiday. As we began to prepare for this week we are looking for ways to help our customers during these difficult times. We will be offering more locally grown California flowers this year to help keep down the cost of sending flowers this Mothers Day. Just like most businesses we have seen our share of hard times since the economic slow down and know that our customers are feeling the same difficulties. Sending flowers as a gift this year has become more difficult as we hear of other flower shops closing around us. Consumers have cut back on their spending and are looking for ways to spend their money wisely.

Specials for Mother's Day flowers are slowly being offered by larger companies. The continued trend of misleading advertising began to flood the search results on search engines promising cheaper and more inexpensive flower arrangements delivered by a local florist. We want to remind our customers and to all of the consumers that purchase flowers that those deep discounts and misleading ads come at price. The consumer will end up paying a little more in the way of convenience and service fees. The local florist also will share a percentage of each transaction that is funneled through these Order Gatherers.

The larger companies do not create and hand deliver your flower arrangements. They do not wake up in the early morning hours and shop for the freshest flowers available at the flower market. They are just the middleman looking for a way to siphon a piece of the transaction between the consumer and the florist.

We have just completed a new section on our website feature star balloons. Well its February 1st and that means one of the biggest holidays in the flower industry is just around the corner. This year Valentine's Day falls on Saturday February 14th and with the presidents day holiday on Monday we are expecting more orders then usually to be delivered early. We had the opportunity to create this large serpentine balloon arch for the T3 Motion Headquarters located in Irvine California.

This balloon arch was constructed using the companies logo colors of red black and silver creating a 38 Ft long balloon arch. This is a great way to bring attention to your business and the larger you go the more attention you get. We like to thank the people at T3 Motion for letting us create this balloon arch for their event.

Well its that time of year again and we have been working hard on some of our new Christmas flower arrangements that will be available on our website. This year we have already seen some interest in some of our new products that have been just added to the website.

One of our returning products is our Lush Christmas Cube. Football Theme Balloon Arch

Yesterday we had the opportunity to create another Serpentine Balloons Arch at one of Foothill High Schools Football Games. This arch was constructed on site with black and gold balloons to form the serpentine arch. We used three 28 inch Football Shaped Mylar Balloons and atached them to the top of the arch.

This summer wedding season was little lighter then normal however it seems that most brides have moved their weddings to the fall this year.

Our frist wedding took place at the Balboa Bay Club Resort located in Newport Beach. This event included a complete set up of on of our White Gazebo and included the Brides Bouquet with White Mini Calla Lilies. Brides Maids Bouquet where made with Pink Peekaboo Roses and the centerrpieces where created using White Hydranga. Wedding Flowers At The Balboa Bay Club & Resort In Newport Beach.

Our second event was a Wedding Reception at the Too Faced Cosmetics building that included centerpieces made with Manzanita Branches with Green Cymbidum Orchids Blue/Green Hydranga Pink And Jade Green Roses. We created this arrangement with a ceramic container and attached the orchids to the end of the branches.

Long and Low centerpieces where also created using pink roses peach roses jade roses gree dendrobium orchids pink lisianthus gerbera daises and blue/green hydranga.

Well its the beginning of November and soon we will know who will be the next President of the United States. The past three months have see some incrediable changes not only in the economy but in the floral business. Recently we have see some big and smaller flower shops within our area close their doors. We here can't even imagine making that difficult decssion but as consumers change the way they purchase their flowers it becomes more difficult to compete with the growing online presence of flower ordering. This is one of the reasons we decided to create our own website for ordering our products. It's not an easy thing to do and the amount of time that is required to create and update is a full time job in itself. Our website has just completed its 4th year anniversary and we are more excited today about the continue changes that we have implemented on our online store.

We have been working to recreate many of the images that are featured on our website. By taking more time to work on our lighting and photography skills we have updated many of our original designs with newer and crisp looking pictures. We recently updated our Mixed Colored Rose Arrangement to really reflect what this beautiful arrangeemnt looks like when it is delivered. Our Rose and Orchid Arrangement pictured here that was taken on February 6, 2006 still looks great after we where able to zoom in on the arrangement to give upclose view of this one of kind rose arrangement.

One of our newest arrangemetns was recently added to the website that took one of our Tropical Designs that a customer recently ordered and had choosen to upgrade the arrangement. This tropical arrangement has continued to evolve since we first introduced it to our website in 2003. The container has changed but the design has continued on.

One of our newest sections of our website that was created in August of 2007 was our Balloons page. This section has continued to grow over the past year in which we have just began to add more balloons related to the seasonal balloon products that are coming available. Its taken over a year to create this section and to continue to update it with new and exciting products that are coming available in the balloon industry. What our customers don't relize is the amount of work that goes into this section. Its not just taken a photo and uploading it onto the website.

There is much more work going on behind the scens including locating the products and developing them in our store. There are some great suppliers to help us supply our store with these balloons products. However with these changing times it is becoming more difficult to locate specific balloons at just one source. We have contacted distributers all over the United States to bring our customers many of the choice we have when it comes to our balloons.

One of our newest products has been the Qualatex Bubble Balloons that are actually made with a stretchy plastic material that when filled correctly will have a smooth round surface versus the myllar balloons that have the crumpled service around the seem. Not only do these balloons look special but they last for up to 4 weeks and can be easly refilled.

A new category that we just recntly added to the website is our New Years Balloons section. We have just completed another new line of products added to our designers series section of our website. What we like to do is take a color scheme and create a number of different style arrangements. This new line of products is called Sage & Lavender Designers Series.

Well with our first year complete since we introduced more balloons on our website and inside of our balloon store. We have decided to add a popular request from customers when sending birthday balloons to someone that has just become a little older. We all like to play games on our friends when they reach those older years.

This past weekend we had another opportunity to create a balloon arch. However this one was going to be slightly different then our previous serpentine balloon arches. This one features 16 inch geo blossom balloons creating individual flower balloons.

Creating these balloon arches does take proper planing to insure that materials and equipment are available when we arrive on site. Just like many of the events that we do outside of our store we love the challenge and we do love to see our completed work.
