We had two great nights in a row last week.
First on Wednesday Agaskodo Teliverek and The Mae Shi made the Old Blue Last a very sweaty place and then on Thursday, the Hoxton Square Bar, almost bursting with crowd, saw three great performances by Wet Paint, Part Chimp and Chrome Hoof.
The bar staff and even the toilet attendant was loving it...

We'd like to thank the bands, the numerous and hungry crowd and all those who helped us along...

Oli 'n' Clive love Christmas.

While others pump out clouds of humbug, moaning of over-commercialisation and having to spend time with dreaded family, and money on presents, Oli and the Clive skip gaily through snow-filled streets, a carol on their lips and Christmas cheer aplenty in their mulled-wine-soaked hearts.

This Christmas, they have distilled some of that cheer into a double A-side of festive joy, featuring two of the world's all-time favourite carols:
Little Donkey, which revels in the joys of the season of giving with its cheery and generous pomp,

and Silent Night, whose wistful melancholy will comfort many a youthful chimney sweep as he contemplates the single lump of coal he received from his stern maiden aunt and guardian, and wonders why his parents left him to a life of hardship and solitude.

If you are looking for a little something to put in your socks this christmas then your search is over....out DEC 10TH

Oli 'n' Clive Launch

I arrive expecting to see rolls of fabric hung up on the walls and on the floor but this Carpet Shop is now home to Oli, some of Clive and one of the RumbleStrips.. Decorated with fairy lights, plants and antique home furnishings, its the perfect setting for Oli 'n' Clive to sing their country folk songs and try out that unusual saw sound on the eager and animated audience who fill the top floor, stairs and even the basement. Wet Paint then takes over and turns it up a notch or two ending with their raucous cover of 'Excuse Me'. Very nice indeedy.

The eternal battle between music and visual lead to great things last Thursday at the ICA.
Max Hattler was providing his amazing and surreal visuals behing Economy Wolf's amazing one-off set written for the occasion, the room was full and in the last minutes of the performance, Johannes Ender even came all the way from Germany to give the first-ever live rendition of his demented dancing...
