Wynn, Jenn and I will be hanging out somewhere on Sunday before Wynn leaves Singapore.

Why am I blogging about this? Cos it's not like anything that happens everytime! I haven't met Wynn for more than 10 years! Jenn and I seldom meet each other too (partly cos I seldom go out). We only went out (just the 2 of us) once in so many years. She just finished her A levels and will be proceeding to NUS (or NTU?) soon, not sure if we will have time for each other again!

All my Singaporean cousins have different frequencies as I do, and the girls and I share almost nothing in common. They are all nice people though. Though I meet them more often than my cousins in Indonesia, I prefer the latter.

My Indon-couzzies and I belong to the same 'species'. We love shopping, love to doll-up, dress up. I know there are many kinds of these girls around, but in my family, it's rare! Plus Wynn and Jenn are only 1 year apart from my age, one is 22, another 20!

Looking forward to go out! I guess taking public transport will be a better way of taking my foreign cousin around? Weeee.. can't wait! I must get well by then! Cos having fever causes pimples!
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-87149419000985715922008-07-21T02:11:00.004+08:002008-07-21T16:26:16.235+08:00Sick sick sickI guess staying at home all day for more than a month causes your immunity to bacteria to weaken. I will fall sick as soon as someone within my 2-metre radius coughs. Damn..

My frequency of updates has fallen drastically as compared to June.. as you can see, I'm really kinda so occupied! With tidying, tuition, school, Caesar, etc etc. My whole house was a mess, a BIG mess, HORRIBLE mess. Trust me when I say it's horrible, I'm not close to being a natty person, so when I say the mess was horrible, it's actually shockingly repulsive to at least 90% of you out there.

BUT finally it's really presentable now!

It's till now then I realise AGAIN that a pent house is usually windy! There were too many pieces of furniture at home and it blocked the air-flow, thus, no wind. But it's so different now! And my house definitely looks more spacious this time.

Another update, I'll be starting my training for 10km from tomorrow onwards. It's no kick for hubby cos he's running 12km once every week, but for a tiny girl who hasn't been in touch with sports since graduation from college? Jogging with Caesar was kinda cheesy as compared to 10km I'm sure. The most we'll jog is 3km before Caesar gets heat exhaustion. I usually just throw Caesar in a pool and do 'eye-exercise' - watch him swim.

I'm sure doing more work outs will strengthen my immune system too. Carbo-loading's a must for me before exercise cos my body burns off fats faster than most people. That will mean I need more carbo than most people I guess.. which is kinda scary cos I remembered having blurred vision and vomitting everytime after the 2.4km run in secondary school. Before you say I'm weak, I actually came in 1st for girls.. all the time throughout the 4 years in school.

But no one knew that I will always vomit after the run, cos I'll usually be done with the disgusting regurgitation before the sencond girl enters the toilet. HAHA. My timings? Not fantastic as compared to the female runners I knew in college (so I'll not put it here), I believe I was lucky to run with the really weak runners in secondary school throughout the 4 years? Can only say it's 11+ minutes.

Really excited about the run actually. I haven't participated in any marathons outside school, and the longest I'm ran non-stop was only 5km. PLUS I've been slacking A LOT for 3 years. 10km is really kinda of a big deal to me.. will my knee-cap split?? Cos that happened to a schoolmate when I was in college!
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-48476287202848279352008-07-19T19:25:00.005+08:002008-07-19T19:38:22.395+08:00Dogs for adoptionHi all, there are 3 lovely dogs up for adoption. The deep sea is the largest habitat on earth and is largely unexplored. More people have traveled into space than have traveled to the deep ocean realm...." - The Blue Planet Seas of Life

Then again, I'll be sharing with you one of my favourite topics - The Mysterious deep sea!

Let's start-off with the layers of the sea. There are together 5 zones, and more than 80% are in complete darkness if without the presence of light produced by luminiscent creatures (creatures that produce their own light).

Image copyright Sea and Sky

No sunlight reaches the Midnight Zone and the Abyss, which covers the ocean till its basin. The temperature of the water is also freezing cold. Water pressure at this zone is high, and because of the absence of plants due to lack of sunlight, the level of oxygen is extremely low too. But despite the harsh environment, quite a number of creatures inhabit these waters! The sperm whales are known to dive down to the Midnight Zone in search of food too! Some creatures living deeper than this zone do not have eyes, cos they don't need them!

In the Hadalpelagic Zone, which consist of mostly deep sea trenches and canyons, has a temperature of just above freezing. Invertebrates such as tubeworms and starfish can be found in these crushing depths. The deepest point in the ocean is located in the Mariana Trench off the coast of Japan at 35,797 feet (10,911 meters). Most living creatures found here are usually enormous.

If mermaids do live in the deep sea, imagine how they'll look like! No eyes, sharp teeth, red in colour... do you even think they'll have nice smooth-skinned naked bodies?? I bet they have claws too.
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-9094825895720911112008-07-18T01:11:00.005+08:002008-07-18T03:24:29.377+08:00Time of the year... again
THE SHEDDING SEASON!

For your infomation, I haven't brushed the other side of Caesar,

those are clumps of fur collected from only HALF of

my baby boy. I borrowed the furminator brush from Sihui cos

I lost mine! Must have misplaced it somewhere in the house... hmmm..

You said you want to get an arctic breed, are you ready for this?

His coat is so much thinner now, which is a good thing cos it's a lot cooler for him in our climate. BUT his full-coat is gonna bloom in another couple of months for the "winter" (I meant rainy) season.

Bought this to try out on Caesar. I have no idea what caused his skin problems, there could be a handful of factors that affected his skin sensitivity. Vet's medications don't seem to work and I was told that the main ingredients in the medications are very "general", in a sense that they don't really target the root cause of problems.

This's an oral supplement that deals with pimples on dogs. 1 drop for every 5lbs. Caesar's about 150lbs, around there I think. That woud mean 30 drops, 3-4 times daily. Don't think this will last me for even a month. Cost me about $40, I let you know again if it's really effective! Oh yes, tea-tree antiseptic cream works very very well for small hotspots!
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-4211058043395489442008-07-13T23:08:00.003+08:002008-07-14T01:46:10.666+08:00Hubby又回camp了。。。

Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-71681891264997060592008-07-12T23:45:00.015+08:002008-07-14T03:17:11.235+08:00I went to Suntec again! This round, armed with a better camera! I borrowed Sihui's DSLR and her newly bought zoom-lens(which cost like $$$$$$), so I can zoom in clearly into hubby's face! But of course, those pictures are for ME to view, so I'm just gonna tell you roughly what was happening with the help other pictures taken today.

Where's my hubby?
Spot the one that has SLIGHT resemblance of Vanness Wu! Hmm actually this looks more like hubby when he was in college, fair, thin, with THAT kinda hair and spects. Not as handsome as Vanness in this picture of course, Vanness's a celebrity!

OK BACK TO HUBBY.
Took this photo from the 3rd level of the convention centre)

Found him? The second from the top, on our left.

Something nearly cracked me up during the colour casing ceremony (if I've gotten the term right). My reaction to it was "oops?". One of the three units was not alert enough and most of them in THAT unit followed the wrong command! They turned right when they weren't supposed to. HOW embarrassing!! LOL. Hmmm, not nice to point out names, I can only tell you they were in ALL-WHITE?

Hubby spotted me!
Saw that handsome lad in the 1st row, looking in my direction?

OMG OMG, hubbyyyy!!! Marry meeee!! *drools*
He looks short here, but in actual fact, those around him are freaks taller than 181cm!!!
Opps sorry I don't mean to call them freaks!

I stood under the sun without the protection of SPF, just to follow wherever the commandos were and to capture their pictures. I was like their official STALKER, appearing wherever they were as long as it's within my abilities. You know hubby's already 181cm tall, and the others around him were taller! (I was thinking that I'll really look "outstanding" if I were to be standing around them)

See those tiny red dots in the sky?

Know what are those?

Met Sihui after 6pm, apparently I have wrongly adjusted the camera mode without knowing it, which explains why all of them look like marching-zombies in the pictures. Nonetheless, I think I have fell in love with the DSLR! I didn't think I need one, but now I do! But my cannon IS860 hasn't even turned 1 year old.. maybe I'll wait for another year or two when my compact camera stops functioning.
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-12555997532332250582008-07-12T00:44:00.004+08:002008-07-12T01:08:19.749+08:00When was the last time I blogged?Seems like a century to me..

Went for dinner with hubby today.. not much pictures taken cos.. you know... we were famished.
These are the 1st few dishes served just now..

Dinner wasnt so bad, it was okay, nothing really special and appealing to my tastebuds. It's not mine, it's my brother's. I didn't know the existance of this pet until recently. Why would anyone want a pet lobster???? You can't hug them, they can't welcome you at your door, they can't have fun with you at the park or .. beach..

Caesar knew I was dead busy with my school work, and he decided to help me rush some assignments. Been really a long long time since I've been there (ok maybe 1 month). As usual, hubby will always help me ask the waitress for a fork, cos I don't use chopstick. Not that I'm proud if it, but I think using chopstick makes you eat really slow, especially when you are not good at using it. ANYWAY, I was surprised when the supervisor served me my ramen with a fork in it! She said something like "Oh you got youself a fork already!"

I seriousy didn't expect her to even recognise me, let alone my habit of having ramen with a fork, cos we've never really spoken before. But come to think of it, other than this year, hubby and I have been regulars for the past 3 years. It's not a big deal she remembers us and my weird habit, it's how this little thing she's done that made me appreciate her service. I seriously won't mind going there on regular basis again!

P.S I have a few packs of pet food to be given away. Any volunteer in shelters that wanna bring it for the homeless? It's Canine Caviar, my boy's so spoilt that now he won't eat that without milk. Time to change his menu.. I can't find time to go to any shelters to deliver it. It was said that Dawn used to read and leave comments on Arissa's blog, but she 'disappeared' for awhile and reappeared as mini Arissa.

In case you are curious and still do not know...

Arissa's Blog!
http://arissaluna.moonfruit.com/

P.S Check out the Samsung Ad below this entry and see what they've got to offer!
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-54204493575140095442008-07-05T21:30:00.019+08:002008-07-07T00:49:06.608+08:00I spent my time at..Suntec City today. Am really busy actually, but it's a really an important thing that I get out of my house to that place because....

I was there to witness my Hubby's 1st march-pass!

Don't you think we look so-damn-sweet together? Haha.
How I wish that's my height without high-heels.

I realise a number of people have a misconception that NSF Commandos in Singapore are the more "acadamically-disinclined". But that is so wrong, there's a handful of JC graduates and in fact, most are from prestigious colleges! Come to think of it, they need people to operate very advanced technologies, how can they entrust these responsibilities to the not-so-clever ones? Go check out what do the red/maroon berets represent in the military. How can an ELITE force be made up of those people? How can those people do airborne?

So stop asking if my hubby is stupid. He's not, in fact, fairly intelligent! According to statistic, he's more acadamically-inclined than 80% of the Singapore poplation!

Here are a few poorly-taken pictures taken today. A lil depressing to look at but well.. I'm starting to consider about a REAL camera, like Sihui's. Afterall, what I'm using is still a compact camera.

That man in red spoilt my picture!!!

Just look at how tall they are! Hubby's 181cm but blends in with the rest.

I bet I'll look really outstanding if I'm standing there.

2 old schoolmates from the SAF band unit saw hubby during the rehearsal. We were all from the same band in college. But these two fags didn't even say 'hi' when they saw an old friend. Let's just call one of the Kelly, hubby realised Kelly was lookin in his direction. Before hubby could smile, Kelly turned and looked away! Kelly's a fairly good-looking guy, but WEAK, emotionally and physically. Too skinny, too short for a guy too.

Another fag shall be called Nancy in my blog. Hubby didn't see him despite his fat and exceptionally ugly looks. Worse, nothing nice comes out from Nancy's filthy mouth since day 1 we know him. Nancy has no looks, intelligence, strength, he's fat, and his personality is comparable to his looks - often likes to brag about how rich he is.. is he? I don't think so. Anyway, he asked another commando, "RJ in commando meh? Can't tell leh.." Nancy knows hubby, and didn't bother to say 'hi'. What a nancy-pancy..

No one knows which unit hubby's from, cos he doesn't go around telling people that, not even his relatives. He felt that this will somehow make him go out-of-place when all his friends from other common units talk about NS.
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-46586578534520239802008-07-03T23:26:00.007+08:002008-07-03T23:51:14.507+08:00Primitive Shark - The Frilled SharkCheck out this interesting-looking shark! Sightings of such living fish are rare cos they usually lives thousands of feet beneath the surface of the sea. It looks so... WEIRD!! This fish was spotted in Japan, on the 21st of January, 2007. it was transferred to a seawater pool BUT died hours later! They believe it may have been found because it was weakened or ill.

This "living fossil" is believed to be joining its ancestors soon! Extinct forever!

Copyright. Caesar's so happy! Well I am of course more than just happy! We haven't met each others for like centuries.. can't wait for his ord!

Granny made 30 'wonton' for me today, hubby and I decided to deep fry them. BUT we stopped after the 6th particially-burnt wanton. I love wonton!! I mean just look at him! He's the cutest baby you can ever find! You know mals are friendly dogs, but somehow Caesar gets defensive of me from some seemingly innocent strangers.. on random basis? I really can't read his mind on that. Those people smell bad or something? I gotta be careful of guy-strangers who want to go near him in the future. From what I've noticed, Caesar likes pretty girls and young children.

Anyway..

This is Caesar, doing a show-off to his furry friends..

Not some high-end treat, but Caesar LOVES this! Smells great too, seriously, like 'bah kwa'. I seldom award such treats though, cos I'm worried too much of certain ingredients in it may be harmful.. but I thought Caesar would like a change of taste from fish fillet! So just a lil!

P.S My new air-con is on the way!! Can't wait till Friday. New refrigerator and LCD TV + washing machine coming on Sunday!
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-17657622885551275262008-07-01T00:33:00.005+08:002008-07-01T00:49:09.543+08:00I need feedbacks..Tell me in the comments section.. What the 1st thing that comes to your mind when you hear "Ice-blend Beef Smoothie".

I'm so proud of myself that I made my own carbonara pasta. Easy, you just cook the noodle, heat up the sauce, mix them, tadah! CARBONARA PASTA! I can pass-off as a good housewife. Hubby's so lucky..

If you're wondering why I had to prepare my own dinner, what I saw on the dining table initially was a dish of chicken, yucky greeny stuff (veg), seafood, seafood, SEAFOOD!!!!! What a 'wonderful' meal. I wanted to just skip dinner but was afraid of gastritis (mine's a real bad one), plus I can't afford to lose weight,or I'll look skin and bones with my cheeks sunk in!!

I'm setting a target to hit 40kg in 2 months time. According to my BMI, if I haven't mistaken, I should be 43kg.. or was it 44?. Just so sick that doctors like to ask me questions in a pre-reprimand kind of tone.. "Are you on a diet?"

Hello, I eat more than 90% of the girls do okay.. and sometimes I 'force' myself to eat till I bloat.. not the other way round. Effort was put in!!!

So friends, if you are bored and feel like treating someone to good food, there's always Genevieve! Cos I have close friends whom I seldom spend time with. You know, I'm a stay-home person. It's not easy to get me out of the house unless I'm going out with Caesar. This blog enables me to update my friends about me when we don't meet! What's even better is, I update all of them at once!

SIHUI!!! You'll be so thrilled to hear this.... I SAW A WOLLY MAL! Apparently, Caesar and this Anver/Enver boy met long long time ago. They can't get along now of course. And this wolly boy is HUGE... heee.. smaller than Caesar though.. he looks bigger than Sky too!

But more handsome than Caesar!! I can die without it man, haven't brushed Caesar with it for such a long time already.

Actually, I do have a lot of interesting things I wanna share with you guys but I couldn't find the time to do it. Well I'm pretty sure it's self-explanatory to a number of friends and readers (well I prefer to call my readers my friends too actually) that I've been kept really occupied.

This picture was taken few days ago, somewhere. I just got bored.. and cold too..

I think I don't look shocked enough in this picture.
Some people say I look much younger w/o make-up. Do I? Oh well in this picture I did conceal my eye-rings cos I've been sleep-deprieved again.

Hmmm, so where was I? Working during the holidays? I was in sports attire mind you, the 'photographer' cut off my shoes for some reason I do not know. huh Joel? What reasons? And no make-up, what are the places I'll go without make-up? Who's office/workplace allows such attires?

Not telling you where I've been! For those who know, 'shhhhhhhhhhh...'.

P.S Someone asked if I am a runner by looking at this picture.. just wanna say I find him really observant! Yea I was, but I've stopped those hard-core trainings centuries ago. And I do not jog so often with Caesar now because of the weather. Like only twice a week? Swimming is best for him. It works out more muscles in the body and Caesar feels cool throughout! So I opted for the better exercising regime for my baby!
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-62386183992136307942008-06-26T20:55:00.004+08:002008-06-26T21:07:10.725+08:00DAMMIT!All the shifting of furniture, packing, and unpacking, resulted in the disappearance of Caesar's BEST de-shedding rake - FURMINATOR!!!! DAMN DAMN DAMN!!!

It's the best rake ever for de-shedding Caesar's inner wolly coat, but it's gone now!! Have no idea where it is! Cost me a freaking $90++ and it served me less than a year before it decided to disappear! I've tried using other older rakes and de-shedding blades, and I'm so sick of them cos they are just no where near to be comparable to my FURminator rake!

I swear by FURminator, it's the best tool for double-coated breeds, go and find out more doggie owners!

Can I borrow a furminator rake from someone for a week? Regardless of size!
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-45807338862560206922008-06-23T23:59:00.005+08:002008-06-24T19:05:52.230+08:00I'm gonna be really busyand I may not be updating daily anymore, cos in the 4 weeks ahead, I can foresee a mudane lifestyle, getting occupied 24/7 with the exact same thing everyday, mainly TIDYING UP my place. I had no idea we have SO MANY things at home!

I'm getting increasingly annoyed about a certain group of people who discriminates Asians just because they speak better English. Come on, to think one's proficiency in English justifies all or almost everything?? How intelligent is that?

AND, why pick on Asian's accent in English? The accents of English spoken by people ALL OVER THE GLOBE are all influenced by the accents in their mother tongues or dialects.

Sometimes I really wonder if it crossed their minds that they can't even carry out simple conversations in our language - the Chinese language for example. Why laugh at Chinese when MOST of the Chinese population around the world can comprehend simple English, and on the other hand, THEY can't speak or understand our language?????

If you think Chinese is really not a language worth to be learnt, think again. A handful of successful businessmen speak Chinese! And what makes you think they bother about the Chinese language?
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-60433101981001255212008-06-23T01:50:00.003+08:002008-06-23T01:59:12.597+08:00Sleepless nightTrying hard to make myself fall asleep since 11pm. Thanks for loving and caring for me =)

I do notice I'm a lil self-centered most of the time, please forgive me cos I didn't realise! It just strucked me that you guys didn't even show displeasure when I'm guilty of being such an egocentric.

Love you all!

Most of all, thank you hubby for tolerating with all my obstinateness. I really do agree I'm extremely rude at times, but I have no idea why that didn't cross my mind when I was mad!!
Maybe you'll have to learn to live with it?

Of course I was kidding, still working on my bad temper. haha, love ya all, going to bed!
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24029880.post-61871310352989049912008-06-22T10:28:00.007+08:002008-06-22T14:01:54.600+08:00The Unidentifiedflying object.

http://www.nasa.gov

Have you ever seen one, or have you suspected what you've seen was one? I think I do. It sounds really crazy, but it was years ago.

When I was in secondary school, I spent hours hanging around the corridor enjoying the night view, the stars, moon, clouds etc.. then this Indian family moved into the unit just next to ours, it seemed one young lady and I cliqued on very well, thus, we usually have hour-long chats almost every night.

One night, while chatting and gazing the stars at the same time, this neon-glowing thing swop from south of where I was standing, and stopped in the middle of the sky for a few seconds, before it zoomed about 90 degrees right and disappear into the clouds. There wasn't any noise at all. My neighbour and I have no idea what it was and she just laughed the matter off by saying "Wow I think it's a UFO! Maybe we'll see it in the news tomorrow!".

I haven't known of a flying object that looked and fly like that! It's glowing in neon, it's silent, it almost didn't need anytime to accelerate and fly away in split seconds.

Do you believe in the existance extraterrestrials? I do, though I'm not exactly sure if the one I've seen is an example of it. But let's think about it, the universe is said to be infinitely large, surely there are countless of other living beings somewhere, and many of them thousand times more advance than us!

http://www.profindsearch.com

The UFO commonly seen is what people called the "black triangle". First sighting of this UFO goes way back to the 1940s. Common descriptions of them are that they are totally silent, fly at low altitudes and make no attempt to avoid detection.

One of the most interesting sightings was at Beligum where F-16 were commanded to pursue the unknown flying object that hover above apartment buildings. Pilots reported that this UFO will impel at incredible high speed whenever the pilots had a radar lock on it. The pilots lose the UFO of course.

It was concluded that it couldn't be an air-craft, not even stealth air-craft, because it was TOTALLY silent. Couldn't be any form of projections or refraction (mirage) cos there was a lack of projection surface, e.g. clouds.

Some believe it's a top secret vehicle of a country, however, sightings of the black triangles with the same characteristics happen everywhere on the globe!

Isn't this world just amazing?
Genevieve
your harmless friendhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08616376002748956987noreply@blogger.com
