Of course, this is great news for students of Bible manuscripts. One fascinating fact about this archaeological gem is its origin in Egypt.

The New Testament manuscript in question is the Codex Sinaiticus, distinguished from earlier manuscripts by virtue of its completeness, containing all the canonical texts along with the Epistle of Barnabas and the Shepherd of Hermas, the former of which has been shown to have a provenance of Alexandria, Egypt. Along with the Codex Vaticanus, the CS is the oldest intact manuscript, dating to around 350 AD/CE.

Importantly, the Codex Sinaiticus was discovered and evidently written in Egypt, a locale vastly overlooked in studies of Christian origins. It is my contention, in fact, that without factoring in Egyptian religion and mythology, the study of Christian origins will always be incomplete and faulty, because it is unquestionably out of Egypt that Christ was called, so to speak, as a mythical rehash largely of the Egyptian gods Osiris and Horus.

"Out of Egypt have I called my son."
--The Gospel of Matthew (2:15)

In reality, the Sinai Peninsula, where this text was found in the oldest Christian monastery, St. Catherine's, was the only established land route to Israel, possessing numerous important Egyptian sites, including a massive fortress and temple to Horus at Tharo/Tharu. In this location, countless thousands of travelers passed between the two nations over a period of several millennia. Indeed, much interchange between cultures occurred in this very region. It is no wonder, therefore, that this site would be a sacred hot spot for the establishment of what turns out to be a Jewish-Egyptian hybrid, i.e., Christianity.

In my forthcoming book Christ in Egypt: The Horus-Jesus Connection, I demonstrate the correspondences between the Egyptian and Christian religions in well-documented detail, using primary source material as well as the works of highly credentialed scholars in relevant fields. Citing "insufficient assimilation," France has denied citizenship to a Moroccan woman who is "totally submissive" to her husband and male relatives, and who is forced to dress in a full Islamic veil, i.e., a burqa/burkha, chador or abaya.

Of course, we can expect to hear from those who believe that women should have the "right" to dress and live in this inhumane and oppressive manner. These "liberal" cries appear to be based entirely on the blatant bigotry which supposes that anything done in the name of religion - no matter how vile - is just peachy keen. If, however, a Western, non-Muslim woman were living in a totally submissive state and forced to cover herself from head to toe not in the name of religion, would not the same people be yelling for intervention, to help this woman free herself of her abusive husband and this patent imprisonment? The woman in this current story would be freed and sent to a domestic violence shelter, with protection from the law against her husband - if she were not imprisoned by so-called religious ideology.

What truly "religious" ideology is based on the mistreatment and enslavement of women? How can there possibly be any good, decent and merciful god behind such egregious abuse of human rights? Millions of women around the world are suffering horribly because of manmade cults seemingly designed specifically for the purpose of enslaving them - yet, where is the outcry from the "bleeding heart" segment of society? "Religion" is not an excuse and should never have been an excuse for the abuse of women and the denial of basic human rights. If one is truly a "bleeding heart" one will feel the pain of these women in their daily enslavement in the name of Islam - and one will demand an end to it NOW, no "ifs," "ands" or "buts" about it. This enslavement of women is EVIL, period.

Fortunately, France has finally grown a backbone and made this moral decision that could open the door to ending this vile abuse in the name of God. No god who demands abusing women is worthy of the name or of any sort of worship. No ideology that believes women to be inferior or mere sexual objects in need of being enslaved and covered up should be deemed a "religion" and be given special status. Any such ideology must either change or die.

"All the 'bleeding heart' multicultists who do not demand an end to the severe, worldwide abuse of women, regardless of the fact that it is done in the name of religion and God, are part of the problem."

These "leftist" individuals are in effect and indecently aiding and abetting these vicious, ongoing crimes against humanity. Let us hope that such characters do not succeed in overturning this ruling in France, as they are attempting to do, some of them quite likely at the behest of and financed by Muslim organizations who thrive on enslaving women. In reality, France should take this act a step further and deny or revoke the citizenship of this woman's husband and male relatives, and boot them out of the country. The victim should then be allowed to live in France with her children, provided she obtains counseling and is freed from her psychological and spiritual enslavement.

By taking this powerful step against the abuse of women in their country, France is leading the way in containing the virulent anti-woman sickness that is spreading throughout the world. All civilized countries must follow suit - and they must then put pressure on the uncivilized, backward nations to do likewise, or there will be no acceptance into the global family of humankind. No woman anywhere on the planet should be abused and enslaved in this manner, period. To invoke religion and God as excuses for this wanton evil represents the height of savagery and depravity.

France rejects Muslim woman over radical practice of Islam

· Expert says Moroccan lives 'almost as a recluse'
· Case reopens debate about freedom of religion

France has denied citizenship to a Moroccan woman who wears a burqa on the grounds that her "radical" practice of Islam is incompatible with basic French values such as equality of the sexes.

The case yesterday reopened the debate about Islam in France, and how the secular republic reconciles itself with the freedom of religion guaranteed by the French constitution.

The woman, known as Faiza M, is 32, married to a French national and lives east of Paris. She has lived in France since 2000, speaks good French and has three children born in France. Social services reports said she lived in "total submission" to her husband. Her application for French nationality was rejected in 2005 on the grounds of "insufficient assimilation" into France. She appealed, invoking the French constitutional right to religious freedom and saying that she had never sought to challenge the fundamental values of France. But last month the Council of State, France's highest administrative body, upheld the ruling.

"She has adopted a radical practice of her religion, incompatible with essential values of the French community, particularly the principle of equality of the sexes," it said.

"Is the burqa incompatible with French citizenship?" asked Le Monde, which broke the story. The paper said it was the first time the level of a person's personal religious practice had been used to rule on their capacity be to assimilated into France.

The legal expert who reported to the Council of State said the woman's interviews with social services revealed that "she lives almost as a recluse, isolated from French society".

The report said: "She has no idea about the secular state or the right to vote. She lives in total submission to her male relatives. She seems to find this normal and the idea of challenging it has never crossed her mind."

The woman had said she was not veiled when she lived in Morocco and had worn the burqa since arriving in France at the request of her husband. She said she wore it more from habit than conviction....

France is home to nearly 5 million Muslims, roughly half of whom are French citizens. Criteria taken into account for granting French citizenship includes "assimilation", which normally focuses on how well the candidate speaks French. In the past nationality was denied to Muslims who were known to have links with extremists or who had publicly advocated radicalism, but that was not the case of Faiza M.

The ruling comes weeks after a controversy prompted by a court annulment of the marriage of two Muslims because the husband said the wife was not a virgin as she had claimed to be.

France's ban on headscarves and other religious symbols in state schools in 2004 sparked a heated debate over freedom and equality within the secular republic. The French government adheres to the theory that all French citizens are equal before the republic, and religion or ethnic background are matters for the private sphere. In practice, rights groups say, society is plagued by discrimination.

The president, Nicolas Sarkozy, has stressed the importance of "integration" into French life. Part of his heightened controls on immigrants is a new law to make foreigners who want to join their families sit an exam on French language and values before leaving their countries.

Acharya Snoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24006920.post-70711107576777977212008-07-05T17:21:00.020-05:002008-07-05T20:19:33.072-05:00Ancient Tablet Evidence of Jesus Myth?
An ancient Hebrew tablet is creating a stir after certain scholars identified it as containing a pre-Christian account of the awaited Jewish messiah's death and resurrection after three days. If this artifact is genuine, from the era claimed, and actually says what is asserted, the discovery clearly demonstrates that the idea of a messiah, savior or divine redeemer dying and rising after three days existed decades before the alleged advent of Jesus Christ. This dying-and-resurrecting motif is one of a number that various writers and scholars have claimed demonstrate Jesus to represent not a "historical" personage but a mythical concept found in religious ideologies and mythologies long prior to the so-called Christian era.

A recent article in the New York Times expresses caution concerning the find, as it has not been conclusively proved to be from the era in question, some years to decades prior to the common era, or to discuss what it is alleged to relate. However, the article also concludes that if the tablet is truly what it is purported to be, then:

"Resurrection after three days becomes a motif developed before Jesus, which runs contrary to nearly all scholarship."

The idea of this motif existing before Christ "runs contrary to nearly all scholarship," except for that of "Jesus mythicists," including in my books, The Christ Conspiracy, Suns of God, Who Was Jesus? and Christ in Egypt: The Horus-Jesus Connection.

In fact, if genuine, this tablet would constitute not "prophecy" of Christ's alleged advent but a primary source for a BLUEPRINT used in the creation of the fictional Jesus character - a theme I repeatedly address in my work. Indeed, the educated Jews of the Diaspora, including the very important Egyptian city of Alexandria, were undoubtedly well aware of the ubiquitous story of the god Osiris, "Lord of Resurrections," who was said to have died and been resurrected after three days, as stated in ancient Egyptian texts that predate the alleged time of Jesus by hundreds to thousands of years. It may well be that the Jewish priesthood in Judea - a mere stone's throw from their many brethren in Egypt - were also quite knowledgeable of this highly important god and his resurrection, which promised hope to hundreds of millions of Egyptians over a period of several thousand years, long prior to the purported time of Jesus Christ. If so, we would logically expect from their own religion-making efforts just such writings as are alleged to be found on this extraordinary tablet.

New York Times
July 6, 2008

Tablet Ignites Debate on Messiah and Resurrection
By ETHAN BRONNER
JERUSALEM — A three-foot-tall tablet with 87 lines of Hebrew that scholars believe dates from the decades just before the birth of Jesus is causing a quiet stir in biblical and archaeological circles, especially because it may speak of a messiah who will rise from the dead after three days.

If such a messianic description really is there, it will contribute to a developing re-evaluation of both popular and scholarly views of Jesus, since it suggests that the story of his death and resurrection was not unique but part of a recognized Jewish tradition at the time.

The tablet, probably found near the Dead Sea in Jordan according to some scholars who have studied it, is a rare example of a stone with ink writings from that era — in essence, a Dead Sea Scroll on stone.

It is written, not engraved, across two neat columns, similar to columns in a Torah. One of the greatest masters of all time has left the planet, joining the other late comic geniuses in what must certainly be the only true heaven, where laughter reigns supreme.

Those of us of a certain age surely feel as if George Carlin was one of our dearest friends. My own memories of George are long and deep, dating back to when he burst onto the scene for good in the 70s, with his breakthrough album containing the taboo-shattering "Seven Dirty Words."

I recall vividly the whole brouhaha over those fucking obscenities. I can hear that album - and it was an ALBUM, scratchable vinyl and all - in my head right now. I was technically too young to be listening to it, but my siblings were playing it, much to my glee.

As I think back, I remember being impressed all those years ago by Carlin discussing product names for condoms or other birth-control devices, one of which he deemed "Baby Maybe!" and another "Junior Miss!"

George Carlin's impact is multigenerational. Even my little boy knows George from the cartoon movie "Cars." Carlin was the voice of Fillmore, the hippy VW bus who used organic fuel and said, "It's a conspiracy, man!" and "Respect the classics, man!"

And that description perhaps sums up George Carlin best - Classic.

A true sage who unblinkingly examined reality without blinders on, George Carlin dripped with enlightenment and wisdom, brilliantly using comedy to help the human race along in its evolutionary path. With all the talk about "spiritual masters" who deserve our reverence, in my opinion Carlin was a real master who truly loved the world and worked to better it by raising up the issue of individual freedom and personal creativity. In fact, I hold George Carlin in such high regard that I like to "joke" that he is my prophet (pot be upon him).

With all that is happening in the world today, including the end of the fossil-fuel era with serious deprivation on the horizon, I'm thinking that George's passing truly signals the end of the era - the end of the party, in fact.

Rest in stitches, George, my friend. Under the guise of making a simple request for the EU to rein in "freedom of expression" - i.e., freedom of speech - so as not to offend Muslims, Pakistan has basically given the European governments an ultimatum: Do not ever criticize Islam again, or you will be terrorized into submission.

The Pakistan Daily Times reports from Islamabad (6/8/08):

Pakistan will ask the European Union countries to amend laws regarding freedom of expression in order to prevent offensive incidents such as the printing of blasphemous caricatures of Prophet Muhammad...and the production of an anti-Islam film by a Dutch legislator, sources in the Interior Ministry told Daily Times on Saturday.

In other words, it will become illegal to object to Islamic doctrine, to deny Muhammad as the "Holy Prophet" of the God of the universe, and to criticize the Quran as a book filled with violent and insidious intentions towards non-Muslims.

Such laws would in essence mean that everyone in the European Union will instantly be compelled to become a Muslim overnight, as they could never again "blaspheme" Muhammad and the Quran, meaning they must accept them as what they are purported to be within Islam. Hence, in order not to "blaspheme" the Quran, all references to it must be in the spirit that it is indeed the Word of God. In order not to "blaspheme" Muhammad, all references to him will be forced to have "Peace Be Upon Him" or "PBUH" after his name and to recognize him as God's Holy Prophet.

Calling Jesus Christ the "son of God" is likewise considered "blasphemous" within Islam, so such laws may lead down that slippery slope as well, basically making Christianity (and all other religions) illegal. This legislation, in fact, constitutes Islamic or sharia law, now being imposed once again on Europe. More aspects of sharia law are certain to follow. Also, more Muslim nations are sure to follow Pakistan's suit - we can, in reality, expect more angry rampages through the street, people murdered, property destroyed, churches and synagogues burned, and so on, until we all accept sharia law in toto.

Indeed, Pakistan has accompanied its "request" to impose sharia law with an apparent veiled threat that Europe can expect to be violently attacked if it does not comply. Again from the Pakistan Daily Times:

They said that the delegation would also tell the EU that if such acts against Islam are not controlled, more attacks on the EU diplomatic missions abroad could not be ruled out.

In other words, you can expect to be terrorized into submission.

Now, it is quite possible that the particular Pakistani officials who worded this "request" themselves are merely saying that they can't be held responsible for the violent psychopaths in their country who surely will attack European targets. Yet, would it not have been more civilized to stand with the EU against the Muslim terrorists who are quite clearly validating the widespread criticisms of Islam as fostering terrorism? Instead, Pakistan asks us to appease these terrorists - as if the Pakistani government is speaking for them.

Is it only a matter of time when the entire world is compelled through threats of violence and assorted other depraved behavior to accept Islam as the "one true faith of God Almighty?" This censorship disease that will force us not to object to calling a man "the Prophet of God" who raped and slaughtered his way around Arabia, as well as not to criticize a book that repeatedly calls for the violent subjugation of all non-Muslims, is spreading like a cancer around the globe. With it will come the end of true human civilization and the beginning of absolute hell on Earth.

Pakistan to ask EU to amend laws on freedom of expressionAcharya Snoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24006920.post-75233818659938316942008-06-03T10:05:00.031-05:002008-06-03T11:29:38.708-05:00Islam: Wholesale Slaughter in the Name of AllahIslamic "extremists" and "radicals" have recently junked the term "jihad," commonly believed by them to mean "holy war" of the physical, violent kind, in favor of the word "qattal," according to a Pakistani official. Whereas jihad restricted the murder in the name of Islam and the Muslim god Allah to "only" non-Muslims, derogatorily called "infidels" and "kafirs," qattal evidently allows for unending bloodshed of Muslim "innocents," such as competing sects or cults.

Although so-called moderate Muslims repeatedly claim that "Islam does not permit killing of innocents," we know from the "radical" Islamic religious leaders such as Anjem Choudary that the definition of "innocent" is anyone who is Muslim, while non-Muslims are not "innocent" and can be murdered at will.

The Pakistani official discussing this new twist to an old twisted religion, Hasham Baber, stated that it was because of the efforts of "moderate" Muslims to end terrorism in the name of Islam - which they evidently sensibly believe has given Islam a bad name - that the jihadists have decided to change their name. The "moderates" have been trying to define "jihad" as an "inner struggle" to find one's way to God, while, of course, the "true" jihadis have insisted that their god must be appeased with endless bloodshed, terror and horror.

With this new turn of affairs, violent jihadists - now "qattalists?" - will be able to slaughter the moderate Muslims at will as well. Of course, we know from Iraq and the rest of Islamic history that slaughtering Muslims in the name of Islam and Allah has always been on the table, despite constant protests that these "innocents" should not be murdered. Qattal, however, apparently allows this depraved pathology to be deemed "holy," "Islamic" and appropriate behavior in the eyes of the god of Islam.

In regard to this new development of naming Islamic bloodlust and sadism qattal, Pakistani Secretary General Baber also remarked, "Qattal...means I am allowed to kill a Hindu, Christian at will or even a Shia." He further states, "The religious education in Pakistan as whole has degenerated into bloodshed."

This abhorrent situation tends to validate the claim that it is Islam itself which fosters bloodshed, violence and terror. The jihadis/qattalis are quite certain that they are the "true Muslims," while the moderates are no better than the dirty kafirs/kufaars - pejorative terms used by Islamic fanatics to destroy anyone who is not exactly like they are. As many people know by now, the Muslim "holy book," the Koran/Quran, is full of incitement to violence, especially against all non-Muslims. With this new twist, all Muslims who are not violent fanatics can be deemed fair game - as they already have been in reality, but now the qattalists can still be assured of their place in "heaven" for satisfying their bloodlust and that of their god. (Any place filled with these vile human-haters, of course, would be our hell.)

We must be hopeful that the world is growing quite weary of this despicable behavior committed for many centuries in the name of Islam and Allah. Yet, such atrocities as the recent bombing of the Danish embassy in Islamabad, demonstrating that cartoons are more offensive than the murder of human beings, whether Muslim or non-Muslim, reveal that the cancer continues to spread.

Also, such utter disgraces as the recent conviction of famed French citizen Brigitte Bardot for "provoking race hatred," when Islam is not a race and Bardot, as a citizen of that nation, clearly has a right to complain about the Islamic destruction of her country and culture, are quite demoralizing for those who are attempting to prevent the death of human civilization.

And then there is the outrage of Muslim women in Algeria and elsewhere imprisoned for being pregnant or giving birth without being married. These women are imprisoned for offending Islam and Allah, but what could be more offensive to a decent god, "sex outside of marriage" - some of these women are rape victims! - or the hideous suffering of innocent women and children, who are ripped away from their mothers to be raised in a mother-loveless situation that will likely produce more hardened, violent Muslims?

In the meantime, the recent willingness of "moderate" Muslims - I put these terms in quotes because they are quite subjective - to rethink Islam constitutes an acknowledgment, however subtle, that it is Islam which is the problem. Again, Islam fosters this violent pathology - and it always has, as it was begun by a violent, murdering and raping warlord. Until there is honest assessment, such as is occurring in Turkey, with scholars there attempting to fashion a truly "moderate" Islam, there will be no containing this mental illness that is gripping a significant portion of the world.

Needless to say, we will require the help of all Muslims of conscience to reject this path of terror, horror and bloodlust in the name of the Arab tribal god Allah and the cult started by the Arab desert nomad. Otherwise, by their mere participation in this "religion of peace" - frequently foisted upon them by violence - moderate Muslims are encouraging these deranged jihadists/qattalists in their evil deeds.

For further reading:

Terrorists now swear by 'qattal'!
Brigitte Bardot convicted of "race hatred"
Muslim fanatics bomb Danish embassy
Unwed Mothers Jailed in AlgeriaAcharya Snoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24006920.post-12972480832151808562008-05-13T10:50:00.005-05:002008-05-13T11:08:40.497-05:00Pat Condell Endorses Acharya! In case you don't know him, British comedian Pat Condell is one of the most famous "vloggers" of all time, with millions of hits on his video logs mainly critiquing religious fanaticism. On the "pro" side appeared Daveed Garten-Stein Ross, Paul Marshall and Asra Nomani. On the "con" were Reza Aslan, Richard Bulliet and Edina Lekovic.

When the audience was polled with the following (paraphrased) question, upon entering the debate, the numbers were thus:

Do you agree or disagree with the statement that Islam is dominated by radicals?

43% agreed
32% disagreed
22% were undecided

After the debate, the numbers stacked up as follows:

73% agreed
23% disagreed
4% were undecided

During the debate, a number of shocking points were made by the "pro" team, using statistics concerning what is actually happening in the world today, including Islamic law in Muslim countries such as Saudi Arabia and Iran, as well as how much money is being spent worldwide to spread "radical" Islamic fundamentalism that abides by these appalling laws. One point raised by Paul Marshall was that Iran has now recently proposed legislation that would make heresy and apostasy a capital offense even outside of Iran, meaning that, in Marshall's words, "Under Iranian law, Barack Obama should be executed as an apostate."

We are reminded that the "radical" Muslims are not only quite willing to kill and die for their cause, but they are "well funded, often by Saudi Arabia." We can look towards Saudi Arabia, in fact, for an example of a "true Islamic state," according to them, of course. There, Marshall informs us, the terms "human rights" and "democracy" are considered to be "un-Islamic terminology." Saudi Arabia's long brutal and oppressive history verifies this notion that human rights in that country are un-Islamic.

Marshall also reminds us that in Iran if you murder someone from an "unrecognized religion," such as the Bahai faith, you will not be punished. The life of a human being who is not a member of a recognized religion is as worthless as that of a dog or cat in Iran.

Iran and Saudi Arabia are in competition to spread their "radical" version of Islam around the world," the Saudis spending at least $3 billion a year on missionary causes.

We also hear about the millions of people who have died in the past few decades because of "radical" Islam being introduced into their countries, such as in Pakistan and Nigeria. This radicalization is happening even in moderate Muslim countries like Malaysia and Indonesia.

As concerns the "cons," one of the first comments out of Reza Aslan serves to establish the superiority of Islam, insulting the intelligence of the people in the audience at the same time (apparently because they are NOT Muslim): "So, I suppose it's not surprising that a large percentage in this room would believe that Islam - unquestionably the most eclectic, the most diverse religion in the history of the world - is dominated by radicals. After all, no field work or research is necessary to come to such a conclusion, just turn on your television...."

Yes, "unquestionably" is the correct term here, since questions are not encouraged within Islam. And how do total submission to Allah and the compulsion to pray five times a day constitute "diversity?"

Moreover, those who are speaking out against Islamic fundamentalism, such as Ayaan Hirsi Ali, have often been in the heart of it, not just sitting in front of the boobtube, mindlessly watching propaganda films.

Aslan continues in the same vein, stating that the cartoons that cause people to riot are "deliberately provocative." (Can't you hear it now: "Your honor, she was wearing a miniskirt, so I had to rape her.") Aslan also calls Geert Wilders a "racist," evidently because he doesn't want "radical" Islam to destroy his country or the world. (Reza apparently does not understand that Islam is NOT a race, as he, a darker-skinned Persian sits next to a white Muslim woman.) As a typical Muslim apologist, Aslan just cannot acknowledge that "radical" Islam is the source of violence and terror the world over. He couldn't possibly answer Marshall's factual recitation with a truly MODERATE statement like, "Yes, that doesn't sound very good, and I do not support those things within Islam." No, he immediately started insulting people, in a typically aggressive Muslim manner.

In the fourth clip, in response to a question by Garten-Stein Ross, Aslan essentially proves the point about every devout Muslim potentially being "radical," when he asserts that Islam is not "just a religion" but an identity, and that an attack on Islam is an attack on him personally which would warrant violence. In his response, in fact, Aslan seems to start shaking with anger at the very thought of "his" religion being assailed.

Re-wording a question from Daveed Garten-Stein Ross to ask, "Should I act violently in defense of my religion," the so-called "moderate" Reza Aslan responds, "ABSOLUTELY."

Is that not radical Islam in a nutshell?

It is my long-held stance that religious fanaticism is a form of psychopathy, and these responses merely verify my position. I personally hold that we are NOT "our" religion - indeed, they are not even OUR religions but are borrowed beliefs extending back to caveman days - and that becoming violent against a living, breathing human being over such an IDEOLOGY is in itself evil. In the end, my constant requests online since 1995 for people to DROP religious "isms" and "i(n)anities," and just be HUMAN BEINGS become even more urgent and meritable.

Back on the pro side, Asra Nomani gives us an insider's view about how even in the U.S. moderate Muslims are now being bombarded by radical Islam calling for the ostracism and oppression of non-Muslims.

Con speaker Edina Lekovic essentially admits that Islam does not belong to the 21st century and that electing a secular government is a good thing, as is "integration" (i.e., assimilation) for Muslims. Indeed, her remarks pretty much prove that Islam IS dominated by radicals, as she puts out the call for help to overpower them.

Daveed Garten-Stein Ross goes into factual detail about the lack of human rights and religious freedoms in Muslim countries, as well as the opinion, for example, of many Muslims in the West that Muslim apostates should be killed. Ross also nails home the point that Saudi Arabia is radical and that its ideology is being pushed all over the world, using oil money. He also addresses the fact that "mainstream" Muslim organizations are now attempting to shut down free speech worldwide, demonstrating their desire for hegemony.

Anyway, I could make comment throughout this debate - and I was doing so as I watched it - but this blog would then become very long.

In the end, the debate here was not whether or not Islam is a "great religion" but whether it is dominated by so-called radicals - who, it should be noted, consider themselves in fact to be the REAL Muslims and are, therefore, not "radical" at all.

The verdict is in: "Islam is dominated by radicals."

Following are some of the clips from this important debate. Adding to this problem is the increasingly serious population growth. Indeed, I am reminded during this crisis of two pertinent subjects: Firstly, Paul Ehrlich, who wrote The Population Bomb in 1968, but who was roundly assailed and dismissed at the time. Unfortunately, he is being proved correct, as common sense would have told us all along. The second subject that keeps popping up provides a major solution to the world's food and energy crises. It's been sitting there all along, vilified and suppressed by the ruling elite, who appear to care not a fig for the world's poor and suffering but who only seem to want to make their fortunes off polluting and destroying the earth. What I'm talking about is the prohibition of one of the world's most versatile plants: Hemp or cannabis.

The history of hemp is long and varied, and need not be reproduced here but can be viewed in part in the videos included here. Suffice it to say that, rather than for "moral" purposes having to do with the medicinal or recreational uses of one strain of cannabis, the prohibition of hemp has largely revolved around the desire by the ruling elite to horde and profit off of the resources they have virtually monopolized since the 1930s and earlier. Indeed, in my mind one of the greatest criminals in history is William Randolph Hearst, who, along with his "hired Anslinger," so to speak, almost singlehandedly managed to destroy the American hemp industry. Now, much of the environmental destruction can be placed squarely on the heads of this tiny minority of monopolizers. With hemp, there would have been little need for the oil industry and its attendant globe-destroying pollution and degradation. Another benefit of hemp production and the non-necessity of Middle Eastern oil would have been the lack of funding for "radical" Islamic extremists whose stated goal is total global domination, using billions of petrodollars currently at their disposal.

Instead of a peaceful, clean and well-nourished planet and populace, we are currently poised on the edge of the abyss from which many millions will never recover. The prohibition of hemp constitutes one of the greatest crimes against humanity ever committed. Millions of human beings will now die, millions more will be enslaved under a totalitarian system of government, and the suffering will go on, all for the want of a plant that has more uses than can be listed here.

The people in power who have upheld the criminal hemp prohibition should be ashamed, but I fear that they have no conscience at all - an assertion constantly validated by their actions. If the ruling elite cannot make massive amounts of money off of something, it will not only fall by the wayside, it will be deliberately kicked there. And that relegation is what has happened to hemp, a true gift of nature that could still solve many of our problems globally - if these powermongering sociopaths will step out of the way.

Will humankind wake up and make the necessary changes now that it faces an appalling crisis of a magnitude never before seen? I certainly hope so.

Lift the hemp ban now!

(In 1992, when Jerry Brown was running for President, I stood up at one of his press conferences and asked him, "Isn't it time to look to hemp to solve many of the world's problems?" He blanched, and one of his cameramen groaned and removed the camera from me. Brown deflected the question, answering only my previous question about his international policies. That's the sort of fearful environment we've lived in that has now led us to this atrocious mess.)

Study: U.S. Hemp Ban Hurts Environment, Economy

Hemp Used to Clean Radioactivity

(If you can't see the videos below, try opening this page in Internet Explorer.)

Hemp for Food

Hemp for Victory!

Hemp - The Environmentally Sustainable Alternative

Hemp for Biodiesel Fuel

Hemp to Solve Global Warming

Ron Paul & Cannabis

Acharya Snoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24006920.post-29880662485408184122008-04-08T10:11:00.070-05:002008-05-10T11:21:06.025-05:00"ZEITGEIST, Part 1" Debunked? In the past several months, there have been many claims on websites and in forums and videos all over the internet that the first part of ZEITGEIST has been "refuted" and "debunked." Contrary to these claims, the facts continue to demonstrate otherwise.

First of all, let me clarify that I was not involved in the creation of ZEITGEIST, other than providing a few images and consulting on Part 1 at the last minute, the result of which was the final, "Official" version. However, my work did serve as a significant inspiration for Part 1. I had no involvement in Parts 2 and 3, and make no comment thereupon in this article.

Because of my work's influence on Part 1 of ZEITGEIST, a number of the debunking sites have been directed largely at me and my contentions formulated over the past 15 years. While we would expect a debate as to the facts, the vitriolic and bilious nature of these refutations reflects a severe weakness of intelligent argument. Moreover, the detractors - whether theists or atheists and other freethinkers - quite often HAVE NOT ACTUALLY STUDIED MY WORK, and there has not been one "refutation" site to our knowledge that has proceeded from an informed and unbiased perspective, accurately presenting facts based on serious research. Despite pretending to be experts on the subject in general and my work in particular, none of these individuals has given any indication that he or she has read my Companion Guide to ZEITGEIST, Part 1, which already deals with a number of the facts purportedly "debunked" and which sets the tone for further discussion of the claims in ZEITGEIST. Because such individuals are not aware of the facts and evidence in my books, they apparently feel the need to attack me personally, demonstrating a lack of substance and objectivity on their part, despite their pretenses to the contrary.

It should be noted that I am not and have never been adverse to reading Christian material or factual rebuttals to my work or that of anyone else. Over the years, I have continually factored such information into my work. In reality, I was born and raised a Christian, from a family of Christians dating back many hundreds of years. My mother's family landed in America in 1630, as Puritans, and my mother was the longtime secretary, choir director and soloist of our Protestant Congregationalist church. I was also briefly a born-again Christian - I know the material very well. Who could miss Christian proselytizing? In America, it is available all over the place - in our books, newspapers, magazines, radio, TV, movies - we are inundated with Christianity. But if anyone dares to raise their small voice of objection or alternative perspective, they are beaten down with disparagement and vituperation. (Such vitriol, by the way, continues, as several people have attempted to post vicious and insulting comments here - be advised that such posts will not be passed through, but they do prove my point about religious fanaticism causing hatred and incivility towards other human beings.)

In this regard, what I am adverse to is going to a website or video and seeing or hearing libel and defamation against me, as well as the inaccurate portrayal of my work - and so far, none of the Zeitgeist-debunking material we have encountered has been free of this type of invective and abuse.

Unlike my detractors in their refutations, I do not engage in vitriol and calumny in this work. Instead, I provide FACTUAL MATERIAL from primary sources and the work of highly credentialed and qualified scholars. While it is true that ZEITGEIST does not thoroughly identify the various primary-source images it uses in its claims, the important point is that such sources do exist. Furthermore, ZG's creator, Peter Joseph, did not set out to present a scholarly documentary on the topic in the 25 minutes that comprise Part 1. Of course, those who think they can adequately cover the last 5,000 years of religious history in under 25 minutes are free to make their own video.

Despite all the efforts to refute the information and sources in Part 1 of ZEITGEIST, the bottom line will remain the same:

When the subject matter is examined scientifically and in depth, there continues to be no credible evidence for the existence of the gospel character named Jesus Christ, and the preponderance of scientific evidence points to him being as mythical a character as the Greek god Hercules and the many other deities of the Roman Empire of the time.

While people who take such a position are widely subjected to ridicule and derision, based on all the evidence this conclusion is demonstrably the most reasonable and logical. Furthermore, in a truthful world where we should not be compelled to reside in BLIND BELIEF, this perspective should be allowed to exist without its holders being derogated and abused, as well as dunned with impossibly high standards of proof, while claims in the religious arena require little to no proof at all! In addition, rather than attacking living, breathing human beings, in my work I tackle deleterious ideologies that have caused the deaths of hundreds of millions of people.

To demonstrate the utter lack of quality in the assaults on my credibility and character that somehow "prove" the existence of Jesus Christ, I have been labeled not only a "liar," "fraud" and "poor scholar," but also a "Freemason," an "Illuminati," a "CIA agent," a "Mossad agent" and a "Zionist" - utterly ridiculous notions so undeserving of dignifying that I have hitherto not addressed them. Nor am I a member of any Theosophical Society or any organization having to do with Luciferians, etc., ad absurdum - other silliness slung my way. These claims are entirely laughable, needless to say. Not to mention that these folks are BEARING FALSE WITNESS AGAINST ME, which breaks one of the 10 Commandments!

"Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour." (Exodus 20:16; Matthew 19:18)

Rather than providing credible, scientifically valid evidence and proof for their assertions, detractors thus continually engage in an endless stream of ad homs and other fallacies to distract away from the issues raised in "ZEITGEIST, Part 1." One of the contentions constantly bandied about as if it constitutes some great triumph is the notion that Jesus Christ was not born on December 25th or the winter solstice; therefore, the comparisons with other gods are inapt. The fact will remain that many millions of people over the centuries have been taught to believe that a Jewish son of God named Jesus Christ not only existed but was born on December 25th. This straw-man argument merely serves to prove our point that Jesus is not the "reason for the season." This and the equally fallacious "three kings" argument are addressed in my Companion Guide, along with much else.

What it comes down to is this - who has reason, logic and common sense on their side? The people who claim that there is an invisible Jewish guy floating all over the sky, or those who assert that this implausible figure is a myth based on previous myths? And if this story is based on myth - which logic and reason suggest it is - what were the myths? That is all I am doing with my work. No CIA, Illuminati or Mossad is necessary for an individual to have such an understanding and to attempt to share it with others. It is sheer common sense, period.

Not a few of the debunking sites rely on shallow "encyclopedia surfing" that will not reveal pertinent facts because of a well-oiled censorship machine that has been in place since long before the Inquisition and that remains to this day to a large extent - as we can see from these frantic and hysterical attempts at debunking, which rely almost entirely on ignorance based on censorial behavior by authorities over the centuries and millennia. Such censorship is responsible for a massive amount of destruction of primary sources - this shameful, deliberate devastation is what we should recall every time a debunker cries out for "primary sources!" Meanwhile, detractors themselves provide NO primary-source evidence for their own extraordinary claims. Furthermore, much of the pertinent data I provide in my books cannot be found in English but appears in other languages, such as Greek, Latin, German, French, as well as Hebrew and Egyptian, of course. Unless someone can work within these languages, he or she may never encounter this important information.

In addition, scholars in relevant fields operating within mainstream institutions themselves are frequently hemmed in by a variety of factors that will not allow them even to contemplate the data discovered through intensive research into comparative religion and mythology. In previous eras not long ago, one could not only lose one's occupation for delving deeply into the issues and having the audacity to broadcast such discoveries, but one could also be subjected to imprisonment on charges of heresy and blasphemy, among other even less savory situations. Mainstream scholars have also been urged not to "rock the boat," as well as to preserve the status quo - and their livelihoods frequently depend on conformity. Moreover, many scholars these days are so specialized that they do not cover the broad diversity of subjects involved in this particular field of research. Scholars in past eras were less specialized - and they did in fact make these connections within comparative religion, as my research demonstrates.

The Horus-Jesus Connection

Rather than relying on the typical shallow "encyclopedia surfing" of the debunking sites, or scholarship that skims the surface because of prejudices and occupational concerns, if you would like to get a taste of deeper and fascinating research on the subject that BACKS UP THE HORUS CLAIMS OF ZEITGEIST, you will want to read my ebook:

The Companion Guide to ZEITGEIST, Part 1

In this 49-page ebook, I use mostly primary sources and the work of individuals highly credentialed in their relevant fields. This ebook shows exactly where some of the most well-known claims regarding the Egyptian god Horus can be found in ancient testimonies and texts.

If you go to my Zeitgeist page, you will find a series of excerpts that reveal the quality of the material I am presenting in the Guide.

We are also working on a short video on the subject, likewise addressing whether or not ZG, Part 1 has been "refuted" or "debunked." Again, I can assure you that it has not.

In addition, I am also close to finishing a much larger work on the subject that I’ve been diligently laboring upon - Christ in Egypt: The Horus-Jesus Connection. Thoroughly covering every contention found in ZEITGEIST regarding Horus, Christ in Egypt will be well over 400 pages, with dozens of illustrations and, again, mostly primary sources and the work of highly credentialed scholars, comprising a bibliography with over 500 entries. Again, I have managed to dig up some incredibly exciting and important research!

Many of us are delighted by the amazing success of ZEITGEIST, for the major reason that it has generated tremendous interest in what I consider to be some of the most intriguing subjects on the planet - comparative religion, mythology and astrotheology - but what has unfortunately been swept under the carpet for too long, in favor of biased, ethnocentric fallacies reducing the grandeur of the cosmos to petty fish tales.

If you have an interest in the direction humanity is going, you might want to know that I believe and hope it is towards a reawakening of the HIDDEN KNOWLEDGE I and others are bringing to light regarding religion and mythology - and this new development is another major step in that direction.

The Companion Guide to ZEITGEIST, Part 1

Thanks - and enjoy!

Acharya S aka D.M. What else is new?

For those who haven't heard, "FITNA" is a movie by Dutch politician Geert Wilders exposing the connection between the Islamic holy text the Koran/Quran and the violence found abundantly in the Muslim world for the past 1,400 years or so.

This movie - which, we are constantly reminded, no one has ever seen - is so powerful, apparently, that the entire Muslim religion will be destroyed by it in a heartbeat. At least, that's the impression given by the incredible frantic knee-jerk reaction that had the unprecedented affect of shutting down the film's website before anything of substance was even posted there!

Because of "complaints," the registrar of Wilders's domain fitnathemovie.com, Network Solutions, has "temporarily suspended" the account, which means the film cannot be posted there. This censorship situation occurred precisely at the point when Wilders claimed he would release the film. Here is a screenshot of the site with the notice from Network Solutions:
When we go to the site to see what could possibly be so egregious as to cause such aggressive behavior, we are faced with a "Acceptable Use Policy" that prohibits the following:

"...material that is obscene, defamatory, libelous, unlawful, harassing, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, constitutes an illegal threat, violates export control laws, hate propaganda, fraudulent material or fraudulent activity, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, profane, indecent or otherwise objectionable material of any kind or nature."

We would wager that Network Solutions is investigating "FITNA" under "hate propaganda," an ironic situation in consideration of the fact that this movie is allegedly basically just a recitation of the KORAN - indeed, that it is apparently making the case that the KORAN itself constitutes "hate propaganda." How else are we to interpret a text - the KORAN - that repeatedly calls for the deaths and/or punishment of non-believers and that has been followed to such ends as to lead to the deaths and/or punishment of hundreds of millions of people?

Here are just a few of the attacks on "infidels" in the Koran - "scriptures" that have unquestionably been used over the centuries to slaughter unbelievers of all manner - and that is precisely what "FITNA" was supposedly designed to demonstrate to the world.

(Translation by N.J. According to Network Solutions, a 10 or 15-minute film that exposes such attacks on infidels (and women) does represent "hate propaganda!" In other words, with their disgraceful behavior, Network Solutions is preventing millions of people from their "God-given" right to know what is in the Koran and how it has been used to conquer and "slay idolaters" around the world.

And in the meantime, Network Solutions has no problem, apparently, serving as the registrar of the violent terrorist organization Hizbollah, the "Army of God!" So much for the "ethics" of Network Solutions. Note that the "WHOIS" information for hizbollah.org has now been CENSORED to omit the fact that it is Network Solutions who is the registrar! The "WHOIS" information specifically naming Network Solutions as the registrar for hizbollah.org has now been replaced with:

WHOIS LIMIT EXCEEDED - SEE WWW.PIR.ORG/WHOIS FOR DETAILS

When we go to www.pir.org/whois for details, we see:

Registrant Organization: Hizbollah
Registrant Street2: care of Network Solutions
Registrant Street3:
Registrant City: Herndon
Registrant State/Province: VA
Registrant Postal Code: 20172
Registrant Country: US
Registrant Phone: +1.570708878

Needless to say, the behavior of Network Solutions is cowardly and unethical - but it has brought so much more attention to Wilders's film that, should he ever release it, millions more now know about it and will likely clamor to see this "forbidden fruit." And let us hope for the sake of freedom of speech, democracy and, indeed, freedom in general, that Wilders does manage to release his film. We know that there are millions of people anxiously standing by waiting to see it, undoubtedly many of the Muslims themselves who would like to know what could be so bad in their Koran that a film about it needs to be censored - and its filmmaker needs to be under constant guard because of all the death threats he has received, falling right in line with what he is exposing in this film.

In reality, Geert Wilders has already proved his point, as he cannot even walk outside freely simply because he dared criticize a book that, as demonstrated above, clearly has as one of its agendas global hegemony and the slaughter of nonbelievers.

If the film really exists - and Wilders insists that it does - Wilders has a number of options here, including, as he has suggested, "passing out DVDs on the Dam," but also bit torrents, as well as simply providing his film to the many other websites and outlets that have expressed their willingness to host it. We can only hope that this film will be widely distributed, as it is obviously vitally important for the freedom of the entire world. We could even imagine the Vatican hosting it on its website - who will stop the Vatican?

Here's the trailer for FITNA - watch it fast while it's still on YouTube! This "secret" is so well known that Muslim bloggers are setting out the plot in detail. If you think this is a joke, think again. This plot is well financed, and, as we can see from this Muslim's blog post, any means will be used to bring it about, including slaughter. As this fanatic points out, the vast majority of human beings will not accept Islam - thank God! (irony) - but Islam will be forced upon us all anyway.

I have run this site through anonymouse.org so that your IP will not end up in the logs of this blog owner, to be used by these potential enslavers of mankind. If you think that sound scary, you are right. And such is the power of religious brainwashing that these minions can be induced easily to murder their fellow human beings in the name of God.

In reading this site, you are looking right into the (absolutely evil) mind of the Muslim fanatic who has declared eternal warfare on the free world.

Forewarned is forearmed.

"If the Muslims are
