Little Fire Fighters

Heres a LO I did for an event we went to this summer where the kids got to complete a fire fighter training course. It was too cute. I know I am so far behind in scrapping but I had the idea in my head and just had to skip ahead and get it done.

Fathers Day

Well here it is......after many many many tries this is what I came up with finally for fathers day. Why are mens cards/Layouts so hard?????? I know I am not the only one that struggles with this. Thank god I dont have many men in my life lol.

For this card I "created" my own back ground paper and destressed it. Used scal for the birds and "DAD", Ric rac for that added touch.

Bachlorette Party

I have been asked to dress the bridal party for the bachelorette party cool huh??? Their wedding is a gang theme with Pink & Black as the color scheme. So armed with that information this is what I came up with. They are not perfect but thats what makes em homemade :D. A HUGE project and I still have put the names on the back of these but the fronts are done :D WHY or WHY is the bride font appear smaller??? I dont know. I used SCAL they were all mesured the same but just didnt come out the same. The font is called "the godfather" and I used clip art to turn the Rs into guns to fit the theme. Hope you like, better yet hope the bride likes.

Birthday Invites

The birthday invites are FINALLY done :D not exactly what I had in mind, I wanted a ant instead of a watermelon, but mom said it didnt look like an ant WHATEVER :p So this is what we got. Come rain or shine we are having a picnic themed bday this year even if we gotta through the red checkered blacket on the living room floor instead of the lawn. I got this all figured out ;)

This is my version of a Freezer paper T-shirt. This is my first try at this and WONT be my last. I made this one for my soon to be 5yr old. He LOVES IT!!!! and I do too. I used SCAL for the entire thing, have I mentioned how much I love SCAL??????? Tis is only one of many reasons why.

Mind Your own business

I did it!!! I managed to sneak off to my room on NSBD, this is the only LO I have gotten completed so far. I am hoping I will have energy after kids bedtime to get some more done. Even if not for challenges but for me :D. I cant believe how LONG it takes me to complete anything YIKES I had no chance of keeping up with all the challenges.

The basis of this LO are that people are constantly judging me on my age of being a mother based solely on appearance, (I an not nor was I ever a teen mom) as well as being a single mother.

I did it!!!! I found time to scrap :D This is my 1st entry to 52 sketches. Havent heard of them? click the blinky to the right. I have decided in order to get myself motivated to get things done rather than just shop that I am going to start joining some of these challenges online. So far so good lol. Hopefully if I keep at this at LEAST one challenge a week I might be caught up by 3009 :S. Anyways engough jibber jabber back to the LO. This is one of my fav pics/memories of my dd chasing pigeons down grand beach, such a beautiful innocent site. I am so happy with how this turn out, what do you think???? Cuts and font (black rose) are all scal, pp is mostly autum leaves and I believe the stamps are fiskar. Look at that I even journalled IN MY OWN WRITTING!!!!!

This is my 1st attempt at a tear bear LO. Its for the best of the messageboard april challenge GO TEAM CARD SHARKS!!!! For this LO I created the bears with scal and had to invest some $ in supplies. This is my first try with mulberry paper (aside from one cut I made for a friend) 1st time using diamond glaze LOVE IT! 1st time using charms, 1st time with peachykeen stamps, 1st time with pearls LOVE THEM and the flowers had to go back and get some of those in every color they had, 1st time painting on a LO and all pp/cardstock and stickles were brand new for this LO. After all that I hope my dd loves it!!!!!!! Cant wait to do more like this, maybe one day soon I will be half as good as those ladies selling on ebay for hundrens even thousands. Now if only I could do this AND get the paper to stay flat!!! lol. Does the bear on the bottom look too sad to you? She does to me but I am not sure how or if I can fix it. Home made shrinky dinks key chain

Caitlynsmommy from the cricut mb shared a site with us about creating shrinky dinks from recycled #6 plastic. Of course as soon as I read this I thought this would be a perfect craft/gifts for the kids to do so we headed out for supplies. I do not recommend heading to the grocery store bakery department and actually asking for baked goods only wrapped in #6 plastic repeating that it doesnt matter what the baked goods are, they think your insane lol. But none the less after lookin a fool I did get my plastic and a couple dozen hot cross buns :D. The kids werent very interested in this project, still a bit young but we did have success :D I am sorry I didnt have as much success with taking the pic though :(

you will need

#6 plastic

stamp of choice (I use studio g supcakes for mine) and/or makers

Whole punch or paper piercer

tin foil

key chain

Sand paper or nail file

1. cut plastic to size you will work with

2.Stamp image with staz-on or anicent page ink

3.Colour your image

4.place on tin foil

5.place directly on botton rack of 350F preheated oven for 1-3mins depending on desired size

6.Should folding occur during cooking u have 10-15s to flatten image before it cools completely. This did NOT happen to me.

7.File any edges to make em smooth & straight.

This would be a great project for preserving kids art work, no need to use stamps just let them colour write on the plastic and vola you have a mini version of one of a kind artwork!!! :D

This had no plan just fell together as I went, for instance the skittle on the date. I spilt my skittles over top of the calendar and when I was picking them up I seen that the skittles magnify the print. I didnt know that and think thats totally cool, why didnt anyone tell me??? :P So yeah this is the result of a great big mess, and I got to use up some of my "ugly" paper :D I think this may be my fav card I have made :D Deffinately seeing progress in my work since I started scrapbooking/cardmaking anyways.
