You're ranting machine, rant-o-rama, the rantster, the real rant man!!John Fryehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02575709757912510374noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2394606.post-1133928872135532022005-12-06T23:14:00.000-05:002005-12-06T23:14:00.000-05:00yeah, interesting stuff, mark.<BR/><BR/>a few random thoughts:<BR/><BR/>1. it seems that your final point (about rung seven, and how belief informs action) is very similar to my "theological premise" to my rant series, that we develop theology based on what we want the theology to do for us. in other words, the outcome of much of our theological development is pre-determined by who we are and what we already believe.<BR/><BR/>2. i said this repetitively (almost too much so) in the early posts in my rant, and chose not to repeat it ad nauseum, but i'm going to repeat it here: i am tired of rants against others (or 'them'). my rant is a rant pointed at me and the rest of MY church. i have always worked in the churches i describe, i attend one now, and i put food on my table by selling books and events to those churches (it's a bit more altruistic than that, but you get the point). you'll see, as i get into more of the points, the americanisms i'm describing are VERY much me!<BR/><BR/>3. i am so offended that you said "junior highers are _________." to say that about junior highers is intollerable to me. i can hardly believe that you, a former self-described 'junior high guy' would stoop that low.markohttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02955212552617743666noreply@blogger.com
