We foraged into Death Valley from Pahrump Nevada. Stayed at Terrible Herbst Lakeside RV and Casino, which must be one of the nicest RV places we have ever stayed at. From there, you can quite nicely do day trips into Death Valley or go to Las Vegas for a totally different outing.
