I'll be done at Sanford Health on February 22 and will certainly miss all the great people there. I've enjoyed helping take their online game to the next level, but am quite excited about the challenges that lie ahead by starting my own venture.

I've tightened down the name and logo, but still have muchos workos to do. Particularly, search has floated to the top as the primary method people use to get local info - above the print yellow pages, above the online yellow pages, and above newspaper. When 81% of people call the internet "vital" to their day-to-day and 90% have used it for local search, it's time small businesses embrace (further) the power and potential of search.

Paul Ten Hakenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05298693152480373921noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23548124.post-69060622032745771072008-01-05T20:19:00.000-06:002008-01-05T20:24:20.419-06:00Step Into the BoothIt's tough to know where all the 2008 presidential candidates stand on every issue, but glassbooth.org is a nifty little site to see which candidate(s) closest match your personal interests and ideals. This is a great story on an absolutely great guy. And from reading the article, it certainly appears that this isn't the last time we'll be seeing big things from Mr. Sanford.

Paul Ten Hakenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05298693152480373921noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23548124.post-36764780227636839722007-09-16T14:39:00.001-05:002007-09-16T14:39:13.323-05:00Remember Me video

A powerful video is making the rounds on the war and the need to support our troops. And I got the meet Alan Thicke. You can check out the broadcast on the WE channel this Friday, September 21 at 7PM CST.

Also, I've learned my lesson on flying with a 20-month old. Always fully charge the DVD player or plan for a long, long flight.

Paul Ten Hakenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05298693152480373921noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23548124.post-89591017197397237082007-08-30T22:38:00.000-05:002007-08-30T22:47:45.356-05:00R.I.P - YouTube Ad FreeI knew it wouldn't be long before Google threw YouTube to the advertising sharks.

Paul Ten Hakenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05298693152480373921noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23548124.post-77801352160934700822007-08-12T19:29:00.000-05:002007-08-12T19:42:44.718-05:00McBrandingA recent Johns Hopkins study on kids perception of McDonalds food reveals some interesting (but not surprising) results regarding the branding effect of the fast food behemoth. The long and short of it is that you take two identical burgers, put one in a McDonalds bag, and three-quarters of the little shavers will say the McD's burger tastes better. While this isn't necessarily a huge shock, it does reinforce the massive mindshare that McD's owns on youth and the clear leadership position they can play in helping "correct" the much-talked-about, little-action-taken-on children obesity issue. That's some supersized McResponsibility. That's my last McJoke.

Paul Ten Hakenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05298693152480373921noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23548124.post-84934813305174774432007-07-14T08:39:00.001-05:002008-12-09T23:19:23.725-06:00Resume building

Where were internships like this when I was in college?

Via adfreak

Paul Ten Hakenhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05298693152480373921noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23548124.post-92011737768224443462007-06-21T20:35:00.000-05:002007-06-21T20:38:59.120-05:00Domains and HamThe latest Business 2.0 has a great article on Kevin Ham, the man behind the .cm type-o gold-mine.
