The installation documentation indeed says that the computer name BizTalk is installed on cannot be longer than 15 characters but does not explain why.

Thanks for your detail explanation,

Francois.Francois Malgrevehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01466687593314104911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2349891517694519380.post-75027159871488612602008-11-26T02:04:00.000+07:002008-11-26T02:04:00.000+07:00Hi,Thank you for your article, it helped me a lot ...Hi,

Thank you for your article, it helped me a lot to configure BizTalk. Howerver, I had a problem that may causing problems to others as well.

The server where BizTalk is installed, used to have a name of 16 characters. Apperantly, NetBios name can have max 15 characters. Because of that, NetBios name and Windows name were different, and it was causing BizTalk group creation to faill.

The problem is resolved by putting shorter name (max 15 characters) for BizTalk server, and to install and configure BizTalk again.

Cheers,

MishaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2349891517694519380.post-82190185121310237422008-09-02T16:35:00.000+07:002008-09-02T16:35:00.000+07:00Very impressive article !!!
