Fun, Vegging and Hobbies

Right,

Following a few weeks of grafting, I have taken a month or two of fun, vegging and hobbies.

I am now back on track.

College starts, again, in a week or two, onto the '2nd' year of my BA (Hons.) in Law and Criminology. I managed a 2:2/2:1 borderline, in the '1st' year, which is not too bad, as I did not break a sweat and I had a few distractions during the 2 years :)

It is only the ‘2nd’ and ‘3rd’ years which contribute to the degree classification. I should like a 1st Class, but it is no big shakes, as it will not affect the future, and a high 2:1 would be fine - we will see. I do this for access and knowledge, not a stamp-collecting exercise.

Lucy is fine, apart from a post-heat, vaginal infection (should really have her spayed) and all paperwork is ready for a number of forthcoming projects, concerning the media and some other organisations.

A few more court appearances, methinks, in the future.

About one year ago, I applied to be a 'meter reader' for the local electricity company.

This morning, their agency telephoned me to see if I was still interested.

Being here, many times before, I said ... "Did I provide all my details? ..."

She said "No", and when I explained the situation, her voice shifted from chirpy to formal and she explained that the company would not allow my employment, due to their 'policy'. Had it been 15 years ago, maybe then, but she wished me well in my search.

Ho hum.

I was in Magistrates' Court, yesterday, on a long-running issue to do with my, now-destroyed car ... adjourned ... more on Friday.

Mood: Resigned.

So - How is Lucy?

When I was released (thank you to those of you who know who you are - I am indebted to you for life), after a few days, I noticed that Lucy had some little lumps around the base of some of her nipples.

Having felt tumours in my mum's lymphatic nodes, before her death, I was pretty sure what it was.

Off to the vets and, indeed, it was mammary tumours. We had caught it 'in time' ... although, in my experience, this disease seems a lot slower in dogs, than in humans - but is was a relief.

It was also a relief, when I found out that I was able to get financial support from the PDSA. If you ever need a charity to support - they are the one for me, from now on.

So, following two separate operations, here is Lucy ... following the second:
