In the foothills of the Montnegre the house was built before the French revolution and was initially an inn - siyuated between two rieras - dry river beds - los cuarto caminos - the crossroads
nowadays it is my garden - my attempt to recreate my childhood paradise - a big vegetable garden - an orchard of dubious value - have planted lots of trees - and so have learned what they lok like and seen and eaten their fruits - that is what the birds and insects and fungi leave me
I have tried to create a haven for little creatures - planting trees, shrubs with berries, flowers for pollen and nectar and ponds for my beloved amphibians - the last three years the mother salamaders have trusted me with their young - a great honour - and well looked after they are - fed water fleas from the acquatic plant farm near home
I have made a weak attempt at hedges and a hedgerow - though the shade of the plane trees has made them all wispy - not the dense , impenatratable defence I wanted. The bambu has worked thoughneilhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09254869432588592186noreply@blogger.com
