Bali offers an exceptional diving experience for all levels of divers, and variety of dive sites. In Bali we conduct dive ventures combining ship wrecks, vertical drop-offs, over sand slopes, black volcanic out crops, limestone shores, amongst huge bommies, in roaring currents, in quite bays, along deep outstanding corals, covered ridges, over sea grass beds, Bali can offer it all.

Above the water the physical and cultural beauty of the island is legendary, which means that unlike so many other great diving areas, there is always something to do or see for you and your family during your surface intervals. TULAMBEN.
One of Bali best site is Tulamben, USS Liberty has sunk on January 11, 1942 this ship was hit by torpedoes from a Japanese submarine while crossing Lombok strait. The wreck is lying 6 meters from the beach until 35 meters. Divers simply walk out from the beach, spit in their masks, and go It is provided an accessible and interesting underwater attraction for both diver and snorkeled.

AMED/JEMELUK BEACH
This diving area located East Coast of island, shore dive, good underwater panorama with with colorful tropical fish, coral and gorgonians. You can enjoy all of attraction from 6 meters deep up to 40 meters. Calm water, black sand and some time a good visibility make your journey more enjoyable. Access by outrigger boat or swim from the shore.

PADANG BAY
This hideaway village and its white sandy beaches are reached by road only one hour from Sanur. A short boat ride then takes you to these dive sites. Bright white sand and colorful corals are home to everything from the smallest reef fishes to all manner of marine life; rays, cuttlefish, crocodile fish, and frequent shark & turtle sightings. Much more gentle & protected than the islands off the East coast, and for this reason with much warmer waters too.

PURI JATI/ZEN BEACH
Pura Jati or Zen Beach is newly discovered and unique dive site in Bali. This is what the expert call Top quality Muck Diving. There is no Tropical Coral reef like many other places. But when you dive here you will be fascinated by the huge diversity of Marine life. Just walk in and swim out less than 50 meters. This is any Photographer or Marine life expert dream.

MENJANGAN ISLAND - NATIONAL MARINE PARK
There are at least 8 different Dive site around the island. Menjangan island is world class dive site in Bali with its clear blue water with fantastic corals, million of multi colored tropical fish, turtles and rays. You can dive here for days For all diver levels and great place for snorkel or hangout on the white sandy beaches.

SECRET BAY,
Secret Bay or Gilimanuk bay is the only bay off the narrow Bali strait, where currents can reach 7 knots, which means that Gilimanuk bay acts as a catch tank for many larva fish and other plankton sweeping along between Java and Bali. This is the reason why this bay offers a number of rare jewels for the macro-photographer, including odd gobies, dragonets, nudibranches, seahorses, juvenile Batavia batfish, and many other organisms.

NUSA PENIDA and LEMBONGAN
Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan, located about one hour and a half from Kuta, has dive sites for the novice to the more experienced diver. The Blue Lagoon is ideal for all divers. Starting from 2 to 18 meters, the clear calm water has tons of fish, plant, and marine life associated with tropical warm water diving.

GILI TOPEKONG / BIAHA / MIMPANG
One and half hour from Denpasar, it is located in the front of Candi Dasa Beach,one of the famous tourist resort in Karangasem Regency, fifteen minutes from Padang Bay by boat. This diving area offer you a nice underwater panorama. And need advance level diver due the strong current and some white Tip shark hang on this area.

SANUR AND NUSA DUA
Dives off Nusa Dua will probably not offer such a show very often, but are still worth making for the variety of fish here. The reef to the north, off the Sanur coast, is similar-wide tidal flats behind the reef front, and access is also impossible at the lowest tide. The variety of fishes is quite good in Sanur, but there is even less coral cover than at Nusa Dua. If you are a serious diver, either of these dives will just whet your appetite for more challenging locations.

PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) is the world’s largest in the recreational diving industry. All PADI courses are performance-based, you get as much time as you need to practise your new skills prior to certification. Above all, our instructors will ensure that not only is your course low-stress and safe, but you will have great fun too!

PADI Open Water Diver. It's three or four days program for beginners with as a result your word wide recognized PADI certification which enables you to dive with your own buddy. Price : US$ 330.
Not enough time in Bali? No worries! Take PADI Scuba Diver, a half the course, finish it later. It's just take in two days. Price US$ 250

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver . A two days program for five dives. The course to experience diving to the max! You know how to dive already, now is time for new challenges! Choice of night, navigation, naturalist, deep, wreck, buoyancy, multilevel and much more! Price US$ 290.

Emergency First Response (EFR). One day medic first aid and CPR program for diver and non-diver. Price US$ 135. (Book included)

PADI Rescue Diver A three days program. A turning point in every diver career. Profound theoretical lessons and more practice for people in search of deeper knowledge. Price US$ 320.

PADI Dive Master - Go Pro. A 7 to 10 days program . Your first chance to guide other divers, help students and organize events. The first step to be a real dive pro! Price US$ 800

Hi... I am Made Suwena. I'm born and grew up in Bali till one long stay in Bandung city, west side of Java Island. Back home again in 2000 to settle and enjoy my life in Bali.

In the several years that I live in Bali again, I guided many diving trips or safaris and introductory dives around Bali, gave a lot of demonstrations in hotels and certified hundreds students.

Formal Education : Pharmacist degree from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) - West Java, Indonesia.

PADI & SSI

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SSI AND PADI?

In terms of diver training there is little between them. Firstly they both follow the diving standards set by R.S.T.C [recreational scuba training council], meaning that knowledge and skill requirements for certain programs or courses are almost the same. There are some small differences between the two agencies but both teach very good courses and produce good, safe divers.

PADI [Professional Association of Diving Instructors] is bigger and more famous than SSI [Scuba Schools International], but this does not mean that it is better or more recognized. Every dive centre in the world also knows and recognizes SSI. On a customer basis the main difference here in Indonesia between the two agencies is that SSI do not make it compulsory for candidates to buy course books and manuals, where as PADI do. With the SSI courses you can borrow our books/manuals whilst on a course, but do not have to buy your own copy. Meaning people have the choice of buying the SSI books here or at home / or not at all. Great for those who do not want to carry heavy books around, or who are on a budget. Obviously incorporated into the price of a PADI course is the particular book or manual this makes Padi's course prices considerably higher.

Located in the Lesser Sundas, Bali is midway along Indonesia's southernmost chain of islands between Java and Lombok. The island's south coast touches the easternmost edge of the Indian Ocean, while the north coast looks onto the Java Sea.

With its warm water, extensive coral reefs and abundant marine life, diving in Bali offers some superb exploratory diving possibilities: a wide variety of pelagics, tuna, mackerel, jacks and bonito, barracuda and several species of shark
Rays are common at many sites and some species of marine mammal are found off Bali's coast, including dolphins.

The five main areas for diving in Bali are Nusa Dua and Sanur; Padang Bai and Candidasa, Nusa penida, Tulamben and Menajangan. Each area is unique and offers suitable conditions for both beginners and experienced divers.

Bali is definitely the perfect holiday destination for divers and non-divers
