It was a tough road this year for the Decatur Eagles, with several injuries plaguing the team. The Abilene Wiley Bulldogs defeated the mighty blue Friday night in bi-district play at Graham. #6 Zach Zamzow makes a great catch only to be face masked by a defending player...This set up a td for a 20-20 tie up in the second quarter.
#2 Matt Huddleston rockets toward the goal...

Another one bites the dust...as this Eagle #33 Monte Newton lands a blow to knock loose the football from an Argyle runningback. Later this fumble was recovered by #64 Nick Martinez.
It was a neck and neck game for the Decatur Eagles, Friday night. Turnovers were key as the Argyle Eagles capitalized on them.... But not without a great battle by the Big Blue...

The Battle of Big Sandy

The Decatur Eagles claimed the sand over the Bridgeport Bulls in football action, Friday, October 12th. It was a real on the edge of your seat kind of game, that went into an overtime decision. Josh Trant #1 plunged into the corner endzone, to put the Eagles over the top, 48-44. Great Game Everyone, We have some great athletes in Wise County. Bridgeport Homecoming Game

Brandon Graybill is touchdown bound, on a 74 yard pass completion in the 4th quarter!!!!!!!

The Bridgeport Bulls celebrated their homecoming Friday, September 28th, playing the Iowa Park Hawks. Highlights include the crowning of the Queen, the nominees, the class of 57, and of course more football.

Far right image, top, an airborne Josh Trant, dives into the end zone, unfortunately this td, was a no go, due to a holding penalty...But what a shot....

Even surrounded by a bunch of bears, Trant makes his moves.........

The double duo...look for this pair of receivers to be up to the Right Stuff....... Great game guys.........

#44 Defensive end Chase Villado was chased down the entire length of the field as he scored big off of an interception....

#56 Clint Spurlock, #5 Jake Connally, and #26 Brennon Lemieux EAGLE defense kicking the Bears butts........

Football Season Kickoffs

Watched our fearless Decatur Eagles play the Burkburnett Bulldogs, Friday Night, August 31st. Held over in overtime, the Eagles made a fine attempt with a field goal..but fell short of a win, as the Bulldogs, got an endzone run to make it 19-13.

Got to see some exciting plays, and great defense by the Eagles. Captured the first Eagle touchdown of the season, (Senior) Matt Schooling #32 pass interception. Great catch too by the way of (Junior) #5 Jake Connally, turning leap, past midfield deep. Followed up later on by another great catch by (Junior) #6 Zach Zamzow. You two guys are a real double threat....Look out Brewer...
