You capture these fellows' fun-loving, though hard-working nature and place them within their geography. It inspires me to go for that wider angle. Looks like a union logo on the standing' guy's shirt. Many of my clients for whom I do graphic design and photos are unions...so, I appreciate the important message about America's backbone.Mindyhttp://f-stopmarin.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22699077.post-29274992208389175552008-09-19T13:18:00.000-04:002008-09-19T13:18:00.000-04:00Laurie, this is excellent. I also like how the tattooed gentleman is sitting on his hardhat.

My father is also one of those men that built America. He is a retired brick mason and worked on buildings all over Pennsylvania and in Washington, DC. To this day, I'm amazed at the craftsmanship that his hands produced over the years. One of the more personal things he built was the veteran's memorial in the little town where he grew up. It was poignant because he got to add his own name, and those of his cousins', to that memorial.Russhttp://newhanover.aminus3.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22699077.post-89477761693226190162008-09-11T21:38:00.000-04:002008-09-11T21:38:00.000-04:00Very fine and powerful picture of powerful people....Very fine and powerful picture of powerful people.
