I'll try it again, Ally. Promise. It wasn't BP and Ange that I didn't like. It was where the script went in places. I agree that they did a good job. I especially liked BP in it, and there were bits I did like. But every now and then I'd catch myself going, "Huh? What's this saying?"

Probably I was over-thinking it. Or maybe reacting like a parent wondering what message it would be

I enjoyed "Mr and Mrs Smith" the first time I saw it and have loved it more and more ever since. Which says something as I can't stand Ange! But I think the both of them turn in likeable, funny, slick performances in this movie. I think the script is dry and clever and I really love it!
Maybe try again in six months and see if it has grown on you ;).

Jill, let me know what you think when you watch Mr and Mrs Smith again. My taste is all over the map. I can watch very low-brow stuff as long as I know that's what I'm getting. And I'd just seen Kal Penn in The Namesake, about which I should have written a blog as it was a much more memorable film than either Smith or Harold and Kumar.
