Though there are millions of stories out there, this is a tail from the point of view of a 6lb. Pomeranian. My name is Woodie the Dorfin and welcome to my world. PS. For those of you unfamiliar with blogs, the earliest is at the bottom, and the very first items are in the archives. It is a good idea to start there on the first visit. I don't know if I mentioned this before, but I am part otter. I simply love to swim.We were at the ocean a couple weeks ago in Rehoboth, Delaware and Mama had to keep pulling me out of the waves. It was great. When the "Surf's Up", give me a surf board, and I can probably beat any old penguin with these "Happy Woodiehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01488236355285621346noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21979488.post-55218912819152654132008-08-11T22:09:00.002-05:002008-08-11T22:12:45.706-05:00Sometimes You Just Need a BreakDuring a recent hike, we came across this cool outcropping. While Momma and Inna decided what they were doing (actually, I think it was excuse to rest), I found the neatest place around.I'm no dummy! Cinnamon and I go with them and sometimes one of my "nephews".As it goes with a lot of things in life, at least as I have noticed, one thing turns into another and the 2 hour walks turned into 7 to 13 mile, 5 to 7 hour hikes. I'm not sure what a mile is, but my paws know. Basically I can't do this myself. I've tried typing and my paws just keep sliding off the keyboard.Mama's been busy with her garden and/or her bad back.Papa is just now getting over his accident from last year. He finally agreed to help me again.Of course, part of it is having my three "nephews" living here. It’s not my fault… really. As I’ve told you many times, a human has to do the actual typing because my paws keep slipping off the keys. Therein lies the problem. Hmm… maybe if I let my nails get longer. Papa and Mama have had a lot of problems this year. She had back surgery and still has pain. She really keeps the chiropractor busy. We call him "Racer", because of his stripes, but he is so intelligent he will adapt to whatever you call him. He is so lovable you will fall for him immediately. He will probably weigh about 8 lbs, like his father. He really would like to be in a good home with people who love him. Cinnamon has been a darn good Mama, especially considering she had no training and I sure am no good at this stuff. In fact, they scare the heck out of me.Papa call’s them from left to right: Footloose, Speed Racer (Racer for short), and Pom Lite. Of course there is a story behind each of them.Poor Footloose! (I can’t be a Papa, I lost my doghood when I was very young). But… Cinnamon and Sir Buddy have combined their efforts and she is with puppy, as they say in the Bible. It is hard to tell when, but sometime between February 2nd & Valentine’s Day, the blessed event will occur. Mama is simply gahgah, agog, you know what I mean. He and Mama have been a little under the weather as they say. Things have been occasionally exciting though. Help! You are not going to believe this!!Papa and I went on some errands this morning; you know the usual, the Post Office, grocery store and the bank. At first everything went fine. Papa does his business very quickly. We arrived at the bank and Papa went inside. It took him forever. Every night I risked health and limb sleeping with Mama and Papa. As the song goes, “Mama was a rolling stone….” She tossed and turned and rolled all night.
