Last night Poorly Drawn People were tight. The whole crowd was in to it. Wish I brought my camera. Oh well.

I did however bring my camera to the six finger satellite show. Below is my fav pic from the night. I'm going to see the Neon Bitches tonight and The New Lewiss tomorrow, I'll be sure to take some pics.

A very full weekend, full of great shows. If you are in Providence and aren't out at one of these things, you really suck.

- Thursday was Dino Jr at Club Hell in Providence.

- Friday was Six Finger Satellite at Machines with Magnets in Pawtucket. They rocked by the way. The show was packed, everyone was there. Japanther also played last night at Firehouse13, but I missed it due to the 6FS show.

- Saturday Night (Tonight) Poorly Drawn People is having their record release show. Also tonight, at Local 121, Slice & Soda (San Serac and Para One) are djing with Morgan louis. Both events should be fun so try to make it to both.

- Sunday night its the Neon Bitches and a bunch of touring bands at the Metal Mansion (or whatever they call it now).

- Monday Night The New Lewiss and Mahi Mahi are at the Dark Lady in Providence.

Man, I'm tired already. I'll bring my camera around and take some pics if I feel like it. Maybe I'll post them here if any are good.

i just got back from the dinosaur jr show and it was awasdume. the show started really early at like 7 and i missed the firsr band but thats ok, who cares. cause dinosaur was awesome! atr one point they rockedas so hard that my face actually fell off and i had to look for it on the ground, someone stepped on it and i had to yell at hem to get off of my face but they were like oh shit man, i didn't realsize i was standing on your face. so it was cool,. no hardi feelings but it was nice. i then had a scorpioon bowl and then i went to 121 and saw some craopy dj try to spin some shit. he sucked whoever he was. but i drank and looked stoupit on trhe dancefloor with some stupis people it was dumb. you should have been there cause i was drunk. and you should have seen the no one there was cool it was dumb. i'll go next time.

Good Shows

Dinosaur Jr is playing tonight at Club Hell in Providence. Amazing. My favorite band ever. They are playing at some pretty small venues this tour and as a bonus they have a tour 7" for anyone that has a ticket. I don't think too many people know about the show, so could be interesting. Their last CD was great, and they just signed to Jagjaguwar and are releasing some more new stuff soon.

Six Finger Satellite is playing tomorrow night at Machines With Magnets. Another great show that I can't wait for. Should be sick. One time, a band I used to be in played a sick show with 6FS and Arab on Radar in NYC at this small warehouse space. The space could probably fit 150 comfortably but there was a line wrapped around the block, it was so crowded people were standing all around me and I was hitting people (pretty hard too) as I played the drums, there were naked people passing out on the floor, and more interesting shit. Probably one of the funnest shows I have ever been to. Hopefully something similar happens tomorrow night.

We shall see.

So I just found this site that sells awesome things like scorpion vodka (with an edible scorpion inside), worm lolipops, chocolate covered giant ants, and tons of other bugs you can eat from all over the world. There is even coffee that has been eaten and regurgitated by a weasel and tea leaves that has been hand picked by a specially trained monkey!

I really kind of want the vodka, everything else I probably wouldn't touch, I guess maybe if I had the Vodka first...

Another cool invention is this beer can wrapper. It makes it look like you are drinking some cheapass imitation soda, but you'll be drinking a cheapass beer instead! Bonus: You can just throw this in the cooler next to some name brand soda and not even worry, cause I mean really, who is gonna grab something that says "Peski" on it? Brilliant! Unfortunately, it prolly won't work on those tall delicious cans of Narragansett that we all love to drink so much.

Glow in the dark bike

Riding your bike at night just got so much better. Puma is offering a new glow-in-the-dark bike that I want to get, right now. And it has this sorta cool feature where the lock is built in to the bike, and if someone tries to steal it, it breaks the bike and makes it unusable, I really can't say thats good or bad. I mean, yea at least your bike didn't get stolen, but now no one gets to have fun with it. That doesn't seem cool either. I still want one, I just won't steal it. I guess their plan worked.

I have a thing for the 1950's. I like old school dating, going steady and just plain chivalry altogether. If you don't buy me dinner and take me out a few times, you have zero chance. That's what chicks did back in the day and if you ask me, that's mad fun. I also like furniture and just decor in general from that same era. Then there are, of course, things that should have stayed in the '50's and hells ya, this is one of them.
