But then my son came of age, and he just really needed to be with other children more. they do have homeschooling groups that meet, but I didn't feel like it was enough. However, I watch how his education goes, and I would pull him (or Lil'G) if i felt it was not good enough... I think it is barely good enough right now.
In our area Homeschooling is pretty big. There is lots of support, and tools keep getting better and better for parents! I have a friend who has homeschooled her kids off and on, depending on the year, and teacher, etc. I think that has been wise. I don't think it has to be all or nothing, and our kids change so much, their needs change. So someday I may find we should do it.
Homeschooled kids get into great universities in large numbers. So.

;)Amberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04680903854519503303noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21864846.post-41823742461823713492008-08-05T17:16:00.000-04:002008-08-05T17:16:00.000-04:00I homeschool my kiddos and it is great! My family thinks I am nuts, and my husband does, but in part because his family has said I am nuts and he still listens to them too much. I think it will be fun, and that I can do a better job of teaching my children than strangers. I have already thought about things I want to do with my children. Why do so many people think homeshooled children are weird? Some are, the same as some traditionally schooled children are weird. It depends on parenting, personalities, and interaction with people outside the family. You can have good interactions outside your own family without going to traditional school.

We can share notes one day on homeschooling. I say go for it, but you don't need my approval.Nuttygirlhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04187432891047939552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21864846.post-17225764239860484882008-08-02T22:55:00.000-04:002008-08-02T22:55:00.000-04:00I can see it now!
