I was on a seldom used Forest Road way up on the top of the mountain walking along when suddenly I heard God speak to me. HIS Words: "Be Still and Know that I AM" Not unusual since that happens to be a favorite passage of scripture for me but....why then....why at that time....that place? I don't have the answer but I know I heard from God. I asked almost immediately, "What part of me do you want to be still?" That was the wrong question to ask because HE immediately brought to my mind the picture of Abram when God spoke to him in Genesis 12. In verse 4 it says that Abram "departed". Again in Hebrews 11:8 it says that Abraham "obeyed". So, my question is, why did I not just obey instead of offering up a verbal comeback? The Answer: Because I am still in the process of change. Changing to become more Christlike. I am on the journey that Abraham set out for. Think about this and let me know your reaction.
God's PEACE on All who read this and a reminder to Be Still and Know that GOD is in Control.

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21403607.post-1145190132131392922006-04-16T05:19:00.000-07:002006-04-16T05:23:33.266-07:00The Tomb is EmptyHAPPY EASTER
THE LORD IS RISEN

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21403607.post-1143901063702578612006-04-01T06:08:00.000-08:002006-04-09T06:25:01.453-07:00You Can't Get There From Here! This is a popular phrase out here in New Mexico. "You can't get there from here!" The people are saying something to the effect that you would have to drive around the mountain, or take a different way or maybe an arroyo is flooding out the road.
Hebrews 11:8 says about Abraham, "By FAITH Abraham, when he was called to out into a place which he should afterward receive for an inheritance, OBEYED; and he went out, not knowing where he was going!"
Abraham didn't have the resouces that we have today. He didn't have computers that had all the up to the minute technology that could take him places he never even heard of before. Abraham didn't have Google Earth to help search out far away lands nor did he have MapQuest. All Abraham had was FAITH.
Last week at our Bible Study, we discussed the word FAITH. It was a lively discussion and I sensed the HOLY SPIRIT was using it in the lives of people. We all left the study with a better understanding of what the God Kind of FAITH really is. The big question was: "Is FAITH a gift from GOD?" Study that out and let me know your thoughts. Start with Ephesians 2:8-9.
Last night we again had a very lively discussion on the word HUMILITY. Once again, God the HOLY SPIRIT taught all of us what true HUMILITY is. O that we all become more CHRIST-LIKE.
"You can't get there from here" is a cute catch phrase that I hope caught your eye. As Christians we all should be able to say that We CAN get there from here. I encourage you all to study God's Word...HE gave it to us so it would become our road map, our MapQuest to become Christ-like. With God directing us, WE CAN GET THERE FROM HERE.

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21403607.post-1142350997109374992006-03-14T07:43:00.000-08:002006-03-14T07:46:56.330-08:00I CAN
I CAN

I Samuel 14:6 “Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, "Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the LORD will work for us. Maybe the LORD will help us; if he does, nothing can keep him from giving us the victory, no matter how few of us there are."
TEV

Wouldn’t you agree that Jonathan, the son of Saul, the not-too-wise king, had an “I CAN” attitude and determination in his voice?

We can say many things about Saul but get right to the meat of the Word and learn the lesson God is teaching us. I CAN but…only when God is in it. If I don’t invite God’s Control, it won’t happen. Jonathan said, “…it may be that the Lord will work for us.” Don’t mistake his statement as a negative or doubting comment on his part, or that he was about to put God to the test. I believe that Jonathan totally trusted God to deliver the Philistines into his hands and give him the victory over them. “Jonathan's resolution arose from the strong conviction that Israel was the nation of God, who would not refuse His help to His people in their conflict with the foes of His kingdom, if they would only put their whole trust in Him.”
(from Keil and Delitzsch Commentary on the Old Testament: New Updated Edition, Electronic Database. Big things usually have small beginnings.
The mega churches of today had their humble beginnings where perhaps one or two couples started to worship and preach in their garage where some small gathering of people said, "GOD CAN".
Let us enjoy 'humble beginnings' while they are yet small and everyone knows one another, let us continue to strive to "LET GOD" have HIS Way among us.
This past Sunday we ministered in a small Navajo church 113 miles from Cuba. 30 people were in attendance BUT they literally worshiped God ALL DAY with real Love for JESUS.
Last night we attended a prayer meeting to pray that God's Will be done in the upcoming election for Village council and mayor. For the first time ever, 2 Christians are running for office. 15 people were in attendance praising and worshiping God.
Whether it be 15, 30, 300 or 30,000....GOD is Honored by all that bring Glory to Jesus. Remember Philippians 4:13 I CAN do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.
"GOD CAN"

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21403607.post-1141054212127803222006-02-27T07:30:00.000-08:002006-02-27T07:49:21.133-08:00God is HereGod is Here

Yesterday, Sunday, we went out to the Rez Church and were truly blessed. One of the most powerful worship leaders in our area showed up to lead worship and as we sang praises to our Lord Jesus, the Holy Spirit moved throughout the building leaving a fresh fragrance of HIS Presence. What a wonderful experience it was. To worship with other believers who know what it is to be in the presence of GOD.
Before we left the house yesterday morning, the Lord spoke to my heart about what to share or preach on when we got there. The words of our daily devotional came to my mind, “Who are you trying to impress?”
So, when it came time during the service to share and preach on what God had given me, I spoke on Matthew 6:5 where Jesus teaches His disciples to pray as if you are simply talking to God. Would your child say to you, "O, great, most gracious and loving earthly parent, what is it that thou dost wish me to do?" I don’t think so…not in this day and age. You would have a good chuckle if they did. We don’t use those flowery words in our daily life so why do we think we have to be so rigid in our speech to our Heavenly Father? If you need to get back in touch with Praying to your Heavenly Father, why not listen intently to the prayers of new believers. They are infants in their Christian experience and don’t speak out a lot of gobble de gook. They are spontaneous and honest in their prayers. I encourage you to get back to basics and know that GOD is HERE….wherever you are. We will be discussing the attributes of God, soon. There is no better way to know who God is than to learn and study HIS Names and HIS Attributes.
God Bless You all and know that we pray for you all daily.

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21403607.post-1140916278838781102006-02-25T17:11:00.000-08:002006-02-25T17:11:20.870-08:00Rom 831Rom 8:31
If God is for us, who can be against us?
NKJV

I’m the kind of guy who now looks to see how God is working in my life and who HE is using to speak to me. Sometimes I try to hide from God. Oh, I know HE is Omni-present, but sometimes I try to flee from God. AND, when I try to flee is when I hear HIS Voice the loudest. O Yes…God speaks to me loud and clear, usually through the voice of other people. That’s why I listen for the voice of God all the time. Remember Balaam in Numbers 22. His donkey sees the angel of the Lord but he doesn’t. Read it….it’s a hoot. Tell me that God doesn’t have a sense of humor. God speaks through the donkey to Balaam and the funny part is…Balaam is so frustrated, he ANSWERS the donkey. Wow.
Now I ask you, can God speak to you through the voice of others? Even the unsaved? The answer should be obvious to you…. YES. HE is God. When you do speak of JESUS, tell everyone that HE not only died but that HE didn’t stay on the cross…HE arose from the grave. Halleluiah…. JESUS lives. HE lives in you when you accept HIM as your personal Savior. You are a creation of God.

Well….I’m having too much fun right now….I can wait on that until I’m old…

Do you know for a fact that you will live to be old? The Bible says that no one knows when you will die…but GOD. It is appointed unto man once to die…. Who does that ‘appointing’ ??? GOD

These are just some of the questions you may be asking someone that has been talking to you about JESUS. Don't put off accepting Jesus Christ as your personal Savior. Hell is not going to be a fun place to go. You won't see your friends there. Heaven is a beautiful place.... a place where the streets are solid gold. Accept Jesus today. There is no decision you will ever make that will be more important than to decide to accept Jesus and make HIM Lord of your life.

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21403607.post-1138886940237626212006-02-02T05:21:00.000-08:002006-02-02T05:29:00.313-08:00Wait on God...?Dear Ones;
Found this just this morning by Woodrow Kroll:

Sometimes the purposes and messages of God are revealed slowly. His grand designs can never be hurried. The great New England preacher Phillips Brooks was a man of great poise and quiet manner. Yet at times he suffered from moments of frustration when he had to wait on God. One day a friend saw him feverishly pacing the floor like a caged animal.

"What's the trouble, Mr. Brooks?" he asked.

"The trouble is that I am in a hurry, but God isn't!"

Are we willing to Wait on God? Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait on the Lord...." It really must be important for us to learn to do this because it say it again in the same verse. Read it.
Gods Blessings on you all.

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21403607.post-1138751527621748472006-01-31T15:51:00.000-08:002006-01-31T15:52:07.636-08:00Cuba, NM Weather

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21403607.post-1138742859436938542006-01-31T13:27:00.000-08:002006-01-31T13:36:24.293-08:00Out of the Frying PanOut of the Frying Pan…
Into the FIRE

Every time I open the Bible, God speaks to me through HIS Word. Not any different today…
This morning I opened to Acts 27:31 to find this verse: “Paul said to the centurion and the soldiers, “Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved.” Earlier in verse 25: “Therefore take heart, men, for I believe God that it will be just as it was told me.”

Two things I would like to point out about these verses:
#1…I Believe God
#2…Stay in the Ship and you will be saved

Think about it. God wants us to Believe Him. How do we know what to believe? II Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” So then, we are to believe All Scripture.
What about staying in the boat? Peter got out of the boat. Yes he did. By FAITH he walked on water…as long as he kept his eyes on Jesus. I think it means we are to ‘abide’ in Him….in all that we do….every day. Our salvation is IN Christ.
Boy, I have to remind myself of this daily. When I jump out of this ‘Frying Pan’ I call Life, and try to do “it” on my own….I wind up in the FIRE. I choose to follow hard after God.

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21403607.post-1138634525061964312006-01-30T07:22:00.000-08:002006-01-30T07:22:05.126-08:00Isaiah 119Isaiah 1:19
If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;
NKJV

This is the verse that the Lord brought to me this morning as I was looking around at my circumstances, trying to think of a way to take care of ‘things’ by myself.
God is good.
His Mercy endures forever!
Let HIS Mercy flow over you this day.

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21403607.post-1138280932414448702006-01-26T05:08:00.000-08:002006-01-26T07:15:47.863-08:00God Answers Prayer
It started this past fall. Here in New Mexico, it has been dry, very dry. We have been in a drought for the past several years. The last two years, everyone thought that the drought was coming to an end. We were blessed with a lot of mountain snow and rain. So the water ran freely. This past summer and fall turned dry once again and, no moisture. One gets to think that perhaps God has forgotten about us. We hear of the wild fires burning up thousands of acres in bordering states and the devastating stories of people loosing their homes and we wonder if God has forgotten about us. Do you see how we let ourselves be deceived?
One minute we are up and the next we are down. In the process we need someone to blame…so we blame God. After all, we reason, God ‘can’t be seen’…we don’t even know if He exists.
As Christians, we really aren’t any different. We tend to believe ‘in’ God on Sunday and forget about Him during the week. Then comes Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting and we are once again ‘on-fire’ for Him. Up….and ….Down.
This brings to mind the account of Jesus walking with the disciples from Bethany to Jerusalem. He was hungry and from a distance saw a fig tree that had many leaves on it. As He approached the tree He found nothing but…leaves. No fruit. Jesus cursed that tree saying, “Let no one eat fruit from you ever again.” His disciples heard His remark. {Mark 11:14}
The next day as they passed by that fig tree, they saw that it had dried up and withered away from its roots. The disciples were astonished at how rapidly the tree that had been cursed by the Lord had begun to disintegrate. When Peter mentioned this to Jesus, Jesus answered them saying, “Have FAITH in GOD”. Jesus was telling His disciples to have the God Kind of Faith.
What FAITH do you have? For All I Trust Him. I want that kind of FAITH all the time. To trust Him for ALL that I think, say and do. For every step I take….not just on Sunday and Wednesday, but every day.
I trust God that He is in control of all circumstances in our lives and on this earth.
Romans 8:28 says, “…ALL things work together for good…” I’m not taking that verse out of context….read it for your self.
Last night we did get some moisture in the form of snow…about 2”. God is in control and He is in the business of answering prayer. BUT…when you pray…”let him ask in faith, with no doubting…” {James 1:6}
Ask in faith, without doubting that God take control of your life today. Submit to Him and let Him be Lord of your life and watch as God Answers your Prayers.

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21403607.post-1138128187509777672006-01-24T10:43:00.000-08:002006-01-24T10:43:07.513-08:00Why Should GOD Be Praised?Because we, all homo-sapiens, were created to Worship God.

From the Holy Bible we learn that we are to Worship the ONE and only true God who calls Himself, Jehovah, is a jealous God.

No one in this day and age Preaches real “Hell Fire and Brimstone”. It seems as though that everything is sugar coated so it is easier to swallow. The media is now instantaneous around the world. Some will say that we don’t need to know what the Bible or Jesus taught because that’s so outdated. However, because we have gotten away from Worshiping God and have put other gods before us, like the pursuit of money, lusting after “things” and “stuff” and our neighbors’ wife…. It needs to be said that there is life after death and for some… it will not be pleasant.

Dear people-all who read this blog- Hell is a very real place. No one is ever given a second chance…It is appointed to man, Once to Die…. Why take a chance? Why be stupid? Why NOT accept Jesus into your life today???
My mother, bless her, always used to say, “Better safe than sorry.” Isn’t it better to welcome Jesus into your heart (the very center of your being) than to “take a chance”? Just as much as HELL is a very real place….so is HEAVEN. Much is said in the Bible about both places.
If it is in your heart right now, it is because you are being convinced and convicted of the sin in your life. Jesus, 100% God and 100% Man, came to this world to die for you and me. He left Heaven to come here to this earth to be born as a human, to walk this planet as a man, to endure all the same thoughts, emotions and feelings that you and I do. HE, JESUS, was without sin….HE did not sin… BUT… HE took upon Himself all your sin. When He hung on the cross, He took your sin with Him and died for you. The Heavenly Father loved His Son, Jesus but had to turn His Back on Jesus when He was hanging on the cross, dieing…..because HE could not stand to see SIN. Just as Jesus was dieing, he proclaimed, “It is finished”. No more sacrifice for the sin of the world, yours and mine, would ever again need to be made. HE, Jesus, Paid IT ALL. So, when you accept Jesus into your life as your personal Savior, do it with a clear mind. Say a simple prayer, perhaps like this:
Heavenly Father, I know I’m a sinner. I want to accept Jesus into my heart right now and believe that the blood that Jesus shed on the cross was for my forgiveness. Make me a new person. I believe that You, Jesus, are the Son of God and that You died for me. I renounce the works of the devil in my life and thank You for loving me so much that You died for me. Right now I receive You as my Savior and want You to be Lord of my life. I pray this in Jesus’ Name. AMEN

If you just prayed that prayer, congratulations! You are born again, a “new Creature in Christ….old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Beginning now….you have a new life in JESUS to look forward to.
Start by looking for a church in your community that preaches and teaches God’s Word…the Holy Bible. Then get involved with the people of that church. Read your Bible everyday. {how do I know you have one? If you don’t, e-mail me and I’ll send you one.} Pray, talk to God, everyday.

Let me know that you’ve accepted Jesus and I will help you to learn more about HIM.
God Bless You REAL Good.

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-21403607.post-1138047604870914062006-01-23T12:19:00.000-08:002006-01-24T11:52:33.670-08:00 Hi,
I'm Pastor Jerry and this is my beautiful wife, Janet. This is a self portrait, taken at arms length with our digital camera.
We are downtown Cuba, New Mexico, watching the "Tree Parade". We are relatively new to Cuba....only been here two years, but love it here. We preach God's Word to anyone that will listen. We believe there is only One Way to Heaven and that is to accept Jesus as Savior and Lord. Cuba was honored with the privilege of obtaining the National Christmas Tree for the White House Lawn from the Santa Fe National Forest, just a few miles up the road from where we live. All the surrounding communities came out for the parade. It was a very BIG event for the small village of Cuba. Our village Mayor was invited to Washington, D.C. for the lighting of the Christmas Tree. We are very pleased to have seen so many turn out for this event.

Pastor Jerry Knasinskihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17051185738216791657noreply@blogger.com0
